Chapter 28

"Is he improving?" Sophie asked Alpha Jones as he came back into the room.

"He is impressive" he replied with a smile. "Do you miss me?" he walked over to join her on the bed.

"You are around,aren't you?" she stared into his eyes.

Alpha Jones reached for her hand and fondled it. They both breathed heavily as they were building momentum.

Sophie rose up to climb over him.

There was a series of sudden heavy knocks hitting the door violently.

"Who is that?" Alpha Jones excused her and opened the door.

The Mage tumbled in breathing heavily. He bent with his hand on his knees.

"What's wrong with you?" Alpha Jones stood aloof from him. "Are you okay?" he asked again.

"We are not okay. There is fire on the mountain. We need to be vigilant" the Mage said incoherently.

"That doesn't sound like what should make you bang on my door like that" Alpha Jones complained.

"Don't you notice that Scott has changed from what he used to be?" he let out.

"If this is about Scott. I won't give you audience"
