Ezra: I watched as Lia walked inside the house carrying a few shopping bags. Maddie was a few steps behind her, and walking inside, she put the bags on the floor, nodding at a maid to come and pick it up. I walked toward the girls, and seeing his girlfriend, Lorenzo walked toward Maddie who smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. She knew that Armando was somewhat against their relationship, and though I was confused about why he was, I chose not to comment or question him about it. The woman was his sister, and he knew what he saw fit for her as a lover. “How are you?” I asked Lia, wrapping my arm around her as I pulled her in for a kiss. I knew that she would be playing along considering that we were in front of Lorenzo, Maddie, and the maids who were picking things up, and smiling at me, she nodded. “I’m fine, and you?” “You do realize that you were with her a few hours ago, right? I didn’t kidnap the woman. The two of us merely went shopping and got our hair and nails d
Lia: “Ezra, Lia, I am surprised to see that the two of you are here.” Killian said, approaching the two of us. Armando was somewhere, walking around the club, getting a drink. The man arrived a while after he brought his girlfriend, who was now his date. Ezra suspects that she might be his mate, but the man is yet to inform him, officially, as his Alpha about anything. Ezra, who was sitting beside me, got up from his chair and extended a hand to the Lycan, shaking it. “I believe that you of all people should be aware of my support for Mikhail.” Ezra answered, raising an eyebrow at Killian. “The main question is why are YOU here? I believe that you are a rival?” “Yes, I was a rival to Mikhail’s father, but that does not mean that I have to be toward his son. You know, a family rival can end somewhere, and I choose for it to end with his father.” Killian said, looking at Mikhail who frowned at the sight of the Lycan. Ezra put his hand on his chest, pushing him back. “The man is pr
Ezra: “Don’t you think that you would be having an issue with Mikhail future wise because of this?” Lia asked, shaking her head in question. The two of us were still at the club, showing whatever support we can offer as we looked at the man who had a number of people around him right now, either praising, or partying around him. “It could, but I don’t think so. The man still lacks a lot and he still has a LOT to learn, but the issue that he’s having is that he doesn’t have anyone to show him the right track.” I said, looking at my wife. “He might be angry now, but he would eventually know that I was speaking to him as a brother. I would still defend him with my life, and if he thinks otherwise, I will be sure to feed him his balls for that.” “TMI.” “Excuse me?” I asked, frowning in confusion at Lia’s disgusted face. “Too much information. TMI, and abbreviation of the sentence.” Lia said, as if stating the obvious. I had to fight back laughing at her explanation, and shaking her
Lia: I sighed as I cleaned Ezra’s cuts as he sat on the edge of the bed. The two of us had to literally sneak into the house to ensure that his mum didn’t see us in fear that she would go bonkers about his bruises and cuts. Daniel, despite being human, managed to cut Ezra’s cheek, and running the cloth with alcohol on it on the cut, Ezra flinched. “I’m sorry, I’m almost done, okay?” I asked, and he nodded, allowing me to get to work. I slowly wiped the cuts for him, careful to clean any excess blood from the cuts before throwing the cloth away and applying medicine on it. Ezra stayed still, allowing me to work as he closed his eyes, avoiding looking at me. I set the ointment away and walked to the bathroom to wash my hands, not bothering to say a word as I allowed Ezra’s words from earlier to sink in my head. The way he spoke to me, his genuine question, and his eyes meeting mine, all that made my heart swell, and the thing was, I didn’t know whether or not he was being serious
Ezra:Never in my life did I think that I would weaken because of a woman. If anything, falling in love or being in a relationship was something that I was completely against exactly for that same reason. The ideas of being scared of losing a woman, her having an effect on me, or the two of us getting into meaningless arguments were a few things that I never wanted to deal with, but here I was, growing ‘emotional’ because of an argument with a woman that I have been sharing a bed with for a month. It sickened me with myself that she could have such an effect on me, and feeling her presence behind me as she walked out of the bedroom and down toward the garden only made me let out a low, warning growl. “I didn’t come here to argue, Ezra.” Lia said, keeping her voice low as she spoke. I initially wanted to go out, but a feeling inside me told me not to. I didn’t know whether it was me, or my wolf, but something seemed to drag me back to the house faster than I ever thought that I would
Lia:I sat on the edge of the bed as Ezra’s question played in my head. The way he looked at me, his anger, his pain, his racing heart as he tried to form a full sentence. Everything made my chest clench as I hated the fact that I knew that I had hurt him. Him catching feelings for me, if that were truly the case, was never something that I dared to think putting in account. He walked into the bedroom, not bothering to knock on the door, probably already knowing that I was not moving around, meaning that I wasn’t indecent. And even if I wasn’t wearing any clothes, the man didn’t necessarily need to worry about it, he knew that he saw me bare. Him knocking on the door was him simply respecting me to do it.He took a deep breath when he saw me getting up, and reading his expression, I chose not to ask any questions about it. The man had more to deal with than he could handle, and leaving it at that, I knew not to pressure him about it. Instead, I walked toward him and wrapped my arms ar
Ezra: I woke up with Lia sleeping peacefully on my chest. Her chest rose and fell as her naked body pressed on mine. She had her hand on my chest, laying it under her head as she used me as her pillow. And despite being with countless women before her, I had to admit that neither one of them gave me the sense of comfort and contentment that this small woman gave me. The way she looked at me, her smile, her soft eyes. Everything about her just played in my head, making my heart swell as I thought of them. Hell, even looking at her now just gave me a sense of home, something that I never thought a woman would give me. Her presence now, regardless of where we were, gave me a sense of being in my place, and though this was MY estate, and it was in fact my home, I couldn’t help but wonder how my life was before she entered it. It was funny how things have changed in a span of a month, but I had to admit, I grew used to having her in my room and waking up to find her either asleep, out
Lia:“Who the fuck do you think you are to treat your mother in such a way? Is that how I raised you to be?” Ezra and I were stopped as we were walking toward the door by his father who was now raging with anger. “Hello to you too, father.” Ezra said, turning around to face him. The man’s eyes were wide in anger, and I could tell that it was taking Ezra all his patience to make sure that he was controlling himself in front of his dad. The fact that he just came to attack him the way that he did seemed more painful to me than I could admit out loud. The man didn’t even bother asking his son what happened and just came to assume that Ezra was the one mistaken.“Do not say a simple hello as if it were nothing. You are sending your mother to an exile? Because of your ‘wife’?” He looked at me as if I were some pest, and forcing myself to stay quiet and calm, I crossed my arms over my chest as I allowed Ezra to take charge of this. Interfering was going to get me nowhere, and the last thin
His eyes widened as they suddenly opened, his heart beating for the first time in weeks. That out of breath heavy one. One that he did not expect. His eyes searched around the tomb that he was in. Trying to process how he had gotten in here in the first place before his memory played back. The man had died. He was killed. He had kicked twice, but he didn’t open. Therefore, he chose to break it, punching it with a force that had it crashing on top of him. Sand fell on the man, but he didn’t care. He dug himself out, fearing that he was dead inside a tomb. In reality, he was. But he was yet to process that he came back from life, he came back from a different world, and that was something that was going to change a lot in him. He growled, getting out of the hole that he was in, taking a deep breath as he inhaled his oxygen. People who were around him, watching the scene, having initially come to visit their loved ones tried to flee. However, he didn’t really care. He stood up tryin
Ezra:“I didn’t want to speak in front of Lia, but what the hell happened?” I asked, frowning at my brother as we entered my office. We were back at New York’s Estate. However, I still couldn’t understand everything that we have lived through back at Rome, literally nothing made sense and that was something that I was well aware of. I didn’t even need to explain how wrong everything was to my brother, the man already knew.“I have no idea. But whatever it is, I really don’t know how this is going to lead us. Why did he drag us all the way to Rome when he could have killed her here?” Alvize asked, frowning in confusion. He was right, the two of us couldn’t understand anything that happened. Mom didn’t know what happened just yet, but I knew that when she heard, she was not going to be happy about it. I still didn’t even know how we were going to deal with Andromeda. The demon was going to put us through hell for this. And we weren’t even the reason behind her daughter’s death, but how
Lia: I looked at the woman, Annalise, who stood in front of us, shifted to a complete wolf. However she had done it. I don’t know, but I assumed that she had shifted before the moon rose. Regardless of what we told her and the facts that she knew, the woman didn’t seem to care. She was determined to lose her life here and now, and that was not something that we could allow. We at least needed this night to end without problems. Annalise had completely lost her mind, and that was something that I was sure of. Killian looked at the two of us, smirking as he watched his sister approaching. Alvize wrapped his arm around me and pulled me back from the two Lycans, not wanting me to get hurt. I knew that he needed me alive. I had to be the one to kill Killian. The blade was with me and not with Ezra, but that didn’t mean that they wouldn’t hurt my husband and that was not something that I wanted. “You heard me, Ezra D’Caprio.” Annalise said, threatening my husband. I looked at Ezra, wait
EzraMy wife and I ran through the hallways of the house. This mansion was huge, and needless to say, I understood what she meant by every single door here was named after her. She didn’t only mean that garden store, literally every single door was named after her. Most of the doors were locked, and only unlocked when we said Annalise. Either Killian was obsessed with the woman, or someone else had bought the house, and knowing Killian, I was sure that it wasn’t him that wanted every door to be named after the woman. The man proved to everyone that he did not like the woman. If anything, he has always tried to get rid of her, either by getting her married or by sending her on a mission that would kill her. The last of them was him knowing that she was within a relationship with the demon and yet not stopping it. How he had known and had the heart for it, I didn’t understand. However, I didn’t bother questioning it. At this point, all common sense wasn’t real, and if anything, I doubt
Lia:I had to fight the urge to snap the man’s neck as I glared at him. I knew that it wouldn’t help me. The man needed to be stabbed in the heart. Making sure that he took his last breath. It was the only way that he would die. A blade in the heart. While looking him in the eye, making sure that it was deep enough for him to die.Annalise took a slow step back. Trying to flee my anger, however, I simply laughed, mocking her as my husband stood by my side. He wrapped his arm around my waist as he pulled me closer, making sure to keep his eyes on the Lycans who were afraid. “Now, you know that we couldn’t do anything and that the two of us were weak. The two of us were nothing.” I said, recalling the Lycan’s insulting words when he had me captive in his house. It was something that I wouldn’t forget or forgive him for. The pain and anger that I have lived through was one that would forever be stuck in my head. “Yeah, how many words have you said so far?”I knew that I was taunting the
EzraI stayed quiet for a few seconds as I looked at the doors that opened, revealing the mansion that we were going to enter. Annalise let out a sigh of relief, clearly happy that we had arrived ‘safely’. She didn’t know the consequences that came with this arrival.Though they were unaware of our hands and my feet being free, the two of us stayed completely still, not wanting them to find out just yet. Things needed to take time, however this time was not on our side, we needed to work fast. It was the night where everything was going to end. Otherwise it was as though going to end.“Get them out.” Annalise said, glaring at the men. Her orders towards the men made them flinch. However, they did not dare to object as they opened the door for us. I stayed still, looking at the woman, watching as the men approached us. My wife’s expression was calm, and I knew that it was something that somewhat frightened the men and the Lycan who stood in front of us. The last thing she expected was
Lia: I sat in back of the truck, looking at my husband’s reflection as he smirked. Having just arrived in Rome, the woman was taking us to the Estate, at least, I think that it was one, for all of this to end. Ezra and I shifted the other night in the plane, leading the cabin crew, Annalise, and three of her brother’s men to be afraid of us. They had to put us to sleep to ensure that we didn’t kill them. Flashback: My body forced me to shift as the full moon rose in the sky. Though we were in the plane, our wolves could feel the rise of the moon, so we shifted. “What the fuck is going on?” Annalise asked, hearing our growls as she walked toward the compartment that we were in. I looked at my husband who nodded before the two of us got ready in the shadow. “What the fuck are the two of you going on about? You are already fed…” Ezra jumped on the woman first causing her to stumble back before I went to grab her arm. A man tried attacking me; however, I jumped on his arm, biting
Ezra: “What the fuck do you mean by the man left to Rome?” I asked, glaring at Francesco who looked down at his feet, avoiding my eyes, clearly wanting to run away from it. I knew that the last thing he needed was to get in the middle of this. The man was assigned to make sure that Killian didn’t even reach the airport; therefore for him to just easily escape, now that was something that I couldn’t understand. “Boss…” “Do not ‘boss’ me. I want direct responses. YOU, Bruno, and Valdez were assigned to…” “He killed them, Alpha.” He said, making me frown before the smell of blood filled my nostrils as he raised his shirt and bandage. Lia gasped, and I knew that she wasn’t looking at me or Francesco, her face wasn’t even directed at us. “Ezra…” “Not now, Lia.” I said, rushing to the man’s side. I wrapped my arm around the man, noticing that his intestines were showing. However he made it here, I didn’t know, but I didn’t intend on asking to find out. “Ezra!” Lia snapped, making me f
Lia:I watched as Ezra walked out of the basement where the cells were and frowned when I saw his anger in his eyes.Donatello, who was standing beside me, shook his head, motioning for me not to interfere.I knew that the man would need a little time to process what happened, and though I knew that he wouldn’t be taking it as easy as one, two, and three. He needed time to allow himself to digest everything that he has been going through, and to begin with, he needed time to actually think straight.“Donatello, I can’t just leave him to handle this on his own.” I said, looking at the man who shook his head at me.“For now, he needs to process what has happened. I know that it would be hard for you to leave him alone in this state. Especially as his mate, you would be finding the urge to want to go to him. But he needs to be able to think straight before the two of you can talk.” He said, and despite the pain that I felt at knowing that my mate was hurt, I was forced to stand still. Hi
