EDEN.
Standing beside the mat, I stared at the school materials that were brought to me two days ago. It's been three weeks since I graduated from high school, and today was my first day in college. I feel so ashamed despite how I longed to be in college. Each time I recall that I would be bullied there, I tend to change my mind. I won't! The anonymous person who wouldn't even let the Alpha King sort him out did enough, so I won't let the risk he or she took be in vain. I picked up my clothes and had them on. “It's my size. How did the person know the type of clothes I prefer to put on?” I giggled. Ready to leave, I stepped out of my room to see a cab waiting at the compound. The whole place was quiet, which meant that Kiah had left for school already. I walked close to the cab and peeped, a driver was seated in it. I waved my hand. “Hi!” the door glass went down. “Who are you here for? Kiah already left….” “It's you! I was paid to always pick you up before and after school.” I chuckled. This man must be mistaking me for Kiah. The Alpha Prince is the only one that would do that for Kiah, so I'm sure he's wrong. But I don't have the same appearance as Kiah, although our face looks almost the same, but even at that, he shouldn't mistake us. “Kiah just left, you can pick her up after school instead for today,” I said and hurried to the gate, leaving the compound. But he drove past me and obstructed my way. Is he insane or what? Didn't he hear me well? This is my first day at school and I shouldn't be late. I walked to the car and lowered my head. “Go after her at school and stop being a thorn in my flesh. Don't you get it?” He alighted from the car and came to the other side, opened the door, and demonstrated that I hopped in. “I am your driver…” My brows furrowed as I stared at him. He brought out his ID and showed me. “Who hired you then?” He shrugged his shoulders. “Just like you don't know who's putting you through school, so is my nature of work right now.” I heaved a big sigh of relief, finally believing that I was safe and he was here for me and not Kiah, so I stepped into the car and he shut it. I watched through his window as a car passed by too, it was the same as the one I was in. I watched through the side mirror and the car drove into the compound. The door was locked. “I need to check something. That car, I have to know what it's doing there….” I said to the driver, but he whined up the glass and didn't say anything to me. “Didn't you hear me? I have to check….” “There's a security man there, so no need. You're late to school, and I will take the blame.” he drove off. Minutes turned to an hour yet we were not in the college. It isn't this far, I know the distance. I was feeling uncomfortable already because of that, and the driver wasn't saying a single word, even if it was just a chat. The fact that I couldn't unlock the door unless he did was the most dangerous. “We should be there by now. I can direct you if you missed the road.'' I tried to end the silence between us but he still didn't utter a word. I tried to break the glass but it was too hard for my hand. “Did you abduct me?” He shook his head. “I didn't!!!” “Then at least unlock the door….” He glanced at me. “It's of no use when the air conditioner is on.” Was that an excuse? The road isn't even familiar. There were bushes around every corner. Wasn't it the same school Kiah is attending? Why is the road different? I left the new cell phone that came with the school materials at home. I felt it was of no use since I had no one to call. Now I'm stranded, not sure where this man was taking me to. One time, he stopped the car and unlocked the door. “What are you doing? Is this the school? I can't alight here—just take me back home." I shrieked at him, but he seemed to be deaf to my cries. Tears already gathered in my eyes. How will I fall into such a disaster on my first day at school? I didn't want to get down, but the driver opened the door ajar himself and dragged me down from the car. He must know that I can't run if necessary because of my size, but what was he up to? As I lifted my face, my eyes landed on two masked men who were standing beside the driver. One at the right signaled the other who rushed towards me and dragged me up, causing a scream to escape my throat. “Let go of me! I am not even worthy to be abducted…..” I screeched, struggling to get away from his grip, but it was so tight that I would be hurt if I tried harder. The driver watched as they dragged me with them into the bush. “You're so heartless. I bet you're not the driver. You will pay for this…” I cursed the driver while the men dragged me by themselves as we moved deeper into the bush. I got fed up with everything. My wolf was in distress. I had tried to mind link Kiah, at least, she was still my sister but she didn't respond to me. There was no other person I knew would hurry to my aid at this point, and I'm not sure what this man had in package for me. As tears welled up my eyes and streamed down my face, I let my wolf take over me. My fangs pierced out and then I dug it into the hand gripping me by the right…..but then, a heavy hit landed on my head, making me feel dizzy, and then everything went blank.TYRION.It was 11 am, yet Eden was not yet in school. I had sent Kisey to take a tour around, secretly in search of her, but he returned with no positive response. Her fellow fresheners had already taken three classes and were on break.I dialed the number that was registered on her cell phone but it was switched off. “He didn't power the cell phone or was it taken away from her?” I redialed it and it was still off. “She's supposed to be here if the driver picks her up.”“Then check on the driver as well,” Kisey suggested, so I had to put the driver on call. He picked up on the third ring. “Hello, you didn't get her here? Are you okay?”There was silence for some time before the driver spoke up. “I didn't find her when I reached there. The security had said that a cab picked her up, so I thought it was her sister's cab that picked her up as well…”My cell phone almost slipped from my palm. Was this man insane or what? “Why then didn't you report to me? She isn't here until now—what do
EDEN.A resounding slap landed on my face, taking me to the floor. I spit a mouth full of blood. It's been hours since I was brought here based on my imagination, and I've been beaten mercilessly without being told of my offence.A palm dragged me to the side and pressed me against the tree. They had tied my eyes, so I couldn't see…..and my limbs, so I wouldn't move on my own. I spitted out again, unknowingly to me, it touched one of them….followed by a heavy hit that made me almost lose my senses at that moment.“This bitch spit this f*cking blood on me….” he yelled, fizzing with energy. I could tell that he would hit me again when a feminine voice made him halt his actions. “Didn't you just see what she did to me?”“I said, enough! You can't kill her!!” came the feminine voice.Who was that? Was she here to save me? I shook my head. No one would come near them without knowing who they are. They must be buddies but are uncomfortable with the way they hit me repeatedly.“Untie the sca
EDEN.A yawn drew my lips apart. My eyes slowly opened and the first thing I saw was a white ceiling. “I was in the woods—” I closed my eyes again, then opened it after a few seconds. “How did I get here?” I sprang up from the bed.I clutched my chest with both hands, my jaw gaping. “Someone brought me here….” I began examining my body and there was no wound on my skin again. Even my broken lips were healed. “My wolf isn't this active. Who must have healed me?”The sound of the door made me turn to the door, causing me to reflect on something. Before I passed out, I was sure to have seen a masculine figure, but I didn't get to know who that was. Was he the one who brought me here? I didn't develop wings suddenly, right?A nurse walked in and halted her steps along the way. She seemed unable to contain her excitement that she dropped the tray of medications she was holding and hurried to me.“How… how….” I couldn't find the words to say any longer. She held my hands, taking a good look
TYRION.I rode my car into our compound and parked at the garage. My arms rested on the steering wheel while my head leaned on it. At least, Eden was fine, and it's a relief too that she didn't get to see me.No matter how much she detested me, hiding in a shadow while protecting her would be the best thing to do. I wouldn't want her to know that I've been the one doing all this, or she might reject it all. I have to see that she achieves her aim and lives her life without regrets—then I will also get rid of the guilt in me.I felt a liquid on the side of my lip and touched it with my finger. “Her blood!” I smiled and wiped it off. “She is my mate…..” That was the interesting part, but will I handle it? Can I control the mate bond so it won't be exposed that we are mates? If it gets out that we are mates, my parents will force me to reject her—and I don't wish to.I pulled out the car key and alighted from the car. Until I gather enough might to oppose my parents and point my finger i
EDEN.I stood at the school gate, gazing while the other students walked into the compound. They all glared at me and teased me, but I was ignorant of whatever they had in store. This college isn't made for Omegas in the Packs. Only the Alphas and Betas are admitted into the school, but here I am, standing before the school gate and pondering on why and how I became a student of such a school.‘I'm a Beta, Eden. Don't think of me as an Omega.’ my wolf interrupted my thoughts. ‘We should be in class now…’ she added and I nodded, taking slow steps towards the school gate. There are schools made for just the Gammas and Deltas. Most Omegas don't study further after high school. Some are not privileged to go through high school but I did even after I was demoted. Maybe I was given that grace since my deceased father was the Chief Beta of the Pack. The moment I stepped into the school compound, I felt goosebumps all over my body. I could see my fellow women turning me into a laughingstock.
TYRION.I sat before Kisey at the cafeteria. We had ordered a meal which will soon be served to us. Envisioning how Eden was molested and bullied by her sister just a few minutes ago still haunted me.If only I could help her and things wouldn't get out of my control—I wouldn't hesitate to bring an end to all these. The moment I step out to stand by her now, both of us will suffer it and that's not what I wish. The sound of the plates served on the table before me pulled me out of my thoughts. I raised my head to look at the waitress. “Did you send it over?” I asked him and he nodded. “Don't forget our code….”He grinned and left, then I picked up the chopping stick.“Are you sure he didn't find you in the restroom?” Kisey inquired. He had seen me hurry out of there when I noticed that Eden was searching for me with my scent. “She knows that whoever it is that saved her from the woods is her mate, and she must find him.”I licked my lips, nothing was interesting in this world when you
EDEN.The door was shut behind me. I slammed my palm on it repeatedly but no one responded. “She told me to put on my school uniform as a freshener but everyone is having their most expensive clothes on.” I rubbed my nose, staring at the door. She must think that being engaged to Tyrion is an achievement, and attending her engagement eve is so crucial. Now that I was embarrassed and thrown out, she will love it that way, when she was the one who insisted that I would come.I turned to take my leave since there was nothing else I could do. There's no cloth at home that would suit the ceremony so it would be of no use changing up and returning here again.I boarded a cab that would take me home. I can't waste the little strength I have while trekking. When the car stopped before the gate, I pulled out the chain on my neck which came with my school properties, and handed it to the driver. “It will cost more than the money. Just take it since I don't have any money to pay you.” I explaine
EDEN.The other students surrounded us. It was horrifying what was going on. I felt so ashamed of myself, watching the guy who just came in, claiming that we had been dating.I've never met him once. I couldn't tell what was going on just like the others looked perplexed. The Alpha Prince arched his brows and walked closer to the young man. As he lifted his hand, it was held to the air, causing the students to murmur within them. What sort of embarrassment was that? Who is this that would add more salt to my wound and leave after the party ended? I stood, taking a good look at the young man. He looked charming and good enough to stand as my boyfriend, but with who I am, I guessed he was mistaken. He can't take my side, claiming that we've been dating when we've never met before only for him to cause me more trouble and leave. Only if he will stay back after all this drama will I go along with this. “Let go!” the Alpha Prince grabbed him by the collar with his other hand. “Do you kno
