Hazel's POV:.

Xavier was acting strange tonight. I knew him to be a gentleman. It even affected the way he killed most times.

The Xavier I knew would always kill swiftly and make sure it was less stressful for his victim but tonight, he was killing like a rabid dog. Tearing and maiming and sinking his claws into bodies several times.

I gave him a worried look. "Are you sure you're alright, Xavier?"

He looked at me and nodded while breathing heavily. "Of course, I am,"

I didn't believe him but there was a battle before us and I had to concentrate. The other men were killing off the robbers and just one of our men was injured. I was about to go help him up and take him to a safe place when I heard the sound of the gates opening outside.

Someone had successfully broken the locks. Without looking, I rushed towards the door and pulled at the latch.

"Hazel! Where the hell are you going?!" Xavier called after me.
