Chapter 5

Rick

I alighted the bike and slung my bag across my shoulder as I step into the academy.

"Hi!!" I heard a deep voice behind me.

"Wait is that not Liam??" I asked myself as I face the owner of the voice and yeah it's Luke.

Liam is the beta's son and unavoidably my beta when I become the alpha. Though most of the pack are worried about my lack of a wolf, Abhi's revelation seems to have gotten to everybody as they became more optimistic about me finding my wolf.

He's also my best friend, he and Joan. But I never thought they'll be coming here with me cause I can see both of them walking towards me and yeah they are mated to each other isn't that cool?

"What's up, man!" Liam said holding unto Joan's waist. I ignored him and turned on my heels.

"Hey man, wait up!!" He said and ran after me.

"What's going on? why are u running? ohh you don't like my face right?" He said smiling and winking at me.

"Hey Joan, how'd you keep up with this asshole??" I asked ignoring him again.

"Ouch!!" He said placing his hand on his chest and feigning a hurt face "Babe!! he just called me an asshole!!"

"Suck it up, big baby!!" I said smirking.

Liam’s a very dramatic person that's why I'm trying to run from him.

Joan chuckled watching our drama. She's a friend but since she became Luke's mate, we became more close.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked as we walk down the hallway to my locker.

I can see a lot of girls drooling at me and of course Luke, the guy is a hunk. Joan growled silently giving the girls a scare.

"Relax babe, no one's taking me away from you, we're stuck together forever." He said pecking her lips lightly.

I watched both of them and felt a little space in my heart. Liam found Joan when he was eighteen. He had to go to an alpha gathering instead of me, well cause I don't like staying around lots of people and the fact that I don't have my wolf is a concern. I am tagged an alpha with no wolf.

I'm now twenty five and yet I can't find my mate not without the usual getting the scent of the woman. I'm so damn fucked up.

"So, you both haven't tell me why you're here!" I stopped putting by hands in my pocket.

"Well…..!" Liam trailed off scratching his ears.

That's normal, I give them the scare, even if I lost my wolf, I'm still the strongest in my pack.

"Well we are here to help you find HER!!" Joan chipped in

"Her???? I'm lost." I said dumbfounded. I knew Abhi's revelation might have travelled wide but Liam and Joan were definitely not at the pack then. "How'd you hear about HER!!" I asked emphasizing on the HER.

"Well the Luna told us about it, and besides you don't expect me to stay away from you for a long time I mean, who am I gonna play with??" He said pouting.

"Eww, that definitely doesn’t suit you but I'm glad you're here!!" I said opening the locker and dropping my things inside. I guess to study here, I need books. I'm supposed to be undercover. It's not like I'm coming to investigate, I'm just here to find HER and get the hell outta here. I thought slamming close the locker.

Mom and dad's idea is there's higher possibility I find HER here.

When I told Abhi about the wolf I saw, he confirmed to me that it's HER wolf who's trying to speak with me and also that's she's gonna be close to me soon. Now how do I find HER. There's a lot of ladies here, I can't just walk up to them and ask if they are the one. I even asked Abhi how I'm gonna recognize her, all he said is "YOU'LL KNOW!!" How am I supposed to know.

"Let's go!" I said turning in the direction of one of the classes "if I'm going to find her, might as well head to class!"..

" yep, that's right. Let's go alpha boy!!"Liam said and I wonder if it's a good idea to have him here.

"How the heck am I gonna find him here??" I said slamming my locker shut.

"Calm down Livia, just claim down." Tess said rubbing my back.

Its a wonder how things could just change from melodramatic to completely dramatic. I've always dreamed of going to the outside world but I never knew its gonna be for this purpose. It's like finding a needle in a hay sack especially when the guys here looks like they wanna eat me up whole while the girls here have a death glare in their eyes.

If I'm powerful as mom said, I should be able to handle them. In fact I can handle them without any supernatural power since mom took it upon herself to teach us martial art. I watched Tess from the corner of my eyes and noticed her blue eyes got more deep after her shift.

I don't know what mom did to her all these years but that night, she gave her a concoction to drink and next thing I heard is bone breaking and screaming.

She shifted into a beautiful brown wolf with a hint of black on her fur.. And instead of blue, she has green eyes. I was so amazed and shocked that I couldn't move for like thirty minutes.

"Let's go to class!" She said drawing me out of my thoughts "let's start looking for him from there!"

I nod my head, picked my book and went to my first class and luckily we will both be having the same classes. I don't know how mom did it but she said so Tess will be able to protect me until I get my powers.

I was about to step into the class when my body butt into someone's hard own. I looked up and my eyes caught a black one. I hold my breath as I feel mesmerized by his normal eyes until he said "GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY WAY!!"
