Shit!

I scramble to my feet and turn around fast as I can. Forgetting the ache on my feet and legs, I find myself running aimlessly away from the rogue. He roars before kicking his paws as he chased after me deeper into the woods.

My heart is thumping wildly against my chest while I kept looking back to check whether there's still enough distance between us.

He was getting closer. My knees are slowly getting weak, and my body is screaming to stop.

But I fought against it. There's no point in stopping now when I've already come all this way just to get that stupid human back.

I groan inwardly as I picture that human begging Alex for his mercy. If she hadn't rejected him in the first place, none of this will ever happen. I grunt to myself.
