Chapter Eight Luna's Depression

Once Sylvia was out of plain sight and carrying the little pup and she can no longer see them. That is when she started heading towards Alpha Israel and Luna Isabelle. On the way the pup was crying, there there now, you will see, it will do some good for Luna Isabelle to have a special child like you. You my dear child will not give the Alpha and Luna any problems will you. The pup just looked at her while sucking her thumb.

They were a few feet away from the pack house, before the guards stopped her. What is your purpose here witch? Please I need to speak with the Alpha and Luna. I have a gift for them which may help with the Luna's depressed state. The guard mind-linked the Alpha telling him that the witch Sylvia was here and had something for the Luna. Alright let her through the Alpha said, and stand guard outside the by the door in case anything happens. Yes Alpha, the guard took the witch to see the Alpha.

Once the guard arrived at the door to let Sylvia in soon the Alpha asked why are you here? Well Alpha Israel it seems that I may have solved the Luna's problem. I know that you two wanted more pups but she was having a terrible time conceiving after she had Cameron. Get on with it he says, well Alpha I have helped a she wolf give birth to her pups, but apparently they thought the other pup died because she had a the cord around her neck.

Even after I unraveled the cord she still did make a sound so we just assumed she died. The parents left before she even made a sound and when she did the parents were already too far away to hear her cry. Are you telling me that the parents didn't want her. No, no they thought that she was dead because the pup had the cord around it's neck and by the time I got the cord off she still wasn't crying so they assumed she had died. I told them that I will take care of the burial because they needed to take their other daughter home. So these members of the pack had twins? Yes, Alpha twin girls at that and they are fraternal twin girls.

Once the pup stirred though they were too far to hear me and so I figured that I would bring the pup to you and cheer up the Luna's spirits. As soon as Luna Isabelle saw the little pup in Sylvia's arms Luna asked may I hold her, of course Luna I brought her here just for you. Luna Isabelle gets a hold of her and cradles her in her arms just as the Luna smiles.

Oh Israel can we keep her she is just so beautiful. She looks at him with the most loving look in her eyes. Well we would have to talk to the Elders about adopting this precious little pup. Also, we would have to give her a name as well. I know said Luna Isabelle we will name her Katelynn Marie Johnson. That sounds like the perfect name for her he says. Then after that we will have the adoption ceremony and introduce her to the members of the pack. You will see as she gets older how special she truly will be. What do you mean by that witch? Alpha Israel asked her.

Oh no Alpha I didn't mean anything by it, but I have a feeling that she will have a great wolf once she shifts for the first time. Now I must go for I am getting tired the day has been long. I bid you adew Alpha Israel and Luna Isabelle and with that Sylvia bowed and left.

After a few weeks and talks with the Elders of the pack. They decided to have the adoption ceremony for Katelynn the following Saturday. It was fine to have it that Saturday as long as some of the warriors still did their duty and patrolled the land. Elder Aaron had officiated the ceremony.

We are he today to announce the adoption of Katelynn Marie Johnson who was found and placed in the hands of Alpha Israel and Luna Isabelle. Do you have a few words you two want to say to the pack? Elder Aaron asked.

I Alpha Israel promise to protect Katelynn as my daughter from any harm that may come to her outside this pack. She is the blessing that we have been looking for in our lives. I Luna Isabelle know that the pack has been worried about my depression of not being able to have more pups. But, this wonderful baby right here came into our lives at the exact time we needed her. As your Luna I promise to protect Katelynn as my daughter and no harm shall come to her from this day forward.

I Cameron Johnson as well will protect my sister Katelynn from any harm as well. Even when she is older I will protect her from any unmated males wolves as well. The pack just looks at him and laughs a little bit. Because he couldn't have been more than three years older than her. But he did possess this strong aura of an Alpha from his dad.

The pack claps and cheers for the Alpha and Luna. Now I present to the new member of the pack Katelynn Marie Johnson official pack member of the Love Moon Pack.

Once the initial ceremony was over, everyone couldn't help but get a glimpse of baby Katelynn. She was the most precious gift that the Moon Goddess could give them.

Then they all went about there merry little way to start enjoying the festivities of the adoption ceremony. Plenty of food, drinking and dancing. Katelynn was getting fussy due to being woken up early for the ceremony. Israel I'm going to put Katelynn to sleep in her crib. I will be back and we can continue with the celebration.

You know what I will come with you to help put her to sleep. Then we can have a celebration of our own. *wink wink. Oh my word Israel you are so bad. I'm only bad for you my lovely mate. Once they reached Katelynn's nursery Isabelle sat in the rocking chair and started to rock her, but she still was getting fussy. Oh you know what I need to make her bottle so she can take a nap.

Don't worry I will go ahead and make the bottle. Alpha Israel went downstairs to make the formula. Make sure that the bottle is not too hot or too cold Isabelle mind linked him. Yes, I know my dear Jenkins linked her as he was waiting for the water to warm up. He fixed the bottle tested it for the right temperature. Then headed back upstairs and as if on que before the Luna could mind link her mate again he walked in with the bottle in hand.

Well it took you long enough she said. Oh she is fine he said and gave Isabelle the bottle to feed her. Once the formula was in her mouth Katelynn drank it all up. The Luna burped her and then rocked her to sleep. When she was fully asleep and laid down in her crib. They both looked at her sleeping peacefully and then headed to their room.

When they both got to their room they continued the celebration until it was almost time for dinner and for Katelynn to wake up again. In the room the witch Sylvia was there looking over the baby. My dear little one when you are older you will find that you as well will have a wolf and a powerful one at that as well.
