Chapter eleven

Olivia POV.

Warmth gushes within me as I watch Grim walk away. A smile tugs at my lip. It is the first genuine smile that tugs at my lips after Conrad’s death, and my daydreaming of my mate caused it. Grim, the beastly hybrid. What the hell is happening to me?

Well, I can’t blame myself for the warm sensation that flooded me. He had pecked me—not an aggressive one or out of duty, but a soft, patient one.

I had captured his heart, not fully, but I could say I am two steps closer to earning his respect and possibly his love, if it was meant for someone like me.

Lia was right. He needed a support system. Someone to be on his side. I did not miss the pleasure-able smile that tugged at his lips when I called him Alpha or said Team Grim.

I sit on my bed and hug myself. Lia had been called and had gone out. After a while, someone knocked on the door—two maids. “Grim sent us to pack your clothes and other things,” the maid said, bowing their heads.
