Kaden Point Of View

Blood!

It's coming. I can feel death creep in the air like a patient predator, watching it's prey. Something deadly was coming soon, I could feel it. The earth would finally quench it's insatiable hunger for blood. The time is fast approaching, we needed to move faster than our enemies.

I can feel the Hunter's moon, it's energy is powerful, unlike any before. I know the Hunter's moon is close because of the shadows of the unseen and the whispers in the trees. This wasn't a good omen, it was a warning!

"Brother," I greet Kole.

He was outside, looking around like he had just lost something, his face even more pale than usual upon seeing me.

"How is Ava?" I ask only curious about how she was today. She was the only thing that I could think about all day when I was out searching for Sebastian. My wolf and I have grown an insatiable addiction to breathing the air that surrounds her. I wished I could spend much time with her, but I couldn't, not until I took care of Seba

Ava's Point Of ViewI am in a dimly lighted hall, seated right across Sebastian. After he told me his dastardly plan and compelled me to sleep, I was taken to his castle.I watch as he takes a bite from his meal with a smile on his lips. How could he manage to smile with all the chaos he was causing? The golden dagger was before him on the table, this was the weapon that could kill Kaden and the Primordials, and if Kaden dies, so will the entire Midnight pack. I hope Kaden gets my letter and realize that he shouldn't come after me. He can't fall into this trap set by Sebastian. It would be much better if he chooses not to come to save me, although the thought of that happening hurts but it was what was better for the pack. If I could give up my life to save my pack, I would. Even though I was the only way to escape their curse, Krys could find another way to save the pack. It would be for everyone best interest if he doesn't try to save me."You and I both know there isn't a chance of

Ava's point of viewI stepped out of the castle into the morning sunrise, its warmth seeping into my body. I was with Josie, waiting for Kole before joining the others at the stable. Kole joined us soon enough, and the three of us gaited to the stables. It has only been four days since my whole kidnap by Sebastian and his threat for war. Everything in the pack was back to normal, well not completely everything. Some things had undeniably changed. Many of the pack members were already on their horses. Today was a special day, in honor of the hunting moon fast approaching the pack decided to host a hunt in the woods. My eyes scanned around and it fell on Kaden. He was as usual with Cassandra, helping her mount on her horse. They have gotten quite close these past few days, I knew he was just using her to hurt me. I wanted to look away before he caught me staring, but instantly, his perfect emerald eyes met mine.Quickly, I looked away. Honestly, I've been avoiding him these past few d

Ava's point of viewThis is bad. This is really bad.Kaden's angry eyes were on me, showing nothing but hate and utter disbelief.I watched in confusion and horror as Adrien approached Kaden with the crossbow and arrow.Kaden's unfeeling eyes were on me again, after he inspected the arrow with the one in his hands."It's poisoned," he said, with hooded eyes. I gasp. Whoever that man was intended to poison Kaden."And those don't belong to me. It belongs to someone else. A man. He had his face covered, so I couldn't see his face properly. I walked in on him while he was shooting this—" I dragged on, my heartbeat skyrocketing when I noticed the incredulous look everyone seemed to be throwing my way. They couldn't possibly think I would really try to murder Kaden, right? I mean, with that bitch Cassandra, maybe, that might have been a possibility, but with Kaden, I would never.I loved him."Even though I couldn't see the face of whoever shot that, he had the midnight moon mark on his wr

  • Alpha Kaden: THE PRIMORDIAL HYBRID    Death

Ava's point of viewIt was past midnight and I was alone in my chamber, crippling to the floor. I tried falling asleep after Josie and Tasha left but I just couldn't. I can't just sleep knowing there is a traitor within the pack trying to set me up.Whoever it was, I needed to figure out who it was. Fast! Before I am persecuted for their crimes. That was when the door suddenly clicked open, I lifted my head up to find Kole at the door. The tears that I had imprisoned rushed out forcefully, before I could stop myself, I was up on my feet racing to him.Instantly falling into his arms.Kole engulfed me, his hands holding me firmly, as more tears escaped my eyes. When I got much control of my emotions, my blue eyes pulled to meet him."I really didn't do it" I counted my words, hoping someone at least believes me.Kole remained silent, his silence shattering my heart. He was the only one I had hope in.Quietly, he led me to my bed. I was seated and Kole crouched before me. His bright haz

Kaden's point of viewI just couldn't sit still. Ace was lashing within me, wanting to be set free, wanting to be with our mate. But I just couldn't let it go. Now is the worst time for that. The pain in my chest kept on intensifying. I groaned in frustration, thrashing everything that stood on my table. My mind couldn't take any of this. My rough hands were tugging at my hair tightly as I shut my eyes tightly. Everything is a complete mess right now. Every second of those last hours played over and over again in my head. And I felt a constant pain in my chest. Ava was in serious trouble. Why on earth did it have to be her?The same question that had lingered in my thoughts echoed again.I would be lying if I said I didn't believe her.Hell, I believed everything she would tell me and I trusted her with my own life. But the court and the pack couldn't. Somehow they thought only the worst of her, and being the only one not linked to my pack and my curse she was an easy suspect. Ava cou

  • Alpha Kaden: THE PRIMORDIAL HYBRID    Innocence

Ava's point of viewI have been in my chamber for a day now. Tasha and Josie kept updating me on everything that was happening in the court. So far, no decision has been made. That was good to know, but so far there's been no way of proving my innocence. No way at all. And as the seconds ticked by, I couldn't help getting nervous. There was a quick knock on the door, I sent my eyes up and Josie stepped in. She held an uneasy look on her face, which only scared me more. "It's time." She said, and I pulled up from the bed, flattening my dress. "Everyone has gathered at the court already."I took in sharp breaths. I have been called upon by the Pack's court for my trial. Josie told me that Kaden had insisted on it. For someone who didn't believe me, I was still grateful to him. It gave us some time to find the person who is really behind the assassination.I followed Josie out of my room to the castle court. It was full with every ranking wolf in the Midnight Pack present, every one of

  • Alpha Kaden: THE PRIMORDIAL HYBRID    The final hearing

Kaden's point of viewIt was already way past noon. The sun had dominated the sky already. I was seated in the large castle hall, and to my left was Cassandra, and to my right were Adrien and Lorenzo, my most trusted friends. I watched as the last ranked pack member of the court strode into the hall while more warriors gaited in in large numbers. They all had confused and questioning gazes fixed on me.As we had planned, I ordered all ranked members of the pack and every warrior in my pack, including those who were in training, to appear in the hall. Today, Ava will be judged and punished by myself and the Pack's court. Hopefully, things won't go that far though, and she will instead be free of all accusations. Kole has a plan to expose whosoever shot that arrow that threatened Cassandra's life and mine, and with the help of the blood found on Ava's dagger, we will find the culprit today. The large hall was cramped with everyone. I looked around and it seemed like everyone had gathere

Kaden's Point Of View I dismissed the court and everyone else that was present in the hall, ensuring the accusation against Ava had been cleared. It was important that everyone knew she was innocent.I watched her fade back as she was led back to her chamber by Josie. I was now alone after seeing Cassandra to her chamber, and I was heading towards the dungeon when Krys approached me.Her purple gaze held my green orbs and before I could say something first she ran into my arms, her face buried into my chest.I freeze, not expecting this. I thought she would at least be mad at me for boxing and daggering her, but she wasn't. I let my hands wrap around her for a while before pulling her away from me.“Krys–” I began but I was stopped.“I'm not angry at you brother.” she said first. “I understand why you did it. I don't hate you for it. I know you did it because you care deeply about her.”I pause at hearing her last words. But it was true, I only boxed her because I was angry and scare

Krystabelle’s Point Of ViewI was forced to step out of the pack's castle and keep watch over the pack with Kaden gone. My conversation with Ava a few hours ago left me completely worried, especially about her dreams, and that worried me more. I knew that had to be an ominous message from mother, she sent it to Ava dreams and she was expecting us to avert whatever chaos was impending.I was even more uneasy with the sudden reappearance of my brother, Kaiser. That bastard was as conniving and treacherous as they got. I didn't just believe his excuse that he came just because he was in the area and he missed home, there had to be something much more that drove him here. I know my older brother so well and I am willing to bet that he was running away, or maybe hiding from something. Whatever it truly was, I knew it couldn't be good.Kole had ordered the pack to be at alert, so everyone was on their toes, and they had the right to be, the Hunter moon was in just four days. Ava's Point Of View It was late at night, and my restlessness led me to the moon goddess's abandoned temple east of the pack. Kaden has been gone all day and this made me all the more uneasy. Was meeting with Nadia supposed to take this long? He should be back home, right? Did something untoward happen to him?‘Relax Ava, you are worrying for no reason again.’ I heard my wolf, Lisa, weigh in.Maybe she was right, and I was just overthinking the entire thing, but I couldn't shake off the bad feeling in the pit of my guts, telling me that chaos and death were inevitable.I guess that's why I found myself here at the moon goddess temple. I needed to find her Oracle, Mene. I met her a long time ago in this temple when I was locked here. I tried looking for her again, but she was gone; I needed to see her now. If there was anyone who could tell me how to escape the disaster ahead, it would be the moon goddess oracle.I walked around the temple for minutes with zero luck in finding Mene, b

  • Alpha Kaden: THE PRIMORDIAL HYBRID    The sixth Delacourt

Ava's Point Of View I walk into Kaden's office, to find a very intense stare off starring Kaden and a complete stranger. That was Kaiser, Kaden's half brother and if I reckon correctly the sixth Delacourt. Beside them, trying to stop them from ripping each other out with their eyes was Kole.“Hello brother.” Kaiser spoke with a cynical smile on his distinct features. He didn't look or share any resemblance with Kaden at all. He had light brown hair that framed perfectly around his head, and had a pair of electric blue eyes, with a well chiseled jawline. He looked a lot like a young Leonardo DiCaprio, before he grew old and fell off.He was tall, but not as tall as Kaden was, but talk enough to stand looking him in the eyes.“What the bloody hell are you doing in my pack, Kai?” Kaden gritted through his teeth, clearly not in the mood to waste any time.“Well that's no way to welcome back your little baby brother.” Kaiser chuckled, placing a finger on his lips. “When was the last time

  • Alpha Kaden: THE PRIMORDIAL HYBRID    The whispers of death

Ava's Point Of View I heard a shrill cry erupt in the thick darkness that covered me. I couldn't see anything around, just pure and complete darkness covering and swallowing everything around.Again, I hear another sharp cry erupt in the darkness from above me. I couldn't see anything, all I could do now was depend on my senses to figure out what was going on around me.I closed my eyes, paying attention to my surroundings. Taking in every breath, every sound, every wind and the direction in which they moved. The shrill cry erupted again, this time causing my ears to bleed out. That's it! I knew what the sound was, it belonged to a vulture. That was the sound it makes just before it is ready to feast on the dead carcass of a fallen predator. But why? Why was this sound all I could hear? What did all this mean?“Ava–” I heard a familiar female voice call out to me. My ocean eyes fastened open and they drowned at the sight before them.It was Kaden. He had a golden dagger buried deep

  • Alpha Kaden: THE PRIMORDIAL HYBRID    The Forgotten and the things we lost

Ava's Point Of View Kaden and I stepped into the abyss. Slowly the abyss that we knew morphed into a starry night. We were in the thick of woods. The glorious full moon was shaded by the clouds above, everything was quiet and still, not even the insects or the owls of the forest dared to rattle the stillness of the night.Suddenly we began to hear loud roars and feet stomping the ground in fury. First we made the face of the vampire woman, Nicolette, in her arms, she held a little baby. During my time in the nightmare realm, with everything going on, I didn't have enough time to look at the woman, but the more I looked at her I couldn't stop the sadness that gnawed at my heart aggressively. I crippled by a wave of sadness watching as she ran across the forest with the baby in her hand. Nicolette had beautiful short blond hair, and gleaming blue eyes that embodied the calm sea.I couldn't deny the striking resemblance she held to me. It was as if I was staring into an older and more e

Ava's Point Of ViewWe returned back to the pack at dusk, turns out Kaden had prepared more than two human criminals for me to feed on. With every blood I consumed I felt much stronger and powerful. I also grew strength in controlling my thirst for blood. There was a bonfire party tonight at the pack, to celebrate our victory against Ymir and her army. I asked Kaden what he did to Ymir's body, he told me he buried it in a lead coffin, somewhere deep in the ocean. She still had the blade of Agon in her heart so she couldn't wake up from her limbo of pain. While everyone at the pack was busy having fun at the bonfire, I was laying in my bed feeling restless. There were still a lot of questions I had, and so many answers I didn't have. What am I?It's crazy to think that I began to question my very own existence, but I couldn't explain my own existence. I couldn't be a born vampire because vampires couldn't procreate and I couldn't be a turned vampire because I wasn't human and it was im

Ava's Point Of View I quickly changed into more comfortable clothes. I was greeted with a smile by several pack members, they knew what I was but they weren't scared of me.I followed behind Kaden to the doors of the pack but I couldn't step out into the sun. The sun rays were extremely scorching on my skin. This had to be an effect of me being a vampire.“Here. Wear this.” Kaden says, giving me a ring with a strange onyx stone on it. I quickly obeyed wearing it. Kaden then gave me his hand which I took, stepping out into the sunlight. It didn't burn, I could stand the sun because of this ring.“It's a daylight ring. Krys made it for you.” Kaden explained. We reached his black BMW and we drove out of the pack's territory. We drove for hours, I didn't know where we were going, I wasn't really concerned actually, what I was really concerned about was learning more about vampires.“So you have met vampires before in the past, correct?” I asked Kaden, as he watched the road while giving

It was crazy, I could hear and see a bird humming a thousand miles away through my window, and that made my head hurt even more. The acidic taste of blood was fresh and was burning on my tongue, which made it extremely uncomfortable. All I could smell was Blood. Blood. BLOOD!I craved it.I tried to remember whatever had happened last night to make me feel this way but I just couldn't. Kaden's Point Of View My amber orbs gleamed a dangerous shade of red, my vision glowed red as well. I made full use of my Lycan side, plucking out the heads of Ymir's beastly army and witches that attacked. My sharp elongated nails dripped with their disgusting thick crimson blood. Ymir was using dark necromancy magic to bring these things to life. She was toying with us, trying to disgruntle us. She was buying herself time, I had to find her and put an end to all these madness.I pulled out the heart of an idiotic dead witch coming at me, my eyes flickered to Kole and Krys who were doing a really good job at reducing Ymir's beasts and witches. My claws were dripping wet. I glanced around as my army fought against Ymir's dark forces. It was already dead in the night, and the foul odor of blood and stench of death mixed with the midnight air. We've been fighting for quite some time but so far, there's been no sign of Ymir.
