Chapter 1

The alpha stood tall, he finally claimed his pack, yes his pack. He is and shall remain the alpha of the most powerful pack of the world “the majestic lunars”.

The howls of cheers under the full moon filled the forest with rejoice. Everyone buoyed up  and celebrated the descendant of the legendary Alpha bloodline, the descendant of ALPHA KILLIAN.

FEW HOURS AGO…

With chest all puffed out, Alpha Killian stood in front of his sons. “Proud” isn’t the word that could describe Killian's admiration for his boys. One of them will ascend to become Alpha, to carry leverage of the pack and will continue writing the history of werewolves.

“The Majestic Lunars is the most ancient and powerful werewolf pack in the world. Your ancestors worked hard for the survival and development of our pack. Only the one who desires to sacrifice anything for the pack can become Alpha. I have sacrificed many things for the pack, and for the sacred ground you are standing upon.” Alpha killian’s powerful voice boomed in the room. Twins listened to their alpha intendly, not even missing a beat. It was their alpha talking, and not their father.

“Remember, Alpha never dominates the pack, he serves. I have served the pack for over a century. It’s time to loosen up the burden on this aged shoulders. I want to be free from this leadership. From now on this great responsibility shall be upon your shoulders.” Alpha commanded.

“Hear this with ears sharp. One of you will continue the legacy. One of you will become Alpha today. I repeat. Only one of you. “ Alpha's voice wavered. The father within started the show up. 

“Always have each other's back. Promise me, you will always protect each other no matter what are the circumstances” killian solicited. 

“We will” Both Nicholas and Alexander uttered with determination. The eyes of sons sparkled with full enthusiasm. The babies who shared the single womb in werewolf species have always shared a unique bond throughout their life. First born Twins in the Alpha bloodline were rare, this is what scared Alpha killian. 

Alpha killian has always been proud of his children. Being a father was the love beyond feeling that resonated in his heart. Killian raised them alone. Luna died immediately after giving birth to faith, their youngest child. Nicholas, Alexander and Faith. Nicholas the first child, just a minute older than Alexander and their little sister faith. 

“You know the ritual, both of you will have to fight until one gives up. The one who wins will become the descendant, the Alpha. “ stated Alpha killian.

The lunar ceremony is an auspicious occasion. The ritual is performed on the night of blood moon. After every century the powers of one Alpha are descended to the successor by summoning Selena “the moon goddess”.

The former Alpha whose power is to be transferred suffer excruciating pain as power migrates to the successor Alpha. Whereas the new Alpha experiences immense energy coursing through his vein, the size of his wolf increases along with his powers. Nevertheless, the process involves pain on both ends.

Luna plays a very important role in the lunar ceremony. When the pain becomes insufferable to the alphas, luna projects the excessive pain to her through mate bond. With the Alpha killian being mateless now he will have to suffer alone throughout the process.

Faith has always blamed herself for her mother’s death and so did half of the pack. Certain members of the pack have always projected their anger towards faith since childhood. Being targeted from childhood, she grew-up to be a bold yet empathetic girl. 

Today was the day she dreaded, she knew a day would come when one of her brothers will become the Alpha and her daddy will suffer alone after that. With the lack of Luna, there are chances that Alpha doesn’t survive after the ceremony. Faith seemed desiderate of her mother.  This was the reason why faith had been in Luna’s memorial room, sitting in front of her mother’s beautiful portrait, begging for forgiveness. 

On the other hand the twin brothers stood in the balcony of their shared room, looking over the ceremony ground being decorated. They were inseparable since birth. Both equally powerful, witty and handsome. Leila entered the room, her intoxicating smell distracted them both. 

Leila comes from the powerful beta bloodline of Crimson moon pack. She is a beautiful young woman with big doe eyes and with a kind empathetic heart, on top of that she had also been trained for the battles. She is the powerful, strong and beautiful mate of Alexander and Nicholas. 

It came as a shock to all three of them when they came to know they were mates, Nicholas and Alexander always thought they would be mated to a pair of twins, just like them. Leila left her crimson blood pack as soon as she realized Nicholas and Alexander were her mates. At that time, twins were 21 years old and Leila 18 years old. 

“Leila” whispered Nicholas. 

“Alphas” spoke Leila seductively as she stepped into their balcony.

Placing a gentle kiss on both of their cheeks she stood between them.

The scratching sunny afternoon ended before them , bringing the cool evening with gentle orange rays.

“Are you ready?” whispered Leila anxiously. Everything was going to change from tonight. All three of them won't be equals, one of them will be the most powerful Alpha, another will be luna and the third will be left alone. The one who loses today will be given the so-called title of ‘Alpha’ with no power. Things won't be the same, with power comes responsibility and with responsibility comes sleepless nights. 

One of the twins will drown in responsibilities and the other in shame. Leila knew this very well, hence she came up with the solution, the only solution that will save the dignity of the losing twin tonight. She cant even stand the idea of losing any of her mates.

She felt Nicholas’s hand crawling around her waist and Alexander's hand gripping her shoulders. 

The mate bond enabled them to read each other’s emotions and feelings. The twins were able to read the restlessness of Leila from the past couple of months. 

“We are as ready as we can be” spoke Alex kissing her forehead.

“All we want is you to relax” added Nick, placing a kiss on her cheek.

Leila squeezed out of their arms. Wanting to have private conversation, she gestured to them to get inside the room. She made the brothers sit on the bed and stood in front of them. 

Clearing her throat she started, “ I know you are twins and share this unique inseparable bond but I can feel it…. I...I can feel something terrible is going to happen tonight in the pit of my stomach.”

She gave her pointed look to Alex as he got up, she doesn’t need physical touch, she wants a serious conversation.

“Leila we have figured it out” consoled Alex.

“No, you can never figure out this stuff, no one has ever witnessed anything like this” her shoulders dropped. 

“What do you want us to do?” asked Nicholas, holding her hands.

Her face visibly lit up, the twins shared the knowing look. They knew something was cooking in the mind of their little mate.

“You are” she emphasized, looking both of them in their eyes, “ going to fight till one of you can't” she waited for them to respond. 

“and?” asked Nicholas.

“ I am proud of you both” she kissed Nicholas, “ and I love you both equally with all my heart” she cooed gently kissing Alexander.

“Umm-hmm” urged the twin for her to go on.

“You both are my mate” she said brushing her hand on their marks. “I can't see any of you losing”

“We will still be together” interjected Nicholas.

“Yes we will. We will be together just like we are in the very same room with our beautiful mate” confirmed Alexander.

“I want you to promise me” stated Leila, battering her eyes on her mates. The one who wins becomes Alpha and the one who loses will be Beta” 

“That’s impossible Leila” sighed Alexander. 

“No. You have to promise me.” Snapped Leila.

Nicholas pulled Leila on his lap, “We are from legendary alpha bloodline, we  cannot be beta” he cooed.

“Alpha decides who will be beta after the ceremony.” She argued.

“We have a very strong beta bloodline. That will be injustice for them” state Nicholas.

“And insulting” added Alex in agreement.

“I don’t know any of that, just promise me” Leila states stubbornly with her eyes brimming with tears.

The twins sighed, they could not insult the beta bloodline, nor they can let their mate down. Leila wasn't a needy weak girl, she was a smart wise woman. It was hard for twins to understand her pain, although they could feel it via mate bond.

“We can discuss this after the Alpha ceremony” commanded Nicholas leaving no room for argument.

Everyone gathered around the sacred ceremony ground. The lamps lit the place and flowers surrounded the sacred ground. 

The pack of 10000 members of Majestic lunars gathered around the ground. Bleachers were placed for better view of sacred ground.

Most of the males were in their wolf epitome, to witness the presence of Selena, “the moon goddess”. The women for higher ranking occupied the front positions while the omegas were scattered behind, in the last.

Beta Drake stood in the middle of the sacred ground, calming the over-excited crowd. Alpha Killian entered the ground with howls of wolf and cheers from the crowd.

“Thank you. This is the last day of my reign.” The Alphas voice boomed amidst the crowd followed by cheering.

“I served the majestic lunar pack with my heart and soul and today the moon goddess shall free me from this responsibility.” 

“A new chapter of history will be written tonight. The rare Twin alpha bloods will fight today until one of them can't fight anymore.”

“You have accepted both, Nicholas and Alexander as your Alphas since their birth” the crowd cheered saying ‘yes’ 

“ Selena will allow only one of them to form the mind L**k, a sacred bond between alpha and all of the members of pack, only one of them will be your true alpha”

“But” the alpha killian’s voice deepens “ I have a last command for you” 

“Respect your new alpha as you respect me” 

“Yes alpha” the voice echoed.

“OBEY THE TWIN, NONE SHALL BETRAY” Alpha's command reached everyone through a mind l**k.

“None shall betray” echoed.

Soon Beta Drake gave his last command to the pack along with Beta bloodline. Nicholas, Leila and Alexander were soon called up on the ground. 

The whole pack kneeled before the Alpha killian to show their respect. 

Within no time the fight began. 

The Twins stood against each other. 6.5 inches tall Alpha twins looked intimidating in their fighting stance. Both of them are ready to fulfil their duty of serving the pack.

Alexander attacked first, a crescent kick which was successfully dodged by Nicholas. Kicks after kicks, punches after punches, Alexander fully determined to win against his brother, he was in attacking mode tonight.

Both of them have shut their twin l**k, as if they have shut all the emotions out. They were trained for this day from their birth. It was the fighter within them growling, and not the brother.

Adrenaline rushed into the audience's vein by the display of pure masculinity.  

Alexander landed the side kick causing the Nicholas to stumble back.  Nicholas waited for another kick, as soon as Alexander attempted his front kick, Nicholas grabbed his ankle and twisted it in an awkward ankle, breaking the tibia bone of Alexander's ankle.

Werewolves are known to have great healing properties, but that too takes time. 

Alexander fell on his back. Grabbing the opportunity, Nicholas started punching Alexander.

The sound of punches caused everyone’s goosebumps to raise.

Alexander head butted Nicholas followed by a kick and punch on his stomach, hence successfully removing Nicholas from his personal space.

“now”

An eerie silence left the audience in wonder  followed by the bone breaking noise. A clear sound of break of bones indicated that Alphas have decided to fight in their wolf form.

The mesmerizing black wolf of Nicholas against the drool worthy white wolf of alexander. Both the wolves are equally big with lush thick hair adding to their beauty. 

They growled and attacked each other, biting and dodging and attacking. This goes on for  an hour. Yet none ready to back off.

Both were bleeding from various parts of their bodies. If it were anyone else, they would have died just by an Alpha's bite.

“do it”

 Soon the twins were at each other’s throat. Now they were fighting for blood. Nothing matters, but winning.

Alexander sinks his teeth in Nicholas's neck, ready to end his life.

But Nicholas was fast enough to kick Alexander in the belly and tear off the huge chunk of his belly, followed by his shoulders rendering Alexander unconscious.

Nicholas won the fight.
