Chapter 5

TYRION.

It was 11 am, yet Eden was not yet in school. I had sent Kisey to take a tour around, secretly in search of her, but he returned with no positive response. Her fellow fresheners had already taken three classes and were on break.

I dialed the number that was registered on her cell phone but it was switched off. “He didn't power the cell phone or was it taken away from her?” I redialed it and it was still off. “She's supposed to be here if the driver picks her up.”

“Then check on the driver as well,” Kisey suggested, so I had to put the driver on call. He picked up on the third ring. “Hello, you didn't get her here? Are you okay?”

There was silence for some time before the driver spoke up. “I didn't find her when I reached there. The security had said that a cab picked her up, so I thought it was her sister's cab that picked her up as well…”

My cell phone almost slipped from my palm. Was this man insane or what? “Why then didn't you report to me? She isn't here until now—what do you have to say?'' I yelled at him and hung up the call. I hate talking to Kiah, but with this ongoing, I have no other choice.

Kisey held me back. “Don't act too rash. The Alpha Prince has sent for you earlier but I lied that you were eating. Do well to fit the lie….” he chuckled and shrugged his shoulders.

If only he knew how I felt at that moment. I went straight to the usual place the Alpha Prince has always been because I knew he would be with Kiah there. Just like I guessed, they were all together there, including their friends.

I was the only one apart, even as the Prince's right-hand man.

“Your Highness!!!!” I bowed to him and got seated. “I learned that you sent for me. I was eating at the cafeteria….”

He winked. “You left your Alpha to eat alone?”

I grinned. “We can still eat again if you wish…'' I tapped Kiah. “Something is missing in the school, don't you think so?”

She rolled her eyes. “What's that?”

“Your sister! I was waiting to see the scene that would take place because she got admitted here…” Kisey chipped in.

Hearing that, Kiah laughed harder. She loves it when it comes to talking trash about her sister and I won't blame her for that. I was the one at fault and I'm sure she will hate me most if she finds out.

She gestured. “I'm not sure if she can survive here, that might be the reason she isn't here. I will see her when I get back home,” she uttered and crossed her legs, that has been her best seating position.

I locked eyes with Kisey and he nodded. “But she isn't at home either. Aren't you bothered that she must have missed the way here?”

“Then the one who gave her the scholarship should search for her. I can't let her curse take me to my early grave.” Kiah snapped at him and frowned.

I swallowed hard. My heart sank into my belly. Where would she be? I locked eyes with Kisey and he left immediately. I had told him to track her wristwatch and then hack into the cameras in their compound since Kiah couldn't help.

Even after Kisey left, I still felt uncomfortable, so I stood.

“Leaving again? You can't be doing this and still be my Beta, you know?” Prince Geralt snapped at me and I grinned. “Just get seated!”

I shook my head. “You wouldn't want your Beta to be embarrassed, will you? I have to use the restroom.'' I winked at him and headed out, going towards the restroom and then I left through the route there. I mind-linked Kisey to find out where he was. “Forward the footage to me immediately,'' I ordered him after he explained that the driver that picked up Eden was a stranger.

Then it means she was abducted, but who would do that?

“Ava!!!” that name struck my name. Does she have any business with Eden? She isn't aware of what transpired between me and Eden in the past right? I halted to check the footage Kisey forwarded to me. The driver was indeed suspicious, and the car was the same as the one I hired for Eden.

I turn on my tracker. “I will be tracking her from my end, you have to do so too….” I said to Kisey via mind link. When I'm done, I will have to make up a story to tell the Prince, because I'm sure not even my parents would take my side at this point, and I wouldn't want to lose my means of earning now.

Being the Prince's right-hand man is the highest-paying job for me now. Until I graduate as a lawyer, I will have to make use of the salary wisely, because lots of young guys like me wish to have that position because of the salary.

I entered my car and turned on the tracker as well. With it, I was able to locate the signal where Eden was, but it was too far from where I was and dangerous as well. I dialed Kisey’s line. “Put me on the track there so I will be safe. Alert the cops if I'm unable to be reached.'' I said to him and then hung up.

It will take me about an hour to reach that location. But who must have taken her there and for what reason? The Alpha King can't do that because he couldn't get the anonymous person right? Whoever did this is aware of my plans.

The moment I entered the track road that was f*cking quiet, my cell phone beeped and it was Ava. I opened the message to go through it.

“Your mother has been hospitalized. She was said to have lost consciousness in the palace.”

Reading it, I hit the car brake forcefully. Why would she pass out just like that? Is that an omen or what?

“Your father is there…” my wolf interrupted my thoughts, but then, Ava called. I picked up the call. “How about my father?” That was the first question I asked.

“I'm yet to see him…you have to rush over immediately.” She hung up the call.

No way! Mother can't pass out when Eden is abducted. Something seems to be off.
