Chapter 31: His pole again

Ivorie yelped with a start. She instantly fell backward into the water but she was lucky not to hit herself.

“What are you doing here?” She asked loudly. Her arms were wrapped in front of her chest even though she was already in water, while her handmaid quickly turned her back to them.

A sly smirk played on Regan's lips. “I have come to take a shower.” He simply said.

“Then why did you not announce your presence so I can wait for you to finish?” Ivorie asked, trying not to allow the water to push her towards him. Her heart was beating fast in her chest.

“Why should I?” Regan asked.

“Because…. because we can't share a bathtub together!” Ivorie almost screamed. This husband of hers was the most frustrating man she had ever encountered.

“Why not? Aren't we man and wife?” He asked, leaning forward. Ivorie moved back cautiously.

“I don't want to share a bath with you, just like I didn't want to share a bed last night.” She argued, still paddling backwards with all her might.

“Is that so?”
