Chapter Seventy Six: My Turn

Aiden's POV

I paced up and down in my study as I tried to place my hands on where to begin picking up my pieces from. I had played my cards the wrong way and now, I was reaping the repercussions. I wasn't ever a careful player, I was always reckless and every time things went wrong, I didn't seem to learn any lesson but maybe that was because things rarely went wrong and I always had my way.

I finally realized that my way wasn't always the best way and sometimes, listening to others might save my ass from always getting burnt.
