Chapter 4

Bella went outside of the kitchen to see, there was only one couple present, so other than the whole shop, it looked deserted, and the waiters were just cleaning the table.

So Bella called one of the waiters and ordered him to close the shop and go to the fair after that couple went out.

After that, she and her two friends went to their house, they all dressed up in everyday wear they usually do.

They didn’t dress up, especially just a pair of jeans and a top and some flips, with some gloss on the lips; they are all ready to go.

Mia has much tension because on this day she has to go, but at the same time, she doesn't want to go and makes her friends sad.

Today, she is determined that she will not disappear even if she has to go against nature, at least not today.

She is already feeling uncomfortable, but she is just trying to ignore her unease and trying to cheer herself up.

After that, they all went in a tiny car they bought after they all settled in the house two years back with the money they earned from their shop.

Bella was in the driver’s seat, Mia was sitting in the front seat, and Olivia was sitting behind.

They have been staying together for two years,

In these two years they hardly ever went out of the town alone, whenever they went out, they always were together shopping or doing some work.

So, in the town, everyone knows that three girls stay alone here for two years and even have their dessert shop where everyone will go at least once a day.

These three girls are like the family of everyone in the whole town.

Every older person in the town treats these girls as their granddaughters.

Maybe because of this reason, these three girls never thought of leaving this place,

When they were all seated in the car, Olivia suddenly opened her mouth,

“This place is like heaven for me. I am a free bird here without any pressure or dictation from another person. Coming here starts to feel that I am also human, and I also have my thinking, sigh, life is really strange.”

Her words are sudden,

It caused the happy atmosphere to change subtly,

As everyone’s eyes changed into the color,

Once they all are laughing and joking, suddenly their eyes hold only seriousness; other than that, there is also wariness for a strange thing.

So Mia, after clearing her throat, answered whale stammering,

“Wh.. why would that happen? Didn’t we promise that we will all stay here forever and not fall in love, will not marry, and will not have our child? We all will spend our old age here with lots of cats.”

Even though Mia tried to make her voice steady, she hardly believed herself.

They all know that they are fortunate to live in life how they want these two years they have lived here.

Seeing the situation becoming even more awkward than before, Bella added blunt sentences and truth and also eased the case in the car,

“Why are you guys thinking about this now? We will see when that happens, enjoy the time we have here,

Come on girls; we are going to fair, even though it’s not like pub and party; still, this is much more fun than those things, now we should enjoy the moment we have, leave the fear of what is coming in the future, and enjoy our time after all this will be the first time after many days that we three going out.”

Even though Bella’s words didn’t have the promise that things will be identical in the future, at least the situation turned into happiness,

“Yes, why do we think about this? Mia? You are a party pooper see, because of your words I almost have the heart attack, wait for me to clean you up when we get back to home” Olivia started to pick on Mia,

And Mia isn’t some soft girl, and she is also hard-headed,

“What!! Me!!! Olivia, the first one to open her mouth and talk about the so-called future is you, and now you are making me wear the pot, see if I don't fight with you, you are slandering me.”

Mia also exploded; her voice is also loud.

Bella become the middle- man again here,

“Okay, guys, we are now on the forest road, so shuuuu.”

All of them turned silent,

They all have a rugged look, maybe Mia is the one whose face has the awful expression, as both Bella and Olivia only have serious and alert expressions, but Mia is looking a little bit off the tune.

She is stiff, and also both her hands are held in a tight fist; both Bella and Olivia are busy looking around the forest as they are all three girls who are passing through this forest.

They are taking the route which is on the edge of the forest,

Many people see many animals, and many hardly chose this path.

After all, there are wild animals.

So there are many animals, and at night they wander even more than the day,

Many people wouldn’t choose this path, especially at night, as there is another route to reach the city called Penshaw from Wealdstone, which is in the forest’s outer range.

But today these three friends are late, so they choose this path, after all, they are going to the fair to enjoy, and if they choose another route which will take almost an hour to reach Penshaw, they choose this forest path which only takes not more than half an hour.

These three girls have heard many stories about this forest and the animals which are here, in them, especially wolves.

More severe than any tiger or lion, many people have seen their own eyes where those wolves killed the people.

That’s why this forest ‘Land Of No Return’ is also called ‘wolves hill.’

Suddenly, Olivia asked.

“Bella, this is the first time we are following this route at night. Do you think maybe we will be food for the wild animals here in the forest?”

When Bella heard this, she only glanced at Olivia, which meant for Olivia to shut up.

Seeing that Olivia did shut her mouth, but then she started to make movements on Mia, which made Mia even more irritated.

Because as she reaches the forest, she started to feel edgy,

Even though she is controlling herself, something inside her is very much making her irritated

It is making her out of control, and above that, Olivia’s small movements are making her even angry.

“Olivia, stop” Mia gritted her teeth.

“Hey, Mia, why are you so silent? As we reached the forest, you became silent; what’s the reason, huh?” Olivia asked with a teasing smile.

But in return, she got a deathly glare,

Seeing that both Bella and Olivia are taken aback, after all, they have never seen Mia like this because Mia has always been the easy-going and happy-go, lucky girl. Still, now both can see something changed in Mia; she is different.

Her aura, her behavior, and even her personality changed,

But what made Olivia feel fear was Mia’s eyes, where she felt Mia's eyes changing color from her natural and normal black color to red.

Olivia felt she had an illusion. Still, this scared the hell out of her.

Mia can feel that she is slowly changing, so she suddenly opened the car door, still moving, and ran directly to the forest.

Both Bella and Olivia were late by second to react as their mind was processing all the activities, which shocked them in a prolonged process.

When they were back to their senses, they both didn’t wait for a second, as both descended from the car and started to shout at Mia, whose back they could hardly see.

But Olivia was still thinking about Mia's eyes, which are changing color; she is afraid of talking about this to Bella because she also doesn't know will Bella believe it or not?

As she was still thinking, she suddenly heard howling, making both Bella and Olivia look at each other.

They both didn’t know what to do.

Should they go in and wait for Mia?

Or should they go and search for Mia?

They both are unsure because both know that whenever Mia disappeared, she would directly come home, so they have to take the route of the forest.

Mia always disappeared at the fair and will again appear at home.

“Via [short for Olivia], what do you think we should do? Should we go and find Mia? I don’t know what happened to this girl. And I also heard the howling, and that may be wolves, what should we do?”

Bella was also tense, and her mind was blank.

She couldn’t think any way at present; she felt little of any idea.
