“NATALIE!!! Turn your alarm off!” The girls yelled, throwing pillows at me. I moaned, it’s not my fault I liked waking up early, besides I patiently waited for this day. Today was the Awards Ceremony for the completion of our combat warfare training. We were leaving for the airport early Thursday morning on the 4th, in hopes of getting home before nightfall, but that all depended on the number of layovers. My stomach was doing flips at the thought of seeing my parents soon. However, I wasn’t so thrilled to see ‘Alpha’ Christian. I felt the switch happen around Thanksgiving break, knowing I was coming home to an egomaniac walking testosterone. He could've had a better chance with me if he’d given it time to get to know me better, but instead, he was a persistently annoying, domineering, self-centered prick. He felt entitled over me and wanted control. I was never going to give him that pleasure. Nathan was laughing at me the day I felt the shift. He saw my face in a sneer and all
We all woke up super early this morning. My alarm seemed to not bother anyone since they were eager to leave. I felt relieved when no one questioned Nathan and my whereabouts last night. It was my first time pleasuring a guy with my hands and being pleasured too. It was a night I would never forget. He’s been by my side since the moment I got here and we have encouraged, helped, and backed each other up. We both taught each other things that made us an exceptional team. Secretly, I was disappointed too, when I found out I wasn’t fated to him. We could have been terrific for each other, just like my parents. I grabbed my bag and made sure my books, earbuds, and headphones were in there for the long flight back home. A huge grin appeared on my face when I saw Nathan waiting for me outside the door with his bag hanging from his shoulder. “Hey gorgeous, you ready?” His sexy deep voice did things to my body. “Of course handsome. Waiting on me?” I said in a flirtatious tone. He humme
I woke up this morning feeling my left cheek soaked from my drool. ‘Damn! That was the best sleep I’ve had in a while.’ I looked around and saw my shirt sitting on my bed. I grabbed it and wiped the drool off my cheek. I definitely have to change the pillowcase tonight. I looked at the time and gasped. It was 10:38 in the morning. I couldn’t believe my eyes. I’ve never woken up that late before. This would be a first and last for sure. I groaned, flipping over to my back. ‘Mom…Dad?’ I mind-linked them. ‘Hey, slumber bunny! You’re up,’ Dad said. ‘Well that’s a first and you deserve it. By the way, Natie, Alpha Ian, and Luna Summer want to see you.’ Mom said excitedly. ‘Slumber bunny? Yes, first and last. It felt good though, anyways, is Christian here or is he at school?’ I replied. ‘Yes, he’s at the academy. Alpha Ian substitutes while he’s out.’ ‘Kay, I’ll just take a shower, get ready, eat something, and I’ll head over there. See ya in a bit…wait at the field, right?’ I asked.
~Christian’s POV~***Earlier on Friday***It was almost noon and I was already anxious to go home. I couldn’t shake this strange feeling away, especially knowing that Natalie would be home soon. Dad did say the first week of February, and still, there was no sign of her. I swear, the week was taunting me going by slowly.I got happy and excited for a second when Natalie’s parents told me they were heading out of town. I thought for a moment they were going to go pick Natalie up, but I frowned when they said they needed a day off and wanted to spend time together alone. I mean, they wouldn’t lie to their Alpha, would they?‘Christian?’ Jay rang in my head. ‘Jay. What’s up?’ I answered.‘Umm…so I just got a text from one of the warriors at home and you're not gonna believe it.’ Jay said nervously.‘Is something wrong?’ Jasper's ears perked up and I got a little worried.‘Christian, he said Natalie is there and is training with them.’ ‘THE F*CK DID YOU JUST SAY!??’ The class was now sta
My parents watched me pace back and forth in the living room. “Christian, you need to calm down. She is smart and understanding.” I was f*cking nervous. The doorbell rang, “They're here, remember let's start with the story of the missing child.” They both nodded.~Natalie’s POV~My parents were acting weird this morning. They seemed nervous and that made me anxious. Now, I was really worried about the purpose of this meeting.“Guys, are you okay? You two are starting to make me worry.” I said pulling them back.“Yes, baby.” The answer was short. We reached the pack house and Dad rang the doorbell. Summer opened the door, “Good morning! Come in.” All three of us walked into the living area.“Good morning Natie, Drew, and Iris,” Christian said.“Good morning Alpha.” My parents said and I nodded. They sat down. Summer began to speak, “Natalie, I’m sure you're confused and anxious to know why we are having this meeting. I can sense it, well I think we all can.” I raised my eyebrows.“Me?
I was lying on my bed watching the ceiling fan spin. My right arm was resting on my forehead while I sighed for the hundredth time. My whole world was shaken by the revelation about my past. I couldn’t even process the fact that I, Natalie Adams, was meant to be a Beta, but what made me sad was finally hearing the truth that my parents were not my parents. I mean, something deep, deep, deep inside told me that they weren’t, but I hoped it wasn’t real and that my inner voice was mistaken. As I lay there, I tried digesting all that was said to me and honestly, I didn’t know how to handle it, especially finding out how my real mom was killed. My own Father took her life. A tear rolled on the side of my cheek and I rubbed hard to wipe it off. That man was no Father to me. He was going to pay for what he did to her. Who does that to their mate?! Summer said she had scars on her body that didn’t heal well. I had one objective and that was to avenge her death and I would make sure of it.
I was staring at the wall in the Men’s restroom. A few minutes passed before he spoke, “When did you get back?” I didn’t answer. “Natie–” I growled, cutting him off, “Natalie to you.” I know it's childish. “NO!” He turned me around. “Do you know how long I waited and waited? You never called me or even thought to text me? I thought I meant something to you! You made it seem that way. I told you I liked you and that I wanted to get to know you and…” He pulled his hair in frustration. I glared at him with a murderous look. I couldn’t say anything and instead pulled my arm away from his touch because the sparks were blasting intently up my arm. The sparks from before were nothing compared to the ones I was feeling right now. Anger does obstruct your senses. “DON’T. TOUCH. ME.” I said through my teeth. He stepped forward, closing the distance between us. “You come near me again, and I’ll reject you.” He frowned and hesitated to step back, but he did. Zoe growled pacing back and fort
It didn’t take long with Ms. Slate, but she was a bit nosey and I only told her what she needed to know. After our conversation, I headed to my locker and that’s when I heard my best friend whom I hadn’t seen in ages run up to me and knock me down on the ground, literally. “NATIE!!!!!” She squealed. She bombarded me with kisses all over my face. I couldn’t stop giggling. “I missed you too, Evie! I don’t think Jerry will like the fact that his girl is kissing another girl though.” I chuckled. “Oh, I don’t know, if anything I find it as a turn-on,” Jerry said laughing out loud. Of course he would, he’s a man. “I’m so thrilled to see my girl happy again. She missed you, Natalie, even I missed you.” He said as he gave us a helping hand. “Thank you. I missed you all so much too, Jerry. Thank you for taking care of my best friend here while I was gone.” I said, squeezing my friend so hard. “So…did you find your mate? Your birthday was last month, so did you find him!?” Her question surp
