The Long Story

After a short time of shedding tears for both the reveal of her wolf and a precious memory return to her, Ellie has calmed herself down.

‘Sorry about that. I didn’t think I would hear that again. Or that there even was a lullaby sung to me once upon a time,' she apologized to Eliza.

'It's okay. I understand, Ellie,' she accepted. 'So how do you feel now?'

'I actually feel relieved. I thought there was no one in my life who gave a damn about me. But a lullaby? A mother would only give their child a lullaby if they really loved them.'

'Especially us werewolves,' Eliza added.

'Yeah...' Ellie went silent as she recalled the lullaby her wolf hummed to her, prompting her to ask something else. 'Do you... remember more? About my original family?'

It was silent when she asked that. Ellie herself did not know which response she wanted from her wolf. If Eliza only remembers the lullaby and a few other things, that was fine for her. But, if she knows more...
