Chace's Point Of View
"She doesn't want to speak to you, man," Justin said as he walked into my office. I wasn't surprised, especially with how I treated Justina on my eighteenth birthday when I sensed she was my Mate.
I had always been in love with my best friend's twin sister, but she was off-limits. It took so much strength for me not to take her in my arms and mark her that night, but it was the only way to keep her safe.
"She hates me, doesn't she?" I asked Justin, and he sighed
"She doesn't hate you, but she is upset with you and has every right to me. You should have handled things better," Justin replied.
"I know, but you know why I did what I did. My father would have killed Justina if he found out she was my Mate," I replied.
No one in my Pack knew my mom and dad were not Fated Mates. My father had rejected his Fated Mate and killed her for Justina and Justin's mother, Laura when he turned eighteen years without telling her. He has always been obsessed with her.
He was pissed when Justina's parents discovered they were mates at their father Thomas' eighteenth birthday and accepted each other. Thomas was the soon-to-be Beta of the Pack, just as my father was the Soon to be Alpha.
My father slept with my mother one night at a party and ended up getting her pregnant with me. He decided to make my mother and his chosen Mate Luna. He never loved my mom and treated her terribly. He would cheat on my mom with humans in the human territory. He never messed with any she-wolves because he didn't want to look bad. Cheating on your Mate was looked down on in the werewolf community.
He never got over Justina's mom. I discovered a year before my eighteenth birthday that my father planned Justina's father's death. I overheard my father talking to one of his old friends, and they were talking about how he killed Justina's father because he thought her mother would be with him with her Mate out of the picture.
He was wrong because a few days after Justina's father's death. He went to Laura, telling her he still loved her and wanted to be with her, but she turned him down. I was happy to hear that Laura saw my mother as a friend and would never betray her or Justina's dad by being with him.
After becoming Alpha, I called Laura into my office and told her everything that happened. She told me she suspected my father was involved in her mate's murder, so she wasn't shocked. I also told her and Justin about Justina being my Mate. I told them how I treated Justina the night of my eighteenth birthday and why. They were upset but understood why I had to push her away. They told me they wouldn't stop me from being with Justina, but it was her choice to forgive me or not.
I hope she will forgive me for that night. I want to talk to her so I can tell her I regret how I dealt with everything. I especially regret using her best friend, Danielle, to push her away.
Danielle was walking and noticed me. She asked me if I was her best friend's Mate and I told her I was but couldn't be with her right now because it was too dangerous. I knew my father would kill her if he found out the daughter of the woman he had always wanted to be with was my Mate. I told her I needed to figure out how to keep Justina away from me until it was safe.
Danielle was the one that came up with the idea of us kissing and making her think we did more. If she saw us together, she would run away. Danielle was right. I didn't see her after that night. Justin told me she was acting depressed, and that made me feel terrible. Justina moved to the Half Moon Pack two days later, and I haven't seen her since.
After Justina left, Danielle started flirting with me. It was like she thought we were going to be a couple. All I did with that girl was kiss her, and it was to make Justina leave for her safety. I explained that to Danielle, and she became upset. She told me she would make a better Mate and Luna than Justina. That was when I realized Danielle was jealous of her so-called best friend.
I warned her never to speak about my Mate and her future Luna like that again. I also told her that she would be punished if she ever came on to me again. I would never be with anyone sexually again beside my Mate. I haven't touched anyone since that night.
"It has been hard without my Mate. My wolf is upset with me because of the way I treated her. He blames me for my Mate leaving, which he is right because It is my fault that she left. I needed to talk to Justina and tell her why I did what I did. I needed her to know that I was sorry and that I needed her by my side as my Mate and Luna. I knew it would take her a while to trust me and accept me fully, but I would wait until she was ready.
"Fine, If she won't come to me, then I will go to her," I said and stood from my seat.
"Do you think that is a good idea? Maybe you should give her a few days to adjust before going to her," Justin asked as he walked beside me to his floor.
"I can't wait, Justin. I have waited long enough. This conversation is long overdue," I replied. Knowing there was nothing he could say to change my mind, Justin didn't say anything.
As I waited for the elevator to stop on the Beta floor. I hoped Justina would listen to everything I had to say. Once we arrived, Laura was sitting in the living room watching tv.
"Hey, Mom, Chace is here to speak to Laura," Justin said
"She isn't here right now," Laura said
"Where is she?" I asked
"Courtney came by, and they decided to go for a walk," Laura replied. Courtney was my little sister. My mom and I thought it was best to send her away a few years ago to live with my mom's sister at the Crescent Moon Pack. We wanted to protect her from our father. Everyone calls Courtney and me Irish twins because of how early she got pregnant after having me. We aren't even a year apart in age. My dad didn't listen to the doctor and had sex with my mom not even a month after having me. Werewolves are very fertile, and she got pregnant with my sister quickly.
"I am going to go and find her. I need to speak with her," I said
"Good luck," Laura said, and I hopped on the elevator to find my Mate.
Justina's Point Of View I couldn't believe Chace thought I would go and speak to him just because he said so. I don't care if he is the new Alpha of the Pack. I am not going to let him boss me around. I don't even want to be here anyway. Yes, I missed my mom and Justin, but I didn't want to be anywhere near Chace. Not only did he force me to come back to the Full Moon Pack. He also had my mom and Justin move into the Packhouse. I knew he did that because he wanted me close to him. I was no fool. I knew what Chace wanted. He had finally accepted me as his Mate, and that was why he sent for me. Just because he accepted me now didn't mean I was going to accept him. I walked out of my room, needing to get some air. "I was just about to come and get you. Look who is here," My mom said as I walked into the living room. "Courtney," I squealed, excited to see her. I hadn't seen Courtney since we were in middle school. Courtney is Chace's sister. She had moved away when we were in the ei
Justina's Point Of View "I can't believe my babies are seniors," My mom said. We were in the kitchen eating breakfast. It was Justin and My first day of senior year. It had been four days since I moved back to the Full Moon Pack, and I spoke to Danielle and Slapped Chace. I haven't seen either of them since. Justin and Courtney told me that Chace was trying to give me some space. I was sure he wasn't going to leave me alone for long. I was happy it was a school day because Chace had graduated last year, and I wouldn't have to worry about running into him. After talking with Courtney, I was sure Danielle was lying about Chace raping her, but that didn't mean I wanted to speak to him. Even if he didn't rape her, he might have had sex with her. I hated thinking of him with her or any other woman for that matter. It hurt just thinking of his cock being inside of another woman's pussy. He was supposed to be mine and mine alone. It also hurt knowing that he thought I was weak. Courtney m
Justina's Point Of View "Chace called for a mandatory training for all Pack Members in an hour. It's going to take us about thirty minutes to get home, so you need to get ready," Justin said as he drove us home from school. "Does he normally have surprise training?" I asked "No, not really," Justin said "I am not going," I replied, and Justin sighed. "You are a part of this Pack, Justina. You have to attend mandatory training and meetings. It would be good for you to train and get stronger," Justin said "Are you saying I am weak?" I asked, offended. I knew most werewolves thought I was weak because I didn't have a wolf. "That is not what I said, Justina. I am only saying it's good for everyone to train. Alpha Mark wouldn't let wolfless members train, but Chace believes everyone should train so they can learn to protect themselves. That was one of the first rules he changed when he became Alpha. Everyone thirteen and older trains whether they have a wolf or not. "Really," I aske
Chace's Point of View When Danielle challenged Justina, and Justina accepted the challenge, I was so worried. I knew Danielle was up to something. I wanted to rip her apart. I was worried she would hurt my Mate because Justina hadn't gotten her wolf yet. I could have demanded that Danielle and Justina didn't fight. Justina was my Mate, and Luna and Danielle had no right to challenge her, but I knew Justina was right. If she didn't fight Danielle, everyone would see her as weak. Many of the Pack Members already saw her as weak because she hadn't shifted yet. I knew how much that hurt her, knowing that people looked down on her. That is why I decided to let the fight go on, but I watched closely to make sure that Danielle didn't hurt Justina. When Danielle shifted into her wolf, I shifted as well, but before I could make my move to attack Danielle for trying to harm my Mate, Justina went into action. I was shocked when Justina broke Danielle's wolf's leg and caused her to shift back
Chace's POVAs soon as I walked into Daniells's hospital room, I could see the worry on her face. She knew I was upset and ready to punish her for challenging my Mate and her Luna. She would be punished, but not the way I wanted. I planned on banishing her from the Pack and turning her into a Rogue, but I had promised Justina that I wouldn't do that, and I planned on keeping my promise to her."Are you going to kill me?" Danielle asked worriedly"As good as that sounds to me after you tried to hurt my Mate, I can't do that. For some reason, Justina feels sorry for you even though you don't deserve her pity. I promised I wouldn't hurt you. That doesn't mean I am going to let you get away with challenging her and lying to her, saying we did more than kiss that night," I said"Are you going to banish me?" She asked"No, though that was my first choice. Justina doesn't want me to banish you either," I said, and a smile appeared on her face. "But as I said before, that doesn't mean you are
Justina's Point of View I listened to Chace's story without interrupting him. I was shocked at what he had told me, especially about his father. I never knew Alpha Mark was so evil. He seemed to care about the Pack and was always nice to me. I never would have guessed he was abusing Chace's mom and him. "Why would Alpha Mark mistreat you and your mom? He was always nice to everyone and took care of the Pack," I asked. "He cared for his Pack, but he hated being mated with my mom," Chace said "But they were Mates," I replied "They were not Fated Mates, Justina. They were chosen mates," Chace replied, shocking me. Then I thought about it. Normally when someone loses their Mate, they are very sad and don't want to be around anyone. The pain they feel from losing their Mate can kill them, or they can become crazy from losing their Mate, but Luna Greta seems fine. In fact, she seems to be happier than when Alpha Max was alive. "That is why she isn't hurting. They aren't fated, Mates,"
Justina's Point of ViewAs I left Chace's office, I couldn't stop thinking about what Chace had told me. The thing that hurt me the most was what he told me about Alpha Mark and my mom. Not only did they date before my mom met my dad, but Alpha Mark was behind my father's death. "Hey, Sweetheart. I was wondering where you went," My mom said as I walked down the hallway. "Hey," I said, not feeling like speaking to her. I was upset at my mom and Justin keeping everything away from me."Are you okay?" My mom asked"Yeah, mom. I am just tired. I am going to go to my room and rest. It's been a long day," I said"Okay, Sweetheart. I will check on you later," My mom said, and I headed to my room. "Justina, wait up," I heard Courtney say, and she walked over to me. "Are you okay? It seems like something is bothering you?" Courtney asked"Justina," Justin said and walked over to me as well. When he noticed my facial expression, she started to frown. "Chace told you, didn't he?" Justin asked
Chace's Point of ViewI watched as Justina left my office. I wanted to stop her, but I decided it would be better to let her have some time to herself. I had told her a lot and knew she needed time to think. I also knew I shouldn't have kissed her without her consent. I knew she was upset with me, and I needed to apologize to her. I decided I would apologize to her in the morning before school. Hopefully, she will let me take her to school tomorrow. I decided to keep myself busy and work on Pack Work. Since Justina had come home, I hadn't been working on it as much as I should have been. I called Alpha Tom, the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, because I had canceled my appointment with him a few days before. He wanted to talk to me about a treaty with our Packs. Alpha Tom and my father didn't get along for some reason. I picked up my phone, happy that he was willing to speak to me after I had canceled our meeting. We discussed a treaty, and I agreed to come to the Blood Moon Pack in tw
