AMBER’S POV

Why’s he staring at me like that? If it weren’t for what Hannah had told me earlier, I would’ve told this rude alpha, things that he won’t like. How can he persuade me to compliment him and when I ask for mine, he refuses bluntly? This isn’t right. This sort of thing could make me lose my cool easily. I think this alpha is intentionally getting me angry. Amber, you have to control yourself and be calm. You can’t let such a rude man get to you. C’mon, I lived with a man named Vermont. There’s no man on earth as arrogant as he is. If I could live with such a man for fifteen years, I could leave with Logan for a few months, I thought.

“It’s all good, alpha Logan, you don’t have to compliment my looks or my outfit anymore. I’m not one of those ladies that needs to be complimented before they get on with their food,” I said, wearing a serious smile.

“From the look on your face, one could tell that you have been waiting to be complimented the very moment you put on your dress,”
