Chapter 5

Alexander’s POV…

An unconscious human laid in the trunk and the only words that escaped my mouth were.

“MATE”

Within the matter of minutes, a completely dismantled cadaver of him laid lifeless on the road. And there I stood in my human form.

Mate is the only word Leo repeated as I opened the trunk of the truck.

This is my Leila. Leila is alive.

I stood there awestruck. Her beautiful skin, her long black hair cascading her face, her plum lips-parted slightly.

What angered me were the strikes of dried tears on her cheeks. It looks like she struggled before giving in.

I checked the vehicle for any necessary item that might be helpful for us in the forest. As a former member of the pack I know where we hide our weapons, I grabbed a loaded hand pistol from the glow compartment. Wolfsbane laced the knife from under the driver’s seat.

We always carry ropes, kerosene and lighter, just in case we need to get rid of someone’s body with us in the car.

Very carefully I picked my human mate up from the trunk and laid her down behind the bushes. Even in an unconscious state I don’t want her anywhere near my dirty business.

I collected the scattered body parts of the warrior's body.

‘Our mate is lying unconscious on bareground with no protection whatsoever, can you please hurry up?’, Whined leo.

‘I am doing it as fast as I can. Snapping his head would have worked too, who told you to dismantle his whole body?’, I snapped back.

As if Leo listened, he was busy doing his happy dance. He jiggles his butt the same way as cats do before attacking the prey. This is his happy dance.

Pouring kerosene on the warrior, I recite the prayer.

“Mother moon, I call to you.

Tonight, your energy is new.

As your cycle begins, so begins my journey.

May your silvery light guide my path along the way.”

With this I completed the ritual and set the soul free by igniting the body, indicating his surrender to the moon goddess.

‘What should we do now?’, I started brainstorming.

‘Let's hold our mate, look at her lovely face under the moonlight, bathe in her intoxicating smell and when she gets her consciousness back I will take control and mark her ’, Leo spoke sighing dreamily.

‘Sure, and what about Nicholas?’, I asked sarcastically.

This set Leo off, growling loudly. He surfaced again. Staying in our human form with Leo incharge, we approached our mate.

‘ I can't believe this’,he whispered, kneeling down beside our mate.

‘Isn't she beautiful?’ I asked with my chest swelling up with joy. I can't believe the moon goddess gave me a second chance. Second chance to make our life worthy.

‘Fragile’, muttered Leo caressing her cheek.

‘You can't mark her now’, I informed politely. I can feel how much Leo was admiring her.

‘Give me back the control, we need to leave’, I insisted.

Immediately Leo backed off, having met our mate, he was at his peace now.

Nicholas probably has already sent out hunters for me. I need to get far as soon as possible.

I need to find out my resources. I have a car, warrier’s cash, a gun, a knife laced with wolfsbane. That’s when I saw a bag in the trunk.

‘it's our mates stuff’, sighed Leo.

The duffle bag just had a few pieces of clothes, some cash and a picture of a beautiful lady.

‘You need to arrange some clothes, we can't meet our mate stark naked’ shrieked Leo.

‘Only if someone hadn’t dismantled our warrier’

‘How many times Alex?’

And this is how I walked in a convenience store just behind the gas station but naked to buy pants before our mate wakes up.

‘While we are at it, can you also buy underpants and some snacks? She might be hungry when she wakes up.’ Suggested leo.

‘Awww… scary  Alpha wolf who shredded a whole ass werewolf warrior just minutes ago is concerned if his human mate might be uncomfortable?’, I teased.

‘God I hate the air of city, polluted chemical laden air, cant even breath’

‘Can't agree more’ I speed walked outside the store while the ladies eyefucked at me, after I wore pants. Thank the moon goddess, I didn’t walk in from the front door.

After humiliating events in the store we drove off. Me on the driver’s seat and my beautiful mate on the passenger seat.

‘Can't wait till she wakes up’, I smiled looking at her.

We need to drive as far as we can in at least time possible from the majestic lunar pack. We will go further north.

The chloroform started to wear off. She started stirring in her sleep, mumbling incoherent words in her sleep.

“You…fuck….dissect tribes….army” were the only words I was able to pick up from her mumbling.

“You fuck dissect tribal army?” 

‘What does this mean?’, asked Leo with curiosity.

‘I don’t know’ I replied.

‘What do you mean you don’t know? You are supposed to be the smarter one here’, he yelled.

I guess someone has turned into dramatic fudge ever since they have laid their eyes on this human.

We need to find a place soon. She will wake up any minute now.

A few minutes later, tears started rolling down her cheeks.

I parked the car on the side of the road. Slowly she opened her eyes. She has beautiful amber eyes, perfect golden speckled in blackish brown iris.

She observed her surroundings lazily looking for something in her half dazed state.

“Do you need water?”, I asked.

Her eyebrow seized. She nodded her head once. She still hasn’t looked towards me.

She gulped down the whole bottle in one go and rested her head on the window.

‘How come the drug hasn’t worn off yet?’, enquired Leo

‘May be warrior injected her with sleep serum’, he assumed.

‘Correct’

‘Or may be she is just exhausted’

‘May be’

I started driving slowly. We are in the mountain region now. I stayed here for half a year for my training.

I need to lay low for a while.

As we drove, I saw a cabin. It looked abandoned but in good shape, this will be our humble abode for a while.

It was still in pretty good shape, just the door lock was knocked off and few damages here and there, I can renovate it within a few days.

I let her sleep in the car while I cleaned the cabin. It had a water supply and power generator. Good for us.

I realized I made a huge mistake leaving her in the car alone as soon as I walked out of the cabin.

‘She ran away’, growled Leo.

“Must be nearby”, I whispered focusing on my hearing and there it was, the sound of dry heaving.

She stood behind the car, hunched over trying to puke.

After three minutes of unsuccessful heaving came out the loads of waterwork.

“Are you done?”, I enquired.

“Give me a sec”, she croaked out.

Her voice is so angelic.

I grabbed the stuff from the car meanwhile she stood there breathing heavily. I didn’t even get time to hold her hair back, it all happened too fast.

“Are you okay?”, I asked.

“Much better”, was her reply.

She sat down on the porch Indian style and started humming.

‘Why isn’t she freaking out?’, asked Leo

‘Why are you freaking out?’, I asked him.

‘She was kidnapped, she should be freaking out’

‘She is our mate, her instincts must be compelling her to us’, I replied.

‘Oh come on, she hasn’t even looked at you’, Leo scoffed.

Dropping the stuff inside, I joined her on the porch. 

“What’s your name?”, I asked.

“Crystal”, she whispered. Everything about her is beautiful.

“What's yours?”, she asked looking at me for the first time.

“Alexander. You can call me Alex” I spoke. She maintained eye contact. She isn’t affected with our Alpha blood.

“Well Alex, do you have water and painkiller?”, she asked.

I immediately dashed in. “We have water”, I spoke.

“Every car has an emergency medical kit, go grab painkillers from the kit”, she scoffed.

I eyed her from the doorway “go grab em?” I asked, raising my eyebrows. I certainly do have a dominant side, mate or no mate. I demand respect.

“Please?”, she bettered her eyelashes at me.

‘She is broken’, laughed Leo.

I handed her the painkillers and water.

“So..ahem…hey”, she spoke with uncertainty. She is intimidated by me.

“Hello, miss Crystal”

‘Don’t say mrs, don’t say mrs’, whispered leo

“Sorry you had to see all that”, she said gesturing towards her waterworks, “and ya also thanks for the painkillers”.

“You are welcome”

“It was nice meeting you Alexander”, she spoke and a loud purr escaped from my chest.

She looked at me funny. I acted as if nothing happened.

“Did you make that noise?”, she enquired.

“What noice?”

Squinting her eyes she stared with suspicion. I took a step towards her while maintaining eye contact. She didn’t step back.

“Yep, so I will be on my way now”, she said, clapping her hand once and laughing nervously.

“No you will not” I replied immediately.

“Yes I will”, her eyes hardened. The eye contact is still not fleeting.

Two can play the game. The dominance I was suppressing till now oozed out. I can't help it, nor can Leo.’

Admittedly, both of us are turned on right now.

I bent down to her ear and spoke just above the whisper“you will go inside the cabin, take a bath right now”.

Then it hit me, the smell of her sweet arousal. As much as she is appealing right now, she does have some strong chemicals on her which I absolutely hate. 

Grasping loud she took a step back. Straightening up, I repeat but with complete dominance this time, “ NOW”.

And this is how you make your mate run in the bathroom ladies and gentlemen.

I stayed outside the cabin. Just the idea of her naked in the bathroom surfaced leo. In order to hold Leo and myself back, we need to maintain some distance. We will only mark her when she permits us to.

I entered the cabin only when I heard her walking into the lounge. There she stood awkwardly near the couch, giving me the side sore eye.

“I am going to tie you to this door until I return, okay?”, I spoke walking towards her. Her hair dripping wet, soaking her shirt didn’t help my condition here. I need a cold shower as soon as possible.

“I won't run away,” she promised.

“Sure but I don’t trust you”, I said.

The fact that she still is turned on added fuel to fire. I felt Leo surfacing again, wanting to mark our mate.

“I said I won’t run away”, she spoke again but with aggression.

“Lower your eyes” I commanded.

She didn’t listen.

Picking her up with her waist I pushed her on the wall. Her breathing hitched. She shut her eyes close.

I grabbed her face, making her look at me. I felt her breath on my face.

“Listen to me carefully crystal, I won't repeat myself. Do you understand?” I gritt.

She barely nodded.

Closing the remaining distance between us, I spoke again, only this time she could feel my hardon.

“You will be respectful to me and obey me” I spoke in an octave lower making the goosebumps on her hand rise.

“Yes?”

“Yes”, she spoke, releasing a shaky breath from her mouth.

Her eyes are beautiful, so is she.

Slowly I lowered myself towards her lips. She moved forward and kissed me before I could kiss her.

Her movements were hurried. This kiss was not innocent at all.

Soon it turned into a heated makeout session, with her hands on my shoulders pulling me towards her.

Leo started surfacing, my canine extended along with claws.

No...no... no...no...no.
