Chapter 35 – Casualty
It’s her first time witnessing such chaos. She was rattled, not knowing where to go and what to do. Everything was dizzying. There’s just so much movement and so much noise, she couldn’t focus.
Luna yelped as something large pounced on her and she was pushed to the ground. Her wolves were also caught off guard. Where did this creature come from? One moment, there was nothing and then he was suddenly there. The silver wolves fought the enemy. It took her a moment to identify. Such form and behavior, it was clearly a lycan. The growl was disturbing and his appearance was scary. They tried to become stronger than werewolves and ended up becoming monsters. Well, not all of them. The thought came to her but it was fleeting.
Damn. Why did she remove her knife? Well, it was uncomfortable to sleep it and she seriously thought she would have the time to pick it up if anything happened. Now, she forgot. She was practically defenseless and reliant on her wolves.
