Chapter Seventy: Unexpected Introduction

Ava's POV

As soon as we stepped into the house, a man whom I guessed was the butler walked over to where we stood and greeted us as he gestured to some staff to go and get our smaller bags from the car.

"Alpha Logan, it's such a pleasure to see you again after such a long time."

"I know right? It's been a while."

Turning to me, he continued "Good evening my lady, it's a pleasure to have you. I'm Kendrick the butler."

He was visibly older than Logan and I put together but he was still as agile as ever. I took his extended arm and proceeded to introduce myself.

"Well, there's not much introduction to do. I'm Ava Silverpelt but you can call me Ava."

Smiling, he turned to Logan who smiled back and then he turned back to address me. "As you can visibly see, I'm a man of age," he chuckled, using one hand to cover his mouth as if he didn't want Logan to hear what he was going to say next he continued, "But I'm young at heart." We all laughed and then he picked up from where he stopped.
