Chapter 4

EDEN.

Standing beside the mat, I stared at the school materials that were brought to me two days ago. It's been three weeks since I graduated from high school, and today was my first day in college. I feel so ashamed despite how I longed to be in college. Each time I recall that I would be bullied there, I tend to change my mind.

I won't! The anonymous person who wouldn't even let the Alpha King sort him out did enough, so I won't let the risk he or she took be in vain. I picked up my clothes and had them on. “It's my size. How did the person know the type of clothes I prefer to put on?” I giggled.

Ready to leave, I stepped out of my room to see a cab waiting at the compound. The whole place was quiet, which meant that Kiah had left for school already. I walked close to the cab and peeped, a driver was seated in it.

I waved my hand. “Hi!” the door glass went down. “Who are you here for? Kiah already left….”

“It's you! I was paid to always pick you up before and after school.”

I chuckled. This man must be mistaking me for Kiah. The Alpha Prince is the only one that would do that for Kiah, so I'm sure he's wrong. But I don't have the same appearance as Kiah, although our face looks almost the same, but even at that, he shouldn't mistake us.

“Kiah just left, you can pick her up after school instead for today,” I said and hurried to the gate, leaving the compound. But he drove past me and obstructed my way. Is he insane or what? Didn't he hear me well? This is my first day at school and I shouldn't be late.

I walked to the car and lowered my head. “Go after her at school and stop being a thorn in my flesh. Don't you get it?”

He alighted from the car and came to the other side, opened the door, and demonstrated that I hopped in. “I am your driver…”

My brows furrowed as I stared at him. He brought out his ID and showed me. “Who hired you then?”

He shrugged his shoulders. “Just like you don't know who's putting you through school, so is my nature of work right now.”

I heaved a big sigh of relief, finally believing that I was safe and he was here for me and not Kiah, so I stepped into the car and he shut it. I watched through his window as a car passed by too, it was the same as the one I was in. I watched through the side mirror and the car drove into the compound.

The door was locked.

“I need to check something. That car, I have to know what it's doing there….” I said to the driver, but he whined up the glass and didn't say anything to me. “Didn't you hear me? I have to check….”

“There's a security man there, so no need. You're late to school, and I will take the blame.” he drove off.

Minutes turned to an hour yet we were not in the college. It isn't this far, I know the distance. I was feeling uncomfortable already because of that, and the driver wasn't saying a single word, even if it was just a chat.

The fact that I couldn't unlock the door unless he did was the most dangerous.

“We should be there by now. I can direct you if you missed the road.'' I tried to end the silence between us but he still didn't utter a word. I tried to break the glass but it was too hard for my hand. “Did you abduct me?”

He shook his head. “I didn't!!!”

“Then at least unlock the door….”

He glanced at me. “It's of no use when the air conditioner is on.”

Was that an excuse? The road isn't even familiar. There were bushes around every corner. Wasn't it the same school Kiah is attending? Why is the road different?

I left the new cell phone that came with the school materials at home. I felt it was of no use since I had no one to call. Now I'm stranded, not sure where this man was taking me to.

One time, he stopped the car and unlocked the door.

“What are you doing? Is this the school? I can't alight here—just take me back home." I shrieked at him, but he seemed to be deaf to my cries. Tears already gathered in my eyes. How will I fall into such a disaster on my first day at school?

I didn't want to get down, but the driver opened the door ajar himself and dragged me down from the car. He must know that I can't run if necessary because of my size, but what was he up to?

As I lifted my face, my eyes landed on two masked men who were standing beside the driver. One at the right signaled the other who rushed towards me and dragged me up, causing a scream to escape my throat.

“Let go of me! I am not even worthy to be abducted…..” I screeched, struggling to get away from his grip, but it was so tight that I would be hurt if I tried harder.

The driver watched as they dragged me with them into the bush. “You're so heartless. I bet you're not the driver. You will pay for this…” I cursed the driver while the men dragged me by themselves as we moved deeper into the bush.

I got fed up with everything. My wolf was in distress. I had tried to mind link Kiah, at least, she was still my sister but she didn't respond to me. There was no other person I knew would hurry to my aid at this point, and I'm not sure what this man had in package for me.

As tears welled up my eyes and streamed down my face, I let my wolf take over me. My fangs pierced out and then I dug it into the hand gripping me by the right…..but then, a heavy hit landed on my head, making me feel dizzy, and then everything went blank.
