"What is wrong with you?"

I flinched at Gabriel's voice - which brought me out of my thoughts.

I turned my head back to look at Gabriel, who was standing behind my back against the glass wall in the lift with his eyes looking down at me and demanding an answer. I shook my head, forcing a smile while my eyes filled with tears as if nothing happened.

Then I turned my head back while holding the files tighter and closer to my chest as if it could fight back those painful thoughts that I couldn't do. I lower my head with my closed eyes, trying to get rid of those thoughts, those words, and those looks.

I decided not to tell him about the incident that happened today in the lobby and do something that could hurt their work. Someone like me doesn't want to destroy their hard work....

No matter what Gabriel told me about them on that day, I am pretty sure they got into the position with their hard work.
