Hunter heard a commotion from downstairs as he stepped into the lounge only to find Draken there and the whole family present. He felt left out. Draken saw Hunter and he pulled to his feet. He tipped his head before walking out. Hunter glared at his retreating before stepping outside with him. "What?" Hunter said sharply as Draken regarded him with narrowed eyes. "You could've informed me that Silvia was with you. Do you realize you wasted three of my days while my pack was left behind unprotected?" Draken grated as Hunter tilted his head. "If you don't trust your warriors with your pack then they are useless," Hunter said plainly, causing Draken's jaw to tick. "Just a reminder. You offered yourself on a silver platter to be King's son-in-law. He might not like it if he finds you messing with a witch, better enlighten him that you're searching for Alonso before the King thinks of something stupid. He might have his men keeping eyes on you," Draken said coolly as Hunter gnashed hi
Hunter barged inside the old abandoned factory. He wasn't alone. Three of his men were with him. Hunter has come along with Aurora and Draken saying he won't let them go alone as security should be tight because of Alonso. To his surprise, none of them said anything, and also Aurora didn't ask for Silvia to come along with her. And to his shock, Aurora scolded him for going into Silvia's room and then thanked him for apologizing to Silvia which he never did and never would, this means Silvia lied to Aurora about Hunter apologizing to her. This also indicates Aurora thinks Hunter apologized to Silvia and she forgave him. But no matter what Hunter won't forget how Silvia turned his whole family against him. After dropping Aurora and Draken into their pack's territory, Hunter along with his men went to check out Alonso's men's hideout which Silvia told him about. As soon as Hunter barged in he was met with a couple of burly men that reek of night Walker pack. He motioned his men to a
The bruises on her skin have faded away and she looked a bit refreshed, not her ghost-like appearance where she resembles a corpse most of the time. Her silky black hair was long reaching her hips. They were as straight as an arrow moving softly with the humming breeze. She was walking back and forth with an emotionless face. Her pace was calm and composed as if she was deep in thought. She was wearing one of Aurora's sundresses. Her eyes fixated on the ground. He also noticed that her slippers lay near the bench as she walked on the grass barefoot. Hunter's mind went back to the scene where she provoked him deliberately and he shook his head. He didn't want to ponder on it more. There were more crucial matters to deal with. Hunter still stood there watching her. She was small and fragile but he won't say the same for her mind. From what Hunter could gather Silvia was sharp, witty, and extremely clever. She ain't no damsel in distress. The game she played on Hunter was competent.
"Can I help?" Silvia asked softly as Emma turned around to give her a surprised look. "No, dear. You're a guest. We don't make our guests work. You should rest," Emma said, making the dough as the rest of the cooks were busy with other chores. "Please, let me help you. I feel claustrophobic in my room," She said in a small voice and Emma's eyes softened. "Come here," She called the girl inside as Silvia made her way to Emma in the kitchen. Emma made a mental note to do the shopping for Silvia or ask Agatha to bring Silvia's stuff to the pack house as she would stay here for a while. "Can you cook?" Emma asked, earning a nod from Silvia. "Wanna cook something for yourself?" Emma questioned and Emma looked at her a bit surprised before nodding. "Can I cook steak for everyone?" She asked hesitantly and Emma smiled. "Of course," Emma asked the cook to provide all the ingredients to Silvia, and the girl began to cook. Silvia made steaks and Emma tasted them, she compliment
Hunter breathed in deeply. Closing his eyes for a brief second he opened them before stepping out of the car. The guards came forward taking the car keys from him as Hunter bounded inside the huge castle-like mansion. The last time he was here was to rescue Draken and ended up sealing the deal with Alpha King. Alpha Waylen has tried to invite Hunter over multiple times and each time Hunter would come up with an excuse but as the time was cutting off shorter he had to visit the palace just so he could know what was going on in King's head. The chief bowed slightly in respect to Hunter and Hunter didn't even throw him a glance. "The king is in the lounge," Chief Fernando said as he escorted Hunter to the lounge where the King was sitting. Hunter's gait was powerful, his shoulders squared as power oozed out of his aura in waves. Hunter noticed that the King's health has deteriorated even more. He looks fragile but the arrogant ecstasy of power was still plastered on his face. "Co
Hunter plopped down on the bench in the garden as the girl awkwardly stood beside him before she sat down as well, a little away from him. Hunter watched her knee bouncing as she fidgeted with her fingers. She was anxious. "What's your name?" He asked after the longest time. "Violet," Was her innocent reply. Good Lord, this girl looked so naive and soft. How would she survive with a monster like Hunter? "When will you turn 18?" Hunter asked, eyeing her keenly and her face visibly paled. "I...In two and half months," She stuttered looking scared and he realized what must be going on inside her head. "Cool," He muttered and Violet stiffened. The bouncing of her knee intensified. Swallowing down the lump in her throat she snuck a glance at him. He was handsome beyond words but his personality was rotten through and through. How would she survive with him? She breathed in deeply trying to calm her erratically beating heart down as she stared at his hand that was on the be
"No one doubts me. Yes. Yes." A fleeting pause. "Yes, I'll keep in contact," She said and after that, there was slight shuffling followed by silence. Hunter stepped back glaring at the door as vicious lava began to boil inside him and all he saw was red. He could kill her then and there. Dispose of her body and tell his family that Alonso had abducted her. It would be easy. He'll deal with his family. He should kill her now before it becomes a bigger problem. Now he knows that his instincts weren't wrong and she was working for Alonso all along pretending to be naive and all in front of his family. That deceitful little thing. He was gnashing his molars in rage. Hunter took yet another step back as he shoved his fingers through his hair. Breathing in deeply he quietly walked away from her room before he ended up doing something he would regret later. Once inside his room, he poured himself cognac, getting rid of his jacket he sat on the couch sipping his drink in the dark sile
Her ears were ringing as she tried to comprehend if she heard him right. She could feel his hard muscles flushed against her soft frame and it made her immensely uncomfortable. Panic started to build in as her struggles grew frantic and sweat trickled down her forehead. She didn't want to break down in front of him like this. "You've no manners or any shame. Let go of me," She demanded sharply, pushing at his chest but he didn't budge. He just observed her like a hawk. Silvia wasn't looking him in the eyes, she couldn't. Her heartbeat had shot to a reckless pace. She tried to stop the trembling but it wasn't in her control anymore. He leaned further close and her heart almost lurched to her mouth when she felt his hot breath on her skin. The voices inside her head went dead silent and all she could think of at that moment was to scream for help but to her surprise Hunter let her go but he didn't step back. Silvia grabbed the railing as she staggered a step back. Her legs were tre
