Emily’s POV

“There’s something about the Ripper that doesn’t seem right,”

Sandra looked at me. “And what is that?”

“I don’t know… but…”

“But you have to be extremely careful,” She advised. “You already have too many men in your life, believe me you don’t want to add the Ripper to the list.”

I chuckled. “How possible is that? The Ripper would never go for a wolf like me,”

She smiled. “Exactly, I researched about his Luna and I was stunned.”

“Yeah, I’ve also seen her and to be honest, she’s way out of my league. She’s super gorgeous and hot with so much skills and strength.”

Sandra sighed as she dropped her cellphone on her lap. “In other words, the Ripper’s pack defeats us in everything.”

“How so?”

She rolled her eyes. “Isn’t it quite obvious. The Ripper is way hotter and stronger than our Alpha and his Luna is more…everything than you.”

“I know about the latter one being true but I doubt that the Ripper is way hotter than Dexter.”

Mathilda’s POV The last customer just left and I slumped on one of the chairs in exhaustion. The past three months had been the most stressful months in my life. One would think that owning a diner in the heart of the town would be amazing but it wasn’t. Not at all. Of course we earned a good amount of money everyday but the negative effect it had on us was overwhelming. Mum had fallen really sick and had been hospitalized for about two months. Dad followed suit leaving only me and my younger brother, Jason to manage the diner. As for me, I hated the diner. Although it was a way for me to gain money for college, I still despised it mainly because of who we had gotten it from. In order for me to stay away from her daughter, Mrs. Austin had gifted me and my parents with a diner and my father had promised her that he’d never let me see Emily again. In other words, my friendship had been traded with an old little diner. I looked at

  • Alpha Blade   Late Night Adventure

Emily’s POV Sneaking out of the house had been quite easy as it wasn’t Mrs. Fabian at the gate but the old Mr. Jones who was fast asleep and didn’t even notice when I snuck out. The only part that was quite difficult was running past the guards lodge, knowing fully well that about ten security officials were there. But I managed to do that successfully without anyone of them noticing my presence. When I was much younger, my siblings called me ‘the fox’ due to my ability to run silently. By 11:00pm I was out of the wealthy residential area and was walking as fast as I could on the bad roads of downtown Haven. Unlike my side of town which was quiet and lonely at night, downtown Haven was still buzzing. Although I knew that everyone on the road and streets were either gangsters, ruffians, prostitutes or drug-pushers. I wasn’t scared at all because I knew that I couldn’t be hurt by anyone of them. Even when a couple of them approached me, all I had to do was

  • Alpha Blade   Where Is Susan??

Blade’s POVI spent the next ten minutes sitting on my couch, wondering why Emily had been with Dexter at the horsemen fountain, and although I knew there were about a hundred innocent reasons why, I still bothered myself until I decided to quit being jealous and overprotective and push it out of my mind. To my utmost shock, when I checked the hidden chamber in my pendulum clock, the necklace was missing and I was a hundred percent sure that it had been there. Could Susan had taken it? But why? Speaking of Susan, it was about three weeks since she left and I had offered her just a two-week leave. Susan wasn’t the type to disobey and even if she wanted to extend her leave i knew she would have called to inform either me or Dexter. Susan would have been a great help in finding my necklace, but since she wasn’t around, I had to find it myself. I checked my room again and after I had turned everywhere upside down, I stormed outside in annoyance and frustration.

  • Alpha Blade   An Oath of Vengeance

Blade’s POV It was getting dark now and I could see the early stars peeping out of the sky and I still wasn’t sure of my destination. I knew Susan lived at the other end of town after the green meadows. It was the only area which had not changed at all. There were still farm animals dung littered all over the ground and most of the houses were small bungalows with henhouses beside them. Susan had told me that their house was the biggest around here as it was the only storey building. Ten minutes later, the sputtering of my motorbike came to an end at the front of a brick building which had an upper floor. Beside the house was a ranch and at the other end of the yard was a little greenhouse. Behind the house was a black lake which had been barricaded with a short wooden fence. It was late now and most of the lights in the brick house were turned on which meant that someone was around. I didn’t know why but I felt hesitant to knock and request fo

BLADE FERGUSON I waited a while in the diner in order to calm my rising temper. It was still shocking to believe that Dexter was behind everything. Although I had always known that Dexter despised me more than anything in the world yet I never knew he was capable of such wickedness. Over the past six years, I had beared the guilt of killing my father who had been the best person I had ever known. The guilt had been what had driven me to flee my pack and seek for a new life elsewhere. It was no surprise that fate brought me back to Haven to reveal the truth and expose that bastard, Dexter. My phone buzzed in my hand and I looked down at it to see a text message . It was from Dexter. “I have your moonlight elixir.” I scoffed. That Bastard. I knew he was only playing parlor tricks with me. He had always been so deceitful but the thought of him killing our father out of jealousy still bugged me. It was twenty five minutes past eleven and I just re

  • Alpha Blade   Troubled Day

Emily’s POV“Are you okay?” I looked up and met the questioning eyes of both my parents. “Hmhm..” I replied with a slight nod and I resumed my thinking. Dad cleared his throat. “Emily, is anything the matter?” I shook my head. “Then why aren’t you eating?” Dad asked. “Since you woke up, you’ve been acting strange, are you sure you’re fine?” “Yes Dad.” I replied, slightly offended that they were interrupting my thoughts. I wiped my mouth and rose from the dining chair. “Thanks Mum… the brunch was amazing.” “How would you know that when you didn’t even taste it?” Mum was clearly annoyed. “I-I-I’m just uhm… I don’t have an appetite right now.” I turned around and headed upstairs. “And where are you going?” Mum inquired. “To my room,” I said as I marched up the staircases. “Hope you’re…” I didn’t bother to listen to the rest of what Mum had to say as I slammed my room door shut. Heaving a sigh of relief, I walked to my table and

  • Alpha Blade   The Big Reveal

Emily’s POVTheir voices became louder and although I couldn’t hear what they were saying, I could tell that they were having a heated argument. Dexter was mad and was throwing things at the Ripper who appeared to be the calmer of the two. I kept my eyes glued to the Ripper and I wished he could stare at me with those dark eyes of his like he had done at the party months ago. Dexter was yelling orders to his betas present and they began to encircle the Ripper. Harrison came from behind Dexter and handed a glistening bottle to Dexter. He rose the bottle up in the air and began talking in a harsh tone to the Ripper. Much to my surprise, Dexter smashed the bottle on the ground and the Ripper’s deep furious growl echoed in the dark. In sheer annoyance, he tried to grab Dexter but was prevented by the six betas who immediately blocked him from Dexter. I watched as the Ripper beat the living daylights out of the betas, flinging them in the air

  • Alpha Blade   Guilt

Blade’s POVI woke up panting and sweating profusely from head to toe. It had been over three months since I had dreamt of anything. No surprise that after such a long break, I would have a terrifying dream of being chased by my own wolf. The cold wind blew against my skin, sending chills down my spine. For the umpteenth time, I had slept on the bench outside Camila’s cottage. I stared at my phone and was astonished to see that it was five minutes past five in the morning. I couldn’t believe that I had been asleep for almost ten hours. Struggling to rise from the bench, I used my good hand to pick up my phone and the little journal beside me and then, I walked inside the cottage wincing from the arrow wound on my left shoulder. Going back inside turned out to be a bad decision as my skin reddened gradually due to the warmth of the house which wasn’t quite suitable for my extremely sensitive skin. I turned on the lights and saw Maia sleeping on the

  • Alpha Blade   Revelation

Blade’s POVI woke up groaning in pain as the first thing I felt was a twinge in the lower part of my back. Then the next bundle of pain came right after from my forehead and when I reached out to it, I felt a bandage around my head. The door opened and although my sight was quite blurry, I could still make out the image of Camila. She had a good scent and was in a different outfit which was a good sign that things were getting better. “See who’s awake,” She said, cheerfully as she walked over to the shutters and opened them. I winced as the morning light caught me unaware and sent bells ringing in my head. “Are you okay?” She worried. “Should I shut it?” “No, it’s okay,” I said as my eyes began to adjust to the light. “I’m alright.”“That’s good,” She said, dropping the tray she had in her hand by the side of the bed. “I got you your favorite breakfast.” “Thanks, Cam but… I don’t really feel like eating anything right now.” She agreed with me. “That’s

  • Alpha Blade   Speaking My Truth

Emily’s POVWith the assistance of Camila, I had gotten into a cab and was headed back home. After being threatened by Camila, the cab driver kept his lips shut and all his concern to himself but that didn’t stop him from looking at me from time to time through the rear mirror. Camila had managed to clean the deep cut in my stomach where Blade—or should I say Jordan, his wolf—had attacked me. She had even helped me put a bandage over it but it had done little in alleviating my pain. Although the cab driver couldn’t see my stomach cut, the scary bruises on my hands and neck were enough for anyone to be worried. It was already late and I was sure that my family would be eating dinner by now, wondering how unfortunate they were to have someone like me as a part of them. All that didn’t matter right now. What I wanted was the comfort of my bedroom, the solitude of my personal space and definitely some painkillers in my bathroom and a calm and peaceful sleep to forget about everyt

  • Alpha Blade   Emily & Camila

Blade’s Pov I was still a bit shocked by Emily’s entire countenance, I hadn’t expected her to be scared of leaving Haven. Apparently, I had been wrong for thinking that she didn’t have a strong tie to Haven. I was currently driving back to Camila’s cottage in Camila’s car. Emily had insisted to stay at the backseat which only proved that she was really annoyed with me for reasons I didn’t know of. From the rear mirror, I could see her looking outside through the rolled down window. Despite how gloomy and worried she appeared, she was still as charming and bewitching as always. Her sky blue eyes were dreamy and I wondered what she had on her mind, I wondered what could make the jovial and cheerful Emily have frown lines on her forehead. Maia was beside me, looking into her phone and scrolling uninterestedly through social media platforms. Although Maia wasn’t interested in things like that, I had insisted that she opened accounts on social media platforms to at lea

  • Alpha Blade   Three Questions

Emily’s POV “Pick up, pick up please,” I said, worriedly as I dialed Blade’s line repeatedly. “Come on… Please.” I was about five hundred meters away from the packhouse terrain, hiding under the canopy of a large shrub but I was still frightened. “Fuck!” I cursed, throwing the phone to the rough ground and watching it tumble before coming to rest on the wet root of an oak tree. Regretfully, I went over to the tree and picked my phone back up, wiping off the dirt and stain marks on it. Fortunately, it had only sustained a few cracks. Trembling from head to toe, I sat down with my back against the tough jagged bark of the tree, holding onto my phone like it was my only source of hope. I couldn’t remain here. I was certain that any minute from now, they’d find out that I was missing —that’s if they hadn’t found out already. I turned on my phone and then texted a message to Blade, telling him to meet me immediately at the coffee shop and that I had his necklac

  • Alpha Blade   A Nerve-Wrecking Day

Emily’s POVMy heart was pacing so fast that I could hear it over Mum and Dad’s discussion. I took in deep breaths, drank two full bottles of water, attempted to meditate but yet nothing seemed to calm me down. My hands still trembled and I couldn’t help the heaviness of my breath. We were at the packhouse already and my parents were talking to other senior werewolves. I jerked back, yelping in fright when my mother touched my arm, drawing me back to reality. “Are you okay?” Mum and Dad asked chorally with genuine concern. Other senior wolves didn’t look bothered at all as they all wore mean smirks and scowls on their faces, expressing their undisguised disdain towards me. They all knew me as a malicious and mischievous kid who never went by the rules and who was prone to crimes and other silly shenanigans. Although they never spoke their mind to my own hearing—probably because they were scared of offending Alpha Dexter—I knew about their ill opinions

  • Alpha Blade   Playing A Good Girl’s Role

Emily’s Pov My hands were shaking, my whole body was shivering and my breath was heavy and irregular. Unknown to me, I was gasping softly for air and the cab driver noticed it. “Are you alright, miss?” He asked, his eyes pinned on me through the rear mirror. “Yeah,” I nodded. “Can you breathe well or should I lower all the windows?” He asked, trying to help. “No, I’m alright.” I said with a cracked hazy voice, burying a sob underneath it. The cab driver was quiet for a while but I knew he still had something to say as his eyes met mine over and over again through the rear mirror. “That man that you were with,” He began. “What about him?” I asked. “Don’t mean to pry but… did he hurt you?” I was shocked by his question and he mistook my silence for a sign that I had been hurt. His hands went to his cellphone. “If he did, I can call the police. They might still be able to get him before…” “What makes you think that he hurt me?” I asked,

  • Alpha Blade   Trust??

Blade’s POVI knew that I should probably trust her but I couldn’t. Something about the whole story seemed off but I just couldn’t point out to what it was. So, I kissed her cold cheeks, her forehead and then her trembling lips before telling her goodnight. I felt very uneasy with everything she did. From the way her eyes lowered to how frequently she forced a smile and nodded her head in anxiety, I couldn’t help but wonder what was wrong. What was she lying to me about? What was she trying to hide from me? In spite of my worries, I kept my thoughts to myself and watched her carefully as she got into a cab and disappeared from my sight. I don’t know how long I stood there, motionless, looking at the spot she had been standing and replaying all her awkward actions and strange behaviors she had displayed this evening. I remained there until the old hands of the coffee granny gripped my shoulders, knocking me out of my thoughts. “Why are you standing here like a

  • Alpha Blade   Necessary Lies

Emily’s POV I walked out of the coffee shop after saying goodnight to the old lady. The time on my phone said ten minutes to eight and I knew that I was in real trouble as dinner time was by eight and there was no way that I could make it back on time. Blade was still talking to the old lady who appeared to be annoyed for reasons I had no idea of but that wasn’t even bothering me as I couldn’t get the thought of losing Blade out of my mind. The fear of it made me quite unsettled but it also gave me more determination to steal the necklace from Dexter. I looked up at the night sky and i made a silent prayer to the moon goddess. For the first time in my life, I had found someone that I could trust and confide in, someone whom I couldn’t let go of and I didn’t want to lose him. From behind, Blade wrapped his arms around me and looked up at the sky. “What are you doing?” “Staring at the stars,” I replied, unwilling to tell him that I was actually praying for

  • Alpha Blade   The Discussion

Emily’s PovI was so happy, relieved and excited and I couldn’t believe how today had taken a shocking turn from a livingnightmare to the best daydream ever. According to Blade, Mathilda was fine and was receiving treatments at the hospital which was a huge relief to my burdened mind but what actually pleased me the most was the fact that Blade was innocent of all the charges that had been placed on him. At least he had said that he hadn’t done them and I couldn’t doubt him because of how much I loved him. “Today is literally the best day of my life, everything has turned out perfectly. It seems too good to be true.” I said with extreme delight. “Mathilda’s fine and we’re also fine.” I saw something in his facial expression which drew my attention. The moment I had mentioned about us being fine, a sad look wafted through his entire face. “Why are you with that long face?” I asked. He smiled faintly. “Well, you’re right. We are fine, at least for now.”“What do you
