Chapter 32: Argument

“Open the cell.” Ivorie ordered the guard that was stationed outside Jenna's cell. She had asked the previous guards the location of this cell.

Another guard entered the cell and soon came out with Jenna. Ivorie almost winced at her appearance.

Her whole body was bruised with dirt and her once beautiful and elegant dress was now tattered like that of a beggar. She had a look of contempt on her face.

Ivorie sighed, she couldn't blame her. She was innocent and Regan just had to punish her to satisfy his belligerent self.

“Duchess…” Ivorie began but was interrupted.

“Thank you, Luna, for getting me out. I think I should take my leave now.” Jenna said in a low voice.

She didn't wait for any other word from Ivorie as she limped away. Ivorie released a deep breath as she watched her leave.
