Chapter 6

EDEN.

A resounding slap landed on my face, taking me to the floor. I spit a mouth full of blood. It's been hours since I was brought here based on my imagination, and I've been beaten mercilessly without being told of my offence.

A palm dragged me to the side and pressed me against the tree. They had tied my eyes, so I couldn't see…..and my limbs, so I wouldn't move on my own. I spitted out again, unknowingly to me, it touched one of them….followed by a heavy hit that made me almost lose my senses at that moment.

“This bitch spit this f*cking blood on me….” he yelled, fizzing with energy. I could tell that he would hit me again when a feminine voice made him halt his actions. “Didn't you just see what she did to me?”

“I said, enough! You can't kill her!!” came the feminine voice.

Who was that? Was she here to save me? I shook my head. No one would come near them without knowing who they are. They must be buddies but are uncomfortable with the way they hit me repeatedly.

“Untie the scarf so she would see….” the voice ordered, and immediately, the scarf was taken off my eyes.

My sight was blurry. I struggled with seeing things, so I shut my eyes again and slowly opened it again.

“Make sure to keep those eyes open and watch me—” the young lady before me ordered.

I gulped, still battling with my sight when she came closer and squatted before me. She lifted my jaw with her middle finger and giggled. “She's indeed disgusting…” she laughed again and stood up. “I wonder why he won't take his eyes off a thing like you…”

He? Who was that? Was the one sponsoring my college a man?

This time, I raised my brows to see the young lady vividly. She looked familiar—like we had met in the past, but I can't surely recall where and when. I sighed heavily and licked my lips.

“A disgusting thing like you do not deserve to attend that college. I can't even tell why he will risk seeing you through it.” she bit her lower lip. “Okay, let's forget about the f*cking man training you in college that the Alpha King is searching for….let's talk about the man that you are taking from me.”

Man? Do I know her man?

I shook my head. “If only I know you, then I can attest to knowing your man…..” My lips hurt, and speaking seemed like a big deal to me. “I have nothing to do with your so-called man—”

She hit his leg on my face, sending excruciating pain down my spine. Tears gathered in my eyes and I couldn't hold them back to roll down. I winced in pain, trying to not die here. If I should die, not in this bush. I can't fail the anonymous man who's putting me through college…..the money he spent won't be in vain.

“Asshole! You dared deny not knowing who my man is huh?” she shrieked and I nodded. I can't agree with what I know nothing about. “Then I will end you here so you won't bother him again. I can't stand seeing you around him.”

“I have no man that I can stay around. I'm all alone….so please let me go." I pleaded. I was supposed to be in school, but here I am, answering a query I didn't know. “Or, if you could tell who your man is, then I would know what to say.”

She grinned. “Wow! She finally accepted to know him.” she squatted again. “Tyrion!!!”

My eyes narrowed on hearing that name. I didn't know why, but I felt a pang of jealousy aroused in me. Tyrion is her boyfriend and she abducted me.

I looked up at her. “I know Tyrion as the Alpha Prince’s Beta, but I have nothing in common with him.”

“He was your childhood friend, so quit lying.”

I nodded. “Agreed! We were friends but not anymore. We don't even cross each other's path.” I swallowed hard. “I have never spoken to him, so please let me go. I will avoid him if he dares approach me—we have nothing in common.”

She chuckled and crossed her arms. Is this why she brought me here? To be beaten to death because of some nonchalant that betrayed me? What would I do with someone that caused me pain in the past and now? He's the reason I'm passing through all these….how will I cope to be with him?

“Today was just a warning. The next time I see you beside Tyrion or he even thinks or talks about you—I will see that you leave this earth for my peace of mind. I can't be dragging my lover with some bullshit like you.” she pointed her fingers to my face.

I nodded repeatedly. All I need is to be released so I can get back home or to school.

“No! I will be made fun of if I go to school. I have to go home and resume tomorrow." I thought while watching them.

She signaled the men to untie me and so did they. I was there alone until they all vanished into thin air, leaving me to stay in the dangerous woods.

I was so weak, and I hope not to encounter any rogue here.

I stood from the floor, wincing in pain. My body hurt and my school uniform was already stained with blood.

The little strength I had with me this morning was already taken away from me. I staggered, knowing that I wouldn't last long in the woods.

“Kiah!” I mumbled, still moving, so weak. “You can't even look for me…” tears streamed down my cheeks. “I didn't kill our parents. Tyrion caused it, yet you hated me and made friends with our enemy." I sniffled, clouded with thoughts.

The memories of that day will never leave me—they keep lingering in my mind.

“I'm now in college, and I'm sure our parents are glad that another person has fulfilled their promise to me….so I hope to graduate to make them more happy in the afterlife.”

My lips parted in a smile. It was filled with pain, but I deserved to live too.

Being demoted to an omega was enough punishment for my parents' death, so I have to be a graduate too.

I halted and looked back. I already walked a distance despite my condition. “I will be out of here soon,” I assured myself and resumed walking.

At a time, my head began hurting. It was so heavy that it felt like I was bearing a load on it. I struggled to keep my palms on my forehead, so I would feel at ease at least until I left the woods. Once I step onto the major road, I will surely get a helper.

“Ouch!!” I growled, slumping to the floor. My feet were stuck to the root of a tree. Gradually, I struggled to free myself so I wouldn't waste my strength just at a place. “My eyes!!” I didn't know when I broke into tears again. I felt so dizzy and my head was hurting so badly.

My leg was freed but I couldn't find myself resuming the walk again. I was stuck to the ground, weeping.

“Tyrion, you caused this—” I sniffled and wiped my runny nose.

It seemed I was going blind. I couldn't help myself any longer. The little strength I had in me was already consumed and there was no hope of returning home again.

Dizziness overwhelmed me. My palms reached to the floor as I tried to hold onto something.

A figure appeared before me. He was a man. He looked familiar. His scent too was one I inhaled at the resort.

“I hate you, Tyrion—” everything went blank.
