Chapter Nine Nobody Knows

The pack must not know yet

When Chad and Caya arrived home they sat in their car for a minute thinking about if they should tell Cailee how her red wolf is rare. Then Chad turned to her and said we will not tell Cailee anything until we know what or how her Wolf came about. Alright, but you know she is going to find out eventually. You know I hate keeping secrets from our daughter. I know, but until we hear from the Elders we must not say a word of it to her. Then once we find out what this means then maybe we can talk about it.

They both went inside and we're happy to be home that they didn't even know that Cailee had eavesdropped on their conversation while still sitting in the car. Ahem, my parents opened their eyes and saw me standing there with facial expression somewhat sour. So, do you want to tell me what the Alpha said? Honey, it is best if we just keep this under wraps for now. We just don't know anything yet and we have to wait until we hear back from the Elders.

That is just great what am I supposed to do, you know I can't hide my wolf forever. No, sweetie we don't want you to do that. Maybe if you just let your wolf out when you come home from school after doing your homework. You have to understand that you having a red wolf is rare. So, what does that mean? I asked It means let's not be too hasty in showing off your red wolf just until we know more of what she or the both of you can do.

Ah ha, it just hit me why don't you show your wolf off to your closest friends instead and then at night maybe take a run through the forest. At least she will be happy running with the wind going through her fur. It give her a chance to stretch and your wolf will not go crazy. Actually I like that idea we don't want your pack getting scared of something they don't know about. Are you sure Elsa? I know how much you like to run during the day too. Yes, I know but this is for the safety of the pack and I don't want any of the pack members to fear me.

I went upstairs and mind linked my friends Cindy and Shay. Hey do you guys want to meet me before school tomorrow? Sure Cindy says I can come to your house before school. Shay what about you? Oh I'm sorry Cailee, but I will not be able to make it. I have some things I have to do before school starts. Well alright then Shay, I guess it is just me and you Cindy. What is this about anyway? Well you know I was supposed to get my wolf on my birthday right. Yes, wait don't tell me you didn't get your wolf. Oh no, I got my Wolf alright. The problem was that I didn't shift until sometime after midnight.

Okay so what is your wolf like? Well you will just have to see tomorrow. Once you see her you have to promise that you won't be afraid and to keep my wolf a secret. Okay I promise, but I'm excited to see your wolf and now I will be up all night excited or what could be so bad about your wolf.

The next day Cindy came over before school and before we even had breakfast I decided to show her my wolf. Alright are you ready? I asked her. Of course, I'm ready what is the big deal about your wolf anyway? Oh I don't know why don't you tell me. In that moment I went behind a tree took my clothes off and shifted into my wolf.

I came out and at that moment Cindy gasped. Oh my goodness Caya your wolf is beautiful. What is your name? My name is Elsa wide eyed you can speak. Yes, I can speak just like a normal person would. How do you expect me to speak through mind-linking well I can do that too. Is there anything else that you can do? Yes, but I can not reveal all just yet. I must go now and we will talk soon.

With that I went back behind the tree and shifted to my human form. Wow! Cindy said to me you have a red wolf. I know when I shifted for the first time I really wasn't expecting to have a red wolf. It seems I have been chosen by her for a reason. It does seem that way Cindy says. Now let's head on to school before we're late. Oh one more thing Cindy you can't let anybody know about my Wolf just yet. Why not? Well apparently having a red wolf is rare and the Alpha doesn't want it to get out yet. So promise me that you will keep this to yourself. Alright I promise to keep this secret to myself Cindy said. Good I say, if someone were to find out before the pack was told. It could probably be disastrous for me and the whole pack. We don't know who will be willing to go far just to gain my powers as well.

Well I don't think that anyone is going to know, since it hasn't been told by Alpha Israel. Hopefully we don't have a someone in the pack spying on you. I hope not either I say. Little did they know that their other friend Shay was spying on them. She had seen how Cailee had turned into the rare red wolf. But she didn't see her use her powers and wasn't sure if she had any. Well hopefully this will be a little something for Alpha Daniel she said. I must to do this if I want to keep my mate alive, even though I don't want to betray my own pack and best friend.
