5 - Gamma Gabe

I stand behind my Alpha as she goes over everything with the supervisor and the engineer while Alpha Christov is nearly drooling over her.  She's quick to ensure that these men do not take her lightly and stands her ground as she goes over each detail that she wants changed her way.  I bite my lower lip so I don't laugh as she schools the older men in their chosen fields, she may be young but your the fool if you underestimate her.  I walk behind her as we exit the small site trailer, and she removes her jacket, I snicker as I see Alpha Christov adjust his apparent hardon and a few of the construction workers eye her up and down and he notices.  She sighs, “fucking buns don’t stay up,” she hands me her jacket and now I walk at her side as she pulls her hair back up to put it back in a bun and that’s when I hear a growl.  She spins and I shout, “Fuck!  Alpha NO.” 

I watch as she freezes in her spot, their eyes are locked to each other’s and I hear her groan, “ah fuck.”

His thick Russian accent whispers softly to her, “anytime you want little dove, I’m willing and very capable,” he smiles widely at her.

She steps back from him and crosses her arms over her chest, wearing her stoic mask, “never going to happen Alpha Christov and my name is Alpha Abigail,” She looks at me, “Gamma let’s go, I have an appointment that I won’t miss.”

She turns to leave when his hand clamps on her wrist and spins her around, I growl and narrow my eyes at Alpha Christov and his chest is heaving as if he’s run a marathon.  She tilts hers head to him and arches her brow, “I suggest not touching me without my consent and I haven’t given it to you,” she tugs her arm free of him with ease and he arches his brows in disbelief.  She turns and walks with purpose to our vehicle, I open the passenger door and she gets in and I slam it shut.

I run to the driver’s side and slide in, “sorry Alpha, I didn’t think you would turn around, I mean you knew he was behind you."

She sighs, “instinct kicked in, the growl and my back was exposed,” She shakes her head, “fuck, fuck, fuck it all,” she shouts out as I drive us out of the parking lot.

I look at her as I drive and her fingers pinch the bridge of her nose, “this isn’t good, I have 5 weeks till the next full moon and then I’m literally fucked.”

I shake my head, “I’m sorry Alpha, I tried, but I…”

She cuts me off, “it’s not your fault Gabe, I should have just rejected him, now this is a mess, there’s no way we will be able to find which one is the head piece of shit before I go into heat, so I’ll have to reject him or suffer the consequences.”

She stares out the window, and softly giggles, “I wonder how many big bad Alpha’s need their Momma’s advice?”  She shakes her head and then leans it back on the headrest.

I smile, “if they had Luna Charlie as a Momma, all of them would.”

She side eyes me with a wide smile on her face, “you’re right they would, she is bad ass and been through hell a couple of times.”

I nod, “I’m sure she’ll know how you can handle your heat without actually having to be near Alpha Christov, I mean I remember stories about her and when she first arrived at the pack, I was just a kid, but I remember some things.”

She looks at me, “really, what do you remember, I thought you guys weren’t around her much until me?”

I laugh, “oh, we we’re around just not in plain view, Uncle wasn’t the most pleasant to be around before her, he was a big grouch, then Luna Charlie came and our lives became, well more fun, the pack house became somewhere we wanted to be.” 

She sits up and tilts her head, “my Dad was a grouch, no you have to be mistaken,” she laughs, “he loves having fun and joking around.”

I shake my head, “not till your Momma he didn’t, she changed him Alpha, his whole personality switched and I agree the Alpha Braddock you know is amazing, fun loving and really easy to be around, but the one before Luna Charlie, not so much.”

She sits back and hums, “hmm, so do you think the bond had something to do with it?   I mean Momma is the sweetest and has a great sense of humor, but do you think the bond changed my Dad or was it my Momma?”

I shake my head, “don’t know and won’t till the bond hits me and I feel the change,” I cock a brow to her, “what did it feel like?”

She looks at me blinking and shakes her head, “Gabe I do love you and you are one of my best friends, but,” she turns her head towards the side window, “it’s not something you can actually describe to someone, it’s too intimate to share with anyone but who you have the bond with.”  She goes silent for the rest of the ride back and I leave the conversation alone.  I turn on the radio and check on her visually every few minutes, but she’s not moving nor looking anywhere but out the side window in deep thought.

As soon as we pass the front gate, I clear my throat, “so you have an appointment you can’t miss, where are we heading?”

She creases her brows at me and laughs, “home I need my Mommy.”

I bust out laughing and nod, “I promise I won’t tell anyone you just said that, but I understand why.”

I pull into the pack house parking area and as I run over to her side to open the door, the kitchen door opens and Luna Charlie steps out and rushes over to the car.  I watch as My Alpha gets out and they embrace each other in a tight hug, Luna Charlie winks at me and walks with my Alpha to the garden.  I know my Alpha is strong but finding your fated mate is something we all want and for her to have found hers and not be able to act on it the way we all would is heartbreaking.
