LOGAN’S POV

I grunted loudly as I held my hurtung left arm. The arm I I used to cast the spell immediately stopped working. My left arm became temporarily paralyzed. The spell to take someone’s life wasn’t expected to be easy to pull off. My arm may stop working for a weak or two.

I managed to take down vampire 1 and 4 but at the cost of my left arm.

“How’s that arm?” Gertrude asked.

“It’s pretty useless. If it holds me back too much I’ll rip it off,” I said with a serious look on my face.

“How can you say you want to rip your arm so casually. You’ve got serious mental problems, you know?”

“I’d rather live with one arm than die while trying to protect a useless arm,” I said as I stood up boldly.

The only vampires left on my end were vampires 2 and 3. Though vampire 2’ fist was broken. He was still a formidable opponent.

“You’ve done it now, Alpha Logan! Chris was like a brother to me!” Vampire 2 yelled angrily as he rushed towards me. His footsteps became heavier as he got closer to m

AMBER’S POVIt’s been a week since I shook hands with that rude lady named Alice. And it’s been a week since I was invited for breakfast with the alpha. This time I was invited for dinner.I hope there’s luck on my side today. If the moon goddess cares even a little bit for me then she would make sure that Alice doesn’t come for dinner. I don’t know why I’m worrying about her. I have seen her for some days. She must’ve gotten tired of her own drama and left for her pack. I should boldly have dinner without worrying about her, I thought.“Why are you preparing like you’re late for something? Are you perhaps going anywhere?” Beth asked with a puzzled look on her face.“Yes. I’ve been invited by the alpha for dinner. I have a favor to ask you before I leave. Will you help me?” I asked while preparing.“Of course! I’ll help you with anything you want, Amber! You can rely on me because I’m your best friend!” Beth exclaimed while playing with Grandal. She threw him into the air and caught h

LOGAN’S POV“How’s that arm doing?” Gertrude asked.“Honestly, I don’t even know. It’s just numb. I can’t feel my left arm at all,” I said as I took off my bloody coat. My coat was stained with blood from carrying Luke. Luke and Ghen passed out after fighting. Moreover, I had no choice but to carry them and flee.“What’s wrong, Logan? You look worried.”“Of course I am!” I yelled as I banged my fist on the table in my room.“You’re right. You have every right to be annoyed. Forgive me for asking such stupid questions,” Gertrude. We heard a knock on the door just when we were discussing.“Who is it?” I asked with a puzzled look on my face because I had told everyone not to disturb me.“A maid with a letter, your highness,” she said from behind the door.“Come In,” I replied. The maiden came into the room with a scroll in her hands. She placed the scroll on my desk before exiting the room. But before she left, she told me that there was another letter for me. She mentioned that the guar

LOGAN’S POVToday was the day I had to visit the Zion pack no matter what. I could only imagine what kind of trick Vladya’s right hand man is going to try and play on us. After freshening, I headed to the meeting room. I had called for a meeting with my prestigious men. When I got to the meeting room, they were all there. Luke and Ghen were feeling better after resting. They could barely stand but it was better than when they were unconscious.“You all don’t know about this, but Vladya’s right hand man sent another letter yesterday. Not only him, the alpha of the Zion pack sent a note, asking for me. Vladya’s right hand mans’ note ended with I’m pretty sure that you know my next destination. " I'll see you soon,” I continued. “And right after I finished reading his letter was when the letter of Laura, the alpha of the Zion pack came in. This only means that he’s planning to do something to bring Shame to my name at the Zion pack. I’m telling you all this because I want your opinion on

AMBER’S POVIt was two days ago that Alice and I sat by the waterfall and discussed like normal wolves. We discussed like we were actual friends. Speaking with her wasn’t so bad after all. She walks about, acting rude and calling everyone different Romanesque when she’s actually a nice person. When speaking with her, I felt like I was speaking to someone I could relate to. I kind of felt like we were bonding. But after that day, the resentment we had towards each other grew a lot more.it was as if we didn’t want anyone to know and recognize us as friends. During the day we avoided each other. We only sit together when watching the stars.“You’ll have to get dressed, Grandal. Beth will be here soon,” I said while chasing little Grandal. He wasn’t just a bug baby for no reason. As little as he was, he had started crawling. Not only was he crawling, he was pretty fast at it.I managed to catch him and forcefully dress him up. He really loved being naked. He despises clothes so much becau

AMBER’S POV“Bye, Scott. Laura and I will visit the waterfall before returning to the palace,” Alice said as she took me by my hand and headed for the waterfall. It was evident on her face that she had found out about Alpha Logan.I was still very flabbergasted from what had happened, so much that I couldn’t utter a word. I was in shock seeing alpha Scott holding my diary. What if he had found out? What will become of my child and I if he had found out? I knew he was a good wolf but what would his reaction be? He wouldn’t be happy in the slightest. So many questions kept popping in my head as I thought about what had just happened. Alice and I sat on our usual rock.“Alice?” I called.“Yes?”“I know you’ve found out about what’s inside this book. When did you find out?” I asked.“To be frank, I found out when I first saw your child. I saw his red hair and his unusual body size and I figured it out. I had first thought that you were one of his concubines who ran away because you didn’t

AMBER’S POVIt turned out that Alice had known about my relationship with alpha Logan but kept it to herself. I was glad to have met a friend like her. Alice has helped me a lot. I was able to vent to her and talk like a normal person to her. All those fake smiles I’ve been wearing on my face when speaking to Alpha Scott or Elizabeth-I turned them aside and spoke to Alice from my heart. Beth and Alice are my friends. Now I know the difference between friends and friends. Just like with Hannah. Hannah played a mother's fight for me and was there anytime I needed her. It still seems as though she’s there for me anytime. She has come in the form of Alice to protect me once again. It seems like she still won’t forget about me after all I have done. After letting out all I’ve been holding back, she chose to tell me the bad news. He said that she was to be leaving for her palace today. Though she would return, it still felt like sad news to me. She had told me she would be leaving very earl

I don’t know what he’s planning but I think it’s time we took him seriously and take him down,” I said as I sipped from my glass.“So what are your plans for today, Master,” Luke asked.“I planned on resting but I still haven’t fulfilled the promise I made to the alpha of Zion pack. I had promised to visit her soon but I didn’t . She even went to the trouble of sending me a note begging me to pay her a visit,” I sighed heavily as I chugged my drink.“Should I organized a meeting with your prestigious men to relay the message and for you to pick your escorts?” Luke asked.“Yes. Do that,” I said.Luke gestured a bow before exiting my room.“So what do you plan on doing?” Gertrude asked.“What do I plan on doing? I’m not planning on doing anything, honestly. I loosened the tape on the left leg of the bird and brought out a short note. This bird was a messenger bird. Ones used only in emergencies.“From the alpha of the white wing pack. Something has come up. I need to speak with you,” I concluded the letter. “Let’s go, Killian!”“What’s the meaning of this?!” Jayde yelled furiously. “Where the hell are you going?!”We immediately left without giving her a reply.“What do you think, Logan?” Gertrude asked as we journeyed. LOGAN'S POVIt's been a week since Amber and I were joined by the mating bond in the mating ceremony. The preceding days have been nothing but blissful. Carrying Grandal everywhere with me, even to court meetings with the elders of the pack. It felt like I was trying to make up for the times that we were apart from each other. As for Amber, she glowed every day, blossoming like a flower. Every day, I set my eyes on her, I can't help but desire to take her to bed and make love to her.But then, I didn't mean to rush things. I had treated her badly in the past, sexually, and would want our sexual encounters henceforth to be better. It was a bright cool morning and I prepared for my meeting with the elders. We had a lot to deliberate on, and I wouldn't want to keep them waiting.I arrived at the pack's house, the sun slowly rising from its abode in the sky. I walked into the hall and the elders were already seated, their faces expectant.I exchanged pleasantries with them, as I took my s

LOGAN'S POVI had assembled my men on returning from the seer's home. I filled them in on what the seer revealed, and I also informed them about the ritual to be held. They were all supportive as they all wanted Scott defeated as much as I wanted. So in the preceding days, I made preparations for the ritual, making provision for all the necessary materials we needed. And so the D–day arrived. The seer led me and my men to a large, open field on the outskirts of the Red Fanged Pack's territory. The moon was full in the sky, casting a silver glow over us. My men stood in a circle around me, their eyes fixed on me.The seer stood at the center of the circle, her eyes closed, her hands raised to the moon. “The moon goddess demands a ritual to weaken Scott's hold on the sacred pot,” she declared, her voice reverberating across the field.I nodded, my heart pulsating with anticipation. I knew that this ritual was the key to rescuing my mate and son.The seer began to chant, her voice risi

LOGAN'S POVThat night, I couldn't sleep as I kept tossing on the bed, nightmares of Amber and Grandal sleeping in a dungeon plaguing my dream.I couldn't believe Scott could be that cruel to a little child. I was even more angry at Amber for running off to my enemy's territory.I was unable to sleep as I rose from bed in the wee hours of the morning to visit my study. I tried to attend to some paperwork to get my mind off the events of the previous day, but I couldn't.It was in my restless state that I fell asleep on my study chair. The knock on the door roused me from sleep.“Come in,” I answered, groggily sitting up.My advisor stepped in, his face bearing an urgent expression. “Good morning, Alpha. The seer has sent for you on the moon goddess’s order.”My eyes immediately lit up. “Is it about my mate and son?”“I doubt. You have to hear her call right away.”I nodded and rose from the chair as I made my way back to my chambers. I freshened up and got changed into something befit

SCOTT'S POVAfter sending out the letter to Logan, I instructed my men to get prepared because I was sure Logan would come for war.He was a man of pride who never said no challenges, and just like I predicted, he arrived with his men Two days after I sent out the letter.“Alpha Logan and his men are here, armed to the teeth.” My advisor came to inform me, in my study.I let out an amused laughter. “Just like I expected. The men should not panic because he and his men won't be able to penetrate.” I said with so much confidence. My advisor nodded and exited the study. After he left, I took my time before heading outside to see Logan and his men. I walked out of the study, a smirk plastered on my face. I made my way to the palace gate, where Logan and his men were waiting. As I approached, I could see the determination in their eyes, but I knew it was futile.“Logan, Logan, Logan,” I said, shaking my head. “You really thought you could take on me and my pack? You're no match for us.”

LOGAN'S POVSince our rescue, today was the day I was finally meeting with my men. The reason being that I wanted everyone to be fully recuperated for the tasks at hand.I intended to restore the pack to its previous state. Compensate every family that Noel had killed their loved one or loved ones or stolen from them.I also intended to compensate Jayde and Laura for the inhumane treatment meted out to them by Noel. I also handed back the Zion's pack back to Laura.Afterward, I want to begin my search for Amber and my son. But before that, I had to summon the moon goddess for her opinion.“You all are welcome,” I said to my men as they all assembled in the throne room, on my orders.“We have a lot to discuss, but first I want to specifically thank you all for sticking by me. It is only unfortunate that we lost one of us during that trying mind,” at the mention of that, their eyes turned misty.“Wherever he is, Killian will be happy to know that we got the pack back. For that, I want u

SCOTT'S POVI stormed out of Amber's room, my vision blinded by fury. I couldn't believe that the woman and her child I have been harboring and come to take as family are the mate and son of the man I detest with every single fiber of my being.Amber–who would have thought a woman as calm, conserved and innocent like her is capable of such deceit? More reasons why quiet females should be avoided at all cost.I arrived at my study, the walk from Amber's room doing nothing to alleviate how I was feeling. I felt used, betrayed and foolish.Lowering myself on my seat, I reminisced on the raid carried out by Logan and his men. My fury skyrocketed as I thought about the number of my soldiers and pack members that were lost that night. No matter how hard I tried to wave the painful thoughts, owing to my promise to Amber to keep her and Grandal safe, the images of that night still came surging back like an angry tide.My heart constricted painfully in my chest. You need to recover first, he will be here to get the penalty of his deeds. You need detoxification as I can smell poison all over you.” Sir James said, pulling me backward. As if on cue, I felt a wave of dizziness and I staggered backwards.“Are you okay?” I heard different voices in the background as my head swoon. I tried to stay stable, but couldn't. I doubled up, and my legs gave way beneath me as I lost consciousness. That was all I recalled as I woke up to find myself on a bed. Groggily, I opened my eyes and was met by pairs of worried eyes staring down at me.“Thank God he is awake,” a voice said, and I tried to prop myself up on the bed but stopped as a banging headache overtook me.“Don't stress yourself, Logan.

NOEL'S POVI turned to the maiden and harshly ordered her to leave my chambers. Hurriedly, I slipped my manhood back into my trousers.Turning to Olivia, I asked. “Are the soldiers retaliating?”“They are, but they seemed outnumbered. These people mean business, and the arms that they have with them are ones that I have never seen before.” Olivia explained, her eyes misty with fear.“Go on, I'm coming after you.”Hesitantly, she stared at me before hurrying off.Confusion overtook me as I slipped into my fighting clothes, wondering who these Invaders were. And to worsen things, they attacked at night, a vulnerable time when everyone would be exhausted from their diverse daily activities. My confusion was replaced by fear. My soldiers are not prepared enough because no one was expecting an attack.“Cowards!” I cussed at the Invaders. They didn't even have the decency to warn me beforehand about their attack.I was even more scared because there was no way to reach the Giants that had
