**Blood Moon Pack 17 years ago.**
I pace back and forth, seething, as I furiously glare at my mate.
She looks completely disheveled but still gorgeous. I take a menacing step forward and wrap a hand around her hair, pulling it forcefully back, causing her pain. She thought she could leave me– slip away from me.
“I bet you thought I wouldn’t find you, Leyla. Did you forget that you belong to me!? I did say dead or alive, and I’m glad you're kicking.” I cover my nose in disgust. “UGH! Your stench is unbearable!” I spat.
_____________
Third POV:
Leyla, Angel’s wife, was considered a rogue since she renounced and fled the Blood Moon Pack. Rogues have a distinctive smell when they no longer belong in a pack. Their scent is described as an old dumpster or rotten eggs.
_____________
“It’s funny how you’d think I would stay. I left for MY baby, Angel. You’ll never see her.” She smirked. “At least I know I left her in good hands in a peaceful environment, receiving the love she needs, you know…the type of love you know nothing about. You never deserved me, so what makes you think you deserve her? I don’t understand why the moon goddess fated me to you…you worthless piece of cra—”
I slapped her across the face before she could finish that insult. She’s never dared to talk to me this way before.
I chuckled menacingly when I saw her spit out blood, but then became enraged at the sight of her.
“Shut your mouth!! You have no room to talk!” I yelled out angrily.
She giggled without fear, and within seconds… it vanished. She glared at me, “I have every right to talk, imbecile. Does the Alpha know what kind of friend, Beta, he has by his side? I would love to see him see how pathetic you truly are. Why don’t you let me talk to him instead? After all, I owe him that explanation.”
She spoke in a bitter sneer, then smirked and opened her mouth again.
“Idiot!! I was planning on leaving you the second I found out I was pregnant. Can’t believe you thought I was going to let you keep abusing me forever. I only stayed to figure things out, to plan my escape. My baby doesn’t deserve the life I was living. I don’t care what you do with me, I’m just happy, she’ll be far away from you and have a chance at a better life.”
Even though every single word pissed me off, I masked that sh*t up well and chuckled wickedly at her becoming ballsy.
“Leyla, Leyla, Leyla, you’ll be dead before you ever get the chance to speak to Connor, and as for the kid, I’ll search far and wide for her…” I said cruelly, walking towards the small table in the center of the room. I grabbed the silver dagger and stepped in front of her, leaning close to her ear, “And when I find her, I’ll do with her as I please. Maybe send her six feet under just like her mother.” Her eyes widened at my threat.
“You keep saying she’s your child, she’s mine, too! Last time I checked, it takes two to create a kid. She doesn’t deserve to be the Beta of this pack! However, you're right about something, though, I have no idea why I was fated to a weak wolf like you. You may have the looks, but you’re ineffectual.” I sneered.
“It should have been your friend, Kim.” I placed the dagger around her neck. “After all, she is more satisfying in bed than you ever were. You were a stiff log, undesirable."
____________
Third POV:
Leyla’s eyes widened, and tears rolled down as shock sped through her beaten body from his cold-hearted confession. Leyla and her wolf, Ava, had both felt his betrayal several times for a long time. Shameless bastard, she thought to herself. After a while, she didn’t care anymore, but what hurt her was finding out it had been with Kim. She became friends with her when she first stepped into his pack. She felt betrayed, and Ava howled. She closed her eyes for those last seconds before death and asked the moon goddess to protect Natalie from Angel. She trusted that the Alpha and the Luna from the Starry Night Pack would watch after her and that the couple that took her baby would take care of her as if she were theirs.
____________
In a fast swipe, I slit her throat. Even in the face of death, she had a ghostly smirk glaring at me; it irked the hell out of me. As I watched the light in her eyes extinguish and her blood pour out on the floor, I didn’t feel an ounce of regret.
I angrily stared at those orbs that once saw me with fire, and in that precise moment when she gave up the ghost, I received agonizing chest pain, and my wolf, Roe, howled for the loss of our mate.
Stupid mate bond.
I was never an affectionate person. My Father was the same way–aggressive, ruthless, and short-tempered; the apple didn’t fall far from that tree. That’s who I am. Roe, on the other hand, wanted her. He hated it when I screwed with Kim or when I shattered Leyla the way I did. He was only my wolf, and I had more control over him than he did over me. I didn’t care about how he felt or what he wanted.
Staring at her body, I realized I never cared for a mate. I was forced to go to that useless mate ball. Our previous Alpha and Luna wanted us to find our mates so we would be complete and continue our bloodline.
Her lifeless body had me zoned out to the time when I first saw her. A vivid memory.
I was talking and joking around with Connor when I saw him fix his gaze behind me and become emotionless. I turned around, and that’s when I saw her. Leyla was standing there like a sinful goddess, looking around for someone. ‘Damn if she isn’t the sexiest doll I’ve ever seen.’
I stood next to Connor, and from my peripheral vision, I could see how mesmerized he was at the sight of her, and to my surprise, that’s when I felt the mate bond click, ‘Mate! Mate! Mate!’ Roe was going crazy.
‘Well, damn! Ain’t I the lucky one.' My heart swelled with pride knowing that I had won the girl Connor was drooling over.
Everything started well when I brought her home, but it quickly changed when I realized she wasn’t enough, and her clinginess began to irritate me. I was never a one-woman man, and if she thought that I would let that stupid bond stop me from having more women, she was dead wrong.
Her friend Kim seduced me, and who was I to say no to another snatch? It was a surprise to learn that wolves can feel their mates' betrayal. I didn’t give a damn, though. It enraged me when I would get home, and she quickly sniffed me, making her roar because another woman’s scent was on me, but as quickly as she was to bark, I’d shut her up by slapping her across the face. I didn’t care if she was my mate; I’m the man of the house, and I did what I wanted as long as she had what she needed.
Thereafter, the slaps became more violent, and then the beatings came after. I didn’t care if Leyla wailed. Her tears only encouraged me to hit her harder. She was a wolf; she’d heal.
The only thing she was supposed to be good for was giving me a strong heir, a Beta, but she managed to mess that up as well! She delivered a girl when I was hoping for a boy. Girls are too damn weak and soft, only good for spreading their legs.
I sighed heavily. Now…to find the kid and obliterate her from existence. Not even Connor will be able to save her. I had a mission, and she was not part of it.
(Suddenly, Alpha Connor entered the dungeon.)
____________
~Alpha Connor~
My eyes landed on Leyla’s lifeless body, and for that split second, I felt a sudden twinge of pain.
How f*cking dare he take her life!
There was once a time I had wished Leyla had been fated to me instead of him.
I lifted my hand and gripped Angel by his throat; someone had forgotten their place.
“What gave you the right?! Why didn’t you wait for me?!” I lashed out, seething, giving Angel a murderous glare. My power rolled off me in waves. Angel forcefully showed his neck in submission, and I slightly smirked.
____________
Third POV:
He remembered the first time he laid eyes on her at the mating ball that took place at the Midnight Pack, where Alpha Easton Carter’s parents hosted it. Every unmated wolf was to be present.
It was her beauty that took his breath away. She looked so innocent and stunning. She had long, straight, black hair, emerald eyes with long, thick eyelashes, and dusty pink lips. Her body was perfect. Curves that were sinfully aching to be touched; they were to die for.
He was upset when he discovered that his soon-to-be Beta was mated to her. He couldn’t do anything about it because that’s how the goddess wanted it. Shortly after, he sensed his mate, Claire Hills. She was a beauty as well. However, their love story was cut short. Grief struck when he lost her while she was giving birth to their son. Losing a mate is the hardest part of a shifter's life.
Weeks after their son, Landon, was born, Leyla gave birth to a beautiful green-eyed baby girl with a mop of black hair. Hours later, she disappeared in such haste. Since werewolves heal fast, she wasted no time escaping. No one saw or sensed her absence, and he couldn’t for the life of him understand why. Angel wasn’t even by her side when she gave birth, so it made it much easier for her to vanish.
____________
I recall the moment when I felt the pack-link break a little over a week ago, scaring the hell out of me. It was too late, though. By the time I found out it was Leyla, she was long gone. She planned this escape weeks before. Why, though? Why did she leave?
When Leyla joined my pack, she was kind, feisty, joyful, helpful, humble, and sexy, but as the days went by, I noticed she was hardly around, and when I did see her, the light in her eyes was gone. She hardly spoke to anyone. Could that change have to do with Angel?
“What for!!! She was my mate, not yours. She betrayed me! She wouldn’t tell me where my kid was!” Angel yelled out, struggling to speak, snapping me out of my thoughts. I could sense the heat and anger spilling out of him.
I released him. “I could have reasoned with Leyla, Angel! Perhaps she would have opened up with me. You should have waited for me.” I growled. This guy never had patience and always wanted to strike first and then ask questions later.
I’ve known my Beta all my life. Growing up, I realized Angel was very easy-tempered and aggressive.
“Unless you have powers to bring her back, do it! She was a rogue and didn’t deserve a second chance. A week passed, and she never contacted me, not a f*cking explanation. So f*ck off!” He growled back.
I took a menacing step towards him, “Watch your mouth. I’m your Alpha, don’t you forget that.” I spat.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath to calm down. “We’ll find your daughter. She’s next in line for the title. Landon and our pack will need her.”
Angel gave me a forced nod and turned around, ordering the guards to pick up Leyla’s body and burn it. He didn’t think she deserved a proper burial since she was considered a rogue.
My heart felt a slight pang. If only….
Angel just stood there holding the dagger tightly to his chest. I will never understand him.
Five years later… “Daddy, stop kissing mommy! That’s my mommy!” Blade yelled at Ivan. “I’m going to marry her one day, so stop kissing her!” Ivan gave Blade a smug look, ‘I swear if this kid wasn’t mine…’ Natalie cocked an eyebrow, ‘What Ivan!? What would you do?’ ‘Nothing, baby. Nothing.’ He chuckled. “We can share for now, but you're going to find your mate one day, Blade,” Ivan said calmly. “Nope! Not me. I’m marrying my mommy and you can’t stop me!” Blade smiled, giving Ivan a triumphant look. “Sure kid, sure. We’ll see. I’m gonna remind him of that crap, watch.” An almost 4 year old Valentina was walking up to Ivan, “Daddy! Your home Daddy! My Daddy.” Ivan looked at Natalie, “Well, at least one of them likes me.” Natalie snorted while she was carrying a 1 and a half year old baby Drew in her hands. They were surprised when they found out they were expecting and became ecstatic when she found out he was a boy. She named him Drew Easton Carter. A little version of both his p
I want to thank each and everyone of you for reading my book, Alpha Ivan. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. I want to also thank my husband and my sister-in-law for believing in me and supporting me during this moment in my life. Never did I think I could write a book. I knew I had a big imagination, but to jot it down on paper was a whole different level. Please leave an honest review. I will work harder on my next following book, River, making me edit deeply. You will love the next book based on a young girl, named River Barlowe. However, after I begin to work on River, I will also try my hardest to work on the next book in continuation of Alpha Ivan, based on their daughter Valentina and the Lycan’s son. I hope to meet your expectations and fantasies because this for me was an amazing journey. Thank you so much again for reading and providing me with your feedback. I hope you enjoy the epilogue and also hope to have you in suspense >:) Love you all! XOXO Liz. S.
~Third Person POV~ 6 months later ***WINTER MATE BALL*** The Dark Forest pack was hosting the Mate Ball this time. It was mid-January and all single males and females of age were to attend. So many were looking forward to this event, eager to find their mates. Most had to understand that if they didn’t find that special someone, it was most likely because they were not of age yet or they couldn’t make it. This is why Mate Balls were important for all single wolves to attend whenever and wherever it took place. Axel, Zeo, Eric, Kendrick, and Tommy were amongst the male wolves anxious to attend. Royal blue, silver, gray, white, and black were the colors of the ball. They truly made it look and feel like winter in the gorgeous hall that was built recently for this event. The white landscape and gorgeous mountain views made this event even more romantic. Without notice, gorgeous women began to stroll in, in their elegant, attractive, stunning dresses and high heels. It was a funny sc
~Ivan’s POV~ **6 months later** After Natalie's last heat, I made sure I’d filled her up with my seed to last for days. Three days later, I detected a faint, light heartbeat. I was the first to notice it. We were both overwhelmed with joy whilst Natalie was sobbing. She was ready to become a Mother. When I first held one of the St. Cloud twins, it made me realize I wanted to be a Father. I wanted my own family. I had the mind of a 40-year-old, even though I was technically only 18. Unlike many young men when they become young Fathers they develop a fear of the unknown, perhaps being a failure to them, not being able to provide, or to build a bond with their child. There could be so many reasons but not for me. When you're an Alpha, you have to mature more quickly than others. So being a Dad was something I looked forward to. My son would soon make an appearance in this world and I couldn’t be any more ready. My girl looked beautiful being pregnant. It was a whole other level of be
~Ivan’s POV~ “You were too nice. I would’ve said, ‘If you like to breathe, then I suggest you stay inside your home or die’, Ivan,” Christian snorted. “Yeah, well…most of these people are innocent and don’t agree with half of the crap their Alpha does. Besides they have kids and it would be heartbre
~Nathan’s POV~ I was on my way to the tree when, ‘Nate, I think I’ll be a little late. Seems I’ve been invited to a party.’ What the… ‘Party!? What, what are you talking about Natie!?’ I responded, but nothing. DAMN IT! Natie! Natie!’ I was yelling through the mind-link, but she never answered. I w
When they left, I suddenly got a strong gut-wrenching feeling that things would go sideways. I couldn’t explain it because somehow it felt more like a premonition. I did what any smart person would, be two steps ahead. If I was wrong, oh well, but the important thing is to be prepared for anything.
~Ivan’s POV~ I was a bit nervous heading to my room. I hated pissing Natalie off, but I wore my emotions sometimes on my sleeve, only when it came to her or Leslie. I couldn’t help it, I once hated Christian but now that I know for sure he is fated to Leslie, I mean come on, it was f*cking obvious.
