Hazel's POV:

I felt my soul leave my body and come back repeatedly as Felix said that. He was looking at me with so much disappointment written all over his face.

"You're a woman, you deceived us all." Kept ringing in my head as I settled into the bed.

Felix was still looking at me but he didn't look at me with so much respect as he used to.

He looked at me with intense curiosity like was piercing his eyes through my soul and it made me really uncomfortable.

I needed to act fast. I needed to make him pledge his trust to me.

"Felix,"

"Yeah?"

"Can you promise me something?"

"That's something I'm good at doing but bring it on. What am I promising you?"

"Do not let Xavier know of this. He's going to hate me. Can you do that for me?"
