Justina's Point Of View
I couldn't believe Chace thought I would go and speak to him just because he said so. I don't care if he is the new Alpha of the Pack. I am not going to let him boss me around. I don't even want to be here anyway. Yes, I missed my mom and Justin, but I didn't want to be anywhere near Chace. Not only did he force me to come back to the Full Moon Pack. He also had my mom and Justin move into the Packhouse. I knew he did that because he wanted me close to him.
I was no fool. I knew what Chace wanted. He had finally accepted me as his Mate, and that was why he sent for me. Just because he accepted me now didn't mean I was going to accept him.
I walked out of my room, needing to get some air. "I was just about to come and get you. Look who is here," My mom said as I walked into the living room.
"Courtney," I squealed, excited to see her. I hadn't seen Courtney since we were in middle school. Courtney is Chace's sister. She had moved away when we were in the eighth grade, and I have missed her.
"Hey, Justina. I have missed you," Courtney said
"I have missed you too. I was about to go on a walk. Would you like to come with me?" I asked
"Sure," Courtney replied
"Mom, I will be back," I replied
"Okay, Sweetheart," My mom said, and Courtney and I left.
"How long have you been back?" I asked as Courtney and I walked around the Packhouse.
"I have only been back for two weeks. Once Chace took over as Alpha, he sent for me to come home. I have missed this place," Courtney said. "You know, Chace told me what happened on his eighteenth birthday. He told me you were his Mate," Courtney said
"Did he tell you everything? Did he tell you how he treated me?" I asked
"Yes, and I can't believe he did that to you. I understand why he did it, but I get why you are so upset at him," Courtney said
"Why did he do it?" I asked, and she sighed.
"I can't tell you, Justina. It isn't my place to tell you. You need to talk to him to find out why he did what he did," Courtney said
"I don't want to talk to him right now," I replied truthfully. I felt there was nothing Chace could say that would justify how he treated me.
"I understand. If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't want to talk to him, either. He should have handled things differently. But sooner or later, you two are going to have to sit down and have a talk," Courtney said
"Yeah, well, that won't be happening anytime soon," I replied. We went to the backyard and sat at a table by the pool. We talked about random things. She told me about what it was like living with her aunt and how she made many friends in the Crescent Moon Pack over the years. I told her about my Aunt Fiona and how I became close with Alpha Xavier and Luna Penelope. We were so caught up in a conversation I didn't notice when someone I never wanted to see again walked up to me.
"Hello, Justina. It's been a long time."
"What do you want, Danielle?" I asked as I looked at her. She didn't look that great. She had lost weight since the last time I had seen her, making her skinnier than she already was. She was wearing a tiny skirt that showed her blue thong and a bra as a shirt, and she reeked of Alcohol.
"Can I talk to you for a moment in private?" Danielle asked
"I don't want to talk to you," I replied
"Please, it is important," Danielle said. I didn't want to speak to her, but something about her voice made me think I should
"She said she didn't want to speak to you, Danielle," Courtney said
"No, I will speak to her. I will be back in a minute," I said. I could tell Courtney thought it was a bad idea, but she just nodded her head. I stood from my seat and walked with Danielle out of the backyard.
"Where are you going, girl?" Hannah, the Pack slut asked Danielle
"I will be back," Danielle said
"Hurry up. We have somewhere to be in less than an hour," Hannah said.
"Since when did you start hanging out with Hannah?" I asked
"Since you left me alone," Danielle said
"Are you seriously acting like I am the bad guy in this situation? You are the one I caught with my Mate," I growled.
"I know, and that is why I wanted to talk to you. There are things you don't know," Danielle asked.
"Like what?" I asked
"That night, I ran into Chace when I went out for a walk. He was upset that you were his Mate. He said he didn't want you as his Mate because you didn't have a wolf and were too weak to be his Mate and the Luna of the Pack," Danielle said. I wished her words didn't hurt me, but it did. It hurt knowing that Chace never wanted me as his Mate, even though I had already had a feeling that he didn't want me as his Mate because I was wolfless and weak. It still hurts hearing it.
"So you decided to make a move on him," I asked.
"No, I didn't. I tried to convince him that you weren't weak and that you may one day get your wolf, but he just laughed. He kissed me, and I pulled away from him," Danielle said, and I laughed.
"You moved away from him, really? That wasn't what it looked like when I caught the two of you together. I remember you looking at me with a smile on your face while he kissed your neck," I replied.
"You have to believe me, Justina. I wasn't in my right mind. Alpha Chace used his Alpha Command on me," Danielle said, shocking me. Even though Chace wasn't the Alpha back then, he still was the future Alpha and could command someone to do as he said. It wasn't as strong as it would be now that he was Alpha, but it would still work.
"Why would he do that?" I asked
"Because he was so upset that you were his Mate and wanted to hurt you. He knew the best way to hurt you was to use me. He took advantage of me, and he didn't just kiss me," Danielle said with tears in her eyes.
"What else did he do?" I asked. I had an idea, but I hoped I was wrong, but her answer confirmed I wasn't.
"He forced me to have sex with him."
I couldn't believe what she had just told me. I saw how his hands were roaming her body and had a feeling they did more than kiss that night.
"There you are. We need to talk," A husky voice said. I turned my head to see Chace standing behind me. I quickly stood from my seat and slapped him hard in the face. He looked shocked that I had slapped him. I didn't see anger, only sadness in his eyes.
"Justina, I am sorry," he started to say, but I cut him off.
"I will never talk to you. You are disgusting," I said and walked away. There were Pack Members in the backyard watching as I walked away. I was sure they were shocked that I had hit the Alpha of the Pack.
"What did you say to her?" I heard Chace ask Danielle, but I kept walking.
"What happened? What did Danielle say?" Courtney asked as I walked past her. She followed me as I walked into the woods, away from the Packhouse. "Justina, what did Danielle tell you?" Courtney asked, and I sighed.
"She told me that Chace used his Alpha Command the night I caught them together. She told me that he not only kissed her but raped her," I said"What, that is crazy. Chace would never do that to anyone," Courtney said
"I don't know. I saw him feeling on her and kissing her. It looked like they were about to have sex," I replied
"She is lying to you, Justina. Chace told me that he kissed her because he wanted you to find out about it and stay away from him because it wasn't safe for you to be with him at the time. He told me all they did was kiss," Courtney said, and I stayed silent. I didn't know what to think. I knew Danielle could have been lying to me.
"Look, I don't believe they had sex, but if they did, I am sure it was consensual. Think about it, Justina. Do you really think Danielle would have turned Chace down if he asked her to have sex with him?" I knew she was right. Danielle would have jumped on the chance to have sex with Chace. He wouldn't have to force himself on her.
"Okay, Maybe he didn't force her. But even if he didn't force her, I am not sure I could get over the fact that he had sex with my ex-best friend," I said
"You need to talk to him, Justina. You need to find out the truth."
I knew she was right, but I was still not ready to talk to him.
Justina's Point Of View "I can't believe my babies are seniors," My mom said. We were in the kitchen eating breakfast. It was Justin and My first day of senior year. It had been four days since I moved back to the Full Moon Pack, and I spoke to Danielle and Slapped Chace. I haven't seen either of them since. Justin and Courtney told me that Chace was trying to give me some space. I was sure he wasn't going to leave me alone for long. I was happy it was a school day because Chace had graduated last year, and I wouldn't have to worry about running into him. After talking with Courtney, I was sure Danielle was lying about Chace raping her, but that didn't mean I wanted to speak to him. Even if he didn't rape her, he might have had sex with her. I hated thinking of him with her or any other woman for that matter. It hurt just thinking of his cock being inside of another woman's pussy. He was supposed to be mine and mine alone. It also hurt knowing that he thought I was weak. Courtney m
Justina's Point Of View "Chace called for a mandatory training for all Pack Members in an hour. It's going to take us about thirty minutes to get home, so you need to get ready," Justin said as he drove us home from school. "Does he normally have surprise training?" I asked "No, not really," Justin said "I am not going," I replied, and Justin sighed. "You are a part of this Pack, Justina. You have to attend mandatory training and meetings. It would be good for you to train and get stronger," Justin said "Are you saying I am weak?" I asked, offended. I knew most werewolves thought I was weak because I didn't have a wolf. "That is not what I said, Justina. I am only saying it's good for everyone to train. Alpha Mark wouldn't let wolfless members train, but Chace believes everyone should train so they can learn to protect themselves. That was one of the first rules he changed when he became Alpha. Everyone thirteen and older trains whether they have a wolf or not. "Really," I aske
Chace's Point of View When Danielle challenged Justina, and Justina accepted the challenge, I was so worried. I knew Danielle was up to something. I wanted to rip her apart. I was worried she would hurt my Mate because Justina hadn't gotten her wolf yet. I could have demanded that Danielle and Justina didn't fight. Justina was my Mate, and Luna and Danielle had no right to challenge her, but I knew Justina was right. If she didn't fight Danielle, everyone would see her as weak. Many of the Pack Members already saw her as weak because she hadn't shifted yet. I knew how much that hurt her, knowing that people looked down on her. That is why I decided to let the fight go on, but I watched closely to make sure that Danielle didn't hurt Justina. When Danielle shifted into her wolf, I shifted as well, but before I could make my move to attack Danielle for trying to harm my Mate, Justina went into action. I was shocked when Justina broke Danielle's wolf's leg and caused her to shift back
Chace's POVAs soon as I walked into Daniells's hospital room, I could see the worry on her face. She knew I was upset and ready to punish her for challenging my Mate and her Luna. She would be punished, but not the way I wanted. I planned on banishing her from the Pack and turning her into a Rogue, but I had promised Justina that I wouldn't do that, and I planned on keeping my promise to her."Are you going to kill me?" Danielle asked worriedly"As good as that sounds to me after you tried to hurt my Mate, I can't do that. For some reason, Justina feels sorry for you even though you don't deserve her pity. I promised I wouldn't hurt you. That doesn't mean I am going to let you get away with challenging her and lying to her, saying we did more than kiss that night," I said"Are you going to banish me?" She asked"No, though that was my first choice. Justina doesn't want me to banish you either," I said, and a smile appeared on her face. "But as I said before, that doesn't mean you are
Justina's Point of View I listened to Chace's story without interrupting him. I was shocked at what he had told me, especially about his father. I never knew Alpha Mark was so evil. He seemed to care about the Pack and was always nice to me. I never would have guessed he was abusing Chace's mom and him. "Why would Alpha Mark mistreat you and your mom? He was always nice to everyone and took care of the Pack," I asked. "He cared for his Pack, but he hated being mated with my mom," Chace said "But they were Mates," I replied "They were not Fated Mates, Justina. They were chosen mates," Chace replied, shocking me. Then I thought about it. Normally when someone loses their Mate, they are very sad and don't want to be around anyone. The pain they feel from losing their Mate can kill them, or they can become crazy from losing their Mate, but Luna Greta seems fine. In fact, she seems to be happier than when Alpha Max was alive. "That is why she isn't hurting. They aren't fated, Mates,"
Justina's Point of ViewAs I left Chace's office, I couldn't stop thinking about what Chace had told me. The thing that hurt me the most was what he told me about Alpha Mark and my mom. Not only did they date before my mom met my dad, but Alpha Mark was behind my father's death. "Hey, Sweetheart. I was wondering where you went," My mom said as I walked down the hallway. "Hey," I said, not feeling like speaking to her. I was upset at my mom and Justin keeping everything away from me."Are you okay?" My mom asked"Yeah, mom. I am just tired. I am going to go to my room and rest. It's been a long day," I said"Okay, Sweetheart. I will check on you later," My mom said, and I headed to my room. "Justina, wait up," I heard Courtney say, and she walked over to me. "Are you okay? It seems like something is bothering you?" Courtney asked"Justina," Justin said and walked over to me as well. When he noticed my facial expression, she started to frown. "Chace told you, didn't he?" Justin asked
Chace's Point of ViewI watched as Justina left my office. I wanted to stop her, but I decided it would be better to let her have some time to herself. I had told her a lot and knew she needed time to think. I also knew I shouldn't have kissed her without her consent. I knew she was upset with me, and I needed to apologize to her. I decided I would apologize to her in the morning before school. Hopefully, she will let me take her to school tomorrow. I decided to keep myself busy and work on Pack Work. Since Justina had come home, I hadn't been working on it as much as I should have been. I called Alpha Tom, the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, because I had canceled my appointment with him a few days before. He wanted to talk to me about a treaty with our Packs. Alpha Tom and my father didn't get along for some reason. I picked up my phone, happy that he was willing to speak to me after I had canceled our meeting. We discussed a treaty, and I agreed to come to the Blood Moon Pack in tw
Justina's Point of View"What are you two doing here?" I asked as I walked over to where Courtney, Justin, and Chace were. "We wanted to check on you and Courtney to make sure you were alright," Chace said. "I am not weak and don't need you checking up on me," I said angrily. Chace was acting like I was too weak to go anywhere without him. I didn't need him acting all protective over me. Not after the way he treated me. "I know you are not weak, and I don't want you to get upset with me. I only want to protect you," Chace said. I hated that a part of me was happy hearing his confession. He had no right to act as if he was looking out for me."I don't need you to protect me. I can protect myself. Stop acting like you care about me, especially after how you treated me because it won't work," I said. There was no way I was going to let him fool me into believing he really cared about me. I knew he didn't want me. He felt I was a burden on him, and that was why he used Danielle to make
