 Stephanie's Perspective

We were all back to school, Bert and my best friend, Candice, picked me up.

''Good morning,'' Bert said as I fastened my seatbelt. I sat on the front while Candice was on the back seat, giggling, and couldn't believe that I and Bert were dating each other. I never expected it too, it just happened that my prayer got its answer.

As we headed to the school, we saw Elijah's car parked next to us, and when I got down the car, he happened to get out as well and we were facing each other at the moment. He was wearing his uniform, cute. I smiled at him and I was going to greet him but he just looked at me and walked out like he didn't see me at all. Like what the heck was his problem? We never saw each other in days and he would just act like that?

''Babe, let's go?'' Bert called me and his twin sister teased us for calling me babe all of a sudden, well that became our call sign. Hahaha.

After school, Bert was busy with other stuff, well as a class president must be hard and lots of responsibilities. I waited for him at the car park and Elijah came, and he does it again. He just looked at me in a short period of time and got his keys in his pocket. Before he could get in the car and drove him as if he didn't see me again, I shut his door and glared at him. 

''Stephanie, not now,'' he frowned and I sharpened my eyes at him, reading his eyes if he wasn't acting like he was exhausted.

''Wow, you looked tired, what's the matter?'' I asked and he just looked at me and begging me to get off my hands on his car but I didn't.

''Not going to happen,'' I teased and he kept telling me to remove it, I want to make him angry and play with him a bit more but when he gave me a sincere sad eye, my heart skipped and then I removed my hand on his car. I got worried and asked him if he got a problem but he said he was just not feeling well. I held his forehead but he instantly removed it, so I started to doubt him.

''Are you avoiding me?" I asked and he just stared at me and went inside his car. I don't know what happened but I just let him go and turned my back at him and just wait for Bert to come. But then, few seconds after I faced my back to Elijah, someone just slid his hands around my waist from the back and hugged me tightly.

I giggled, '' Bert, you startled me,'' I said.

''Stupid, are you two dating now?"

I face Elijah immediately and widened my eyes at him. ''I thought you went home?'' I asked and he just asked me that why didn't I told him that I and Bert were starting dating, he even asked me when did it started, he kept asking questions continuously that I couldn't explain.

''Elijah,'' I sighed and he stopped talking.

''Okay, tell me,'' he said.

''I am going to tell you but you seemed not in the mood,'' I explained.

And I didn't expect his reaction.

''Stephanie, you're my fiance, how can you cheat on me?'' he asked and I was speechless.

''Elijah, it was only a fixed marriage, also, it was not final yet, it's still my decision,'' I responded. He didn't say a word, instead, he hugged me and I was about to push him but he hugged me tighter.

''Don't ever dare push me,'' he said, wow, he read my mind.

I rolled my eyes and asked him what he was doing and then he looked at me, but still hugging me.

He was smiling while he was only frowning later ago, ''I missed you,'' he said sincerely that I could feel like he meant it. He always confused me, he was just unhappy and now smiling and telling me those words.

''Gosh, Elijah, quit playing with me, I know you're my Fiance but quit going with the flow, okay? So get your hands off me now,'' I said and he was tongueless as he slowly removed his hands around me.

''Okay, fine. You're right, I'm just going with the flow but since you have a boyfriend I'll stop,'' he said and poke me on the head and laughed. ''It was nice playing with you,'' he said and waved goodbye.

''Idiot!'' I shouted and he just laughed and honked his car too loud. Stupid, I knew it, how could he play like that. Haist Elijah, you never changed, I sighed.

''Babe,'' shouted Bert and he was sweating so I took my handkerchief and wipe his face.

''You must be tired,'' I said and he nodded his head and frowned, my heart tickled, this guy is now my boyfriend, gosh I love it. It was still felt like a dream come true.

Bert held my hand and kissed it. ''Thank you,'' he said and I just smiled, keeping my composure, I didn't want to space out right in front of him, it's awkward. I didn't expect that he would be this clingy to me, he doesn't look like that kind of a guy, but I was wrong, he just looked like a guy who only cared about books and studies but being his girlfriend was like heaven, after all, he was sweet and nice to me.
