76. The Plan Of The Revenge!

Marona's POV 

That night I was drunk but remembered his touch, but it became more special when I saw his note. 

It had his name. Leo! I was blooming with happiness because taking admission in Delgado's campus was one of the reasons to get closer to the search of Leo. The guard outside told me that he had seen only Laurence around this area, only he came there. 

I hurriedly got ready and went out in search of him. I asked everyone and found out that there are three Delgado brothers on campus. Rafael, Mikhail and Laurence. I did more research and found out that there are more brothers but I had written down only these three names so Leo must be one of them. 

I did projects with Rafael and was sure that he can never be Leo because that guy was completely different. 

Then I noticed Laurence, he had a positive aura. Taking part in social activities and socializing. He was a nice guy and I felt those Leo's vibes in him because Leo once told me that he will never hurt anyone like he was hurt by his father and Laurence never showed the arrogance of his power. 

I didn't know that he was faking it. 

And then I saw Mikhail, the friend about whom I had completely forgotten. I forgot to write about him in my diary and hence there was no reminder about him. I saw him near dead body like he was admiring his psychotic work, I got the deja vu of Ivan then how could I believe that he is Leo.

He was out of the list after that incident and completely blocked out after whatever happened in the warehouse because as much as I know Leo, he would never do that. 

Laurence was the only safe option and he had also agreed that it was him who was with me that night. Then there were no doubts, his image was pure in front of me. 

Many times I tried to recall our past with Laurence but he always gave me excuses and got out of it. Maybe he knew that I'll catch his lies. 

Still life was peaceful with him, no drama and nothing. Still there was a suffocation. 

The only desire I had that time was, Laurence should love me. The way I love Leo, the way I am crazy for him and I did everything to earn his love. I became the person I wasn't, killed my own desires and wishes to impress him so he could love me. 

I know it sounds desperate but wasn't I looking for attention my whole life? That's the only thing I wanted. 

I was sure that Laurence is Leo and one day I'll take him back to our places where he can find out that I am Devi and Mallika. 

I wanted to see his reaction, I wanted to see if he still remembers me, if I held the same special place in his life the way he is special to me. 

I had planned everything but then Mikhail entered the story again. I don't know why but even after hating that man, my heart and brain always gave me weird signals when he was around. 

That night when Laurence was laying dead in the club, someone whistled that tribal tune and I was sure that he had killed Laurence because that song was actually acceptance of the murder. That night it clicked in my mind that Leo might be someone else because only he has turned that song into a whistle because lyrics were confusing for him to remember. 

But still I shook those thoughts aside thinking maybe I am over thinking. How is it difficult for anyone to copy that whistle after hearing from anyone? 

Yet my doubts were getting sharper but I was tired by that time. As always destiny had snatched my home once again and threw me in front of vultures. I was convinced that I don't have love and peace in my life and I should give up now. 

All my hopes and courage were crushed brutally again. 

I just wanted to get out of that hell anyhow and Damon was the only safe option. He would have let me go on my way if I had requested him after marriage but again Mikhail manipulated the situation and married me. 

The priority at that time was to save my life. I didn't know what was going to come ahead but I was sure that I can definitely find my way out, if I can't get out after learning so many lessons then what's the use. I would be dumb. 

I got married to Mikhail and his touch felt the same as our first night. When he touched me by that window, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me but whenever he touched me, the feeling got stronger. 

I was scared. Scared that if Mikhail anyhow came out as Leo then what would I do. It means I failed to recognise the person and I could never forgive myself for that. 

I suppressed my doubts because I was afraid to face the outcomes but still I found out. I saw Mikhail's handwriting in the closet and it was the same handwriting which was in my note which I had found on my mirror after our first night. 

That's the reason why Laurence never wrote any notes for me because he knew that I'll recognise his handwriting. 

And at the same time Mikhail came inside while whistling that same tune, my world was shaken. 

The fear came to reality, he was Leo and I failed to recognise him. The guilt was eating me from inside. How can I mistake him as someone else. 

But I was assuring myself that it's okay, I didn't remember most of the things. I had a genuine problem but what about Leo, why he never tried to approach me when he clearly knew that I am the one with whom he had slept. Why did he let his brother marry me and then kill him so he can marry me?

I thought he must have tried to find Devi and Mallika but then I heard him talking to their illusions and realised that they don't even matter to him. He is trying to run away from them. 

He is requesting them to go away. 

Why? Didn't they matter to him the same way he mattered to me. How can he just ask them to go away? 

I was heartbroken. It felt like the man I was searching for my whole life doesn't even want me. I suffered so much to find him and he doesn't even care. He simply gave up. 

I was furious and decided to make him regret it. He will regret abandoning me. He will try to find me, I'll be in front of him and still he won't be able to see me. 

I'll make him struggle the way I did. 

For that I wanted him to get close to Devi and Mallika again. I had to plan something but it was difficult because he was keeping close eyes on me. 

I knew that he would find me whenever I went, so I planned accordingly. Why not involve him in a revenge plan when he is capable? 

I just had to get out of the house anyhow because then I knew that he would follow me. I succeeded in running away and I deliberately chose hotel Hywala for my stay because I wanted Mikhail to come there. 

I purposely took the same room where Issac and my Mom were murdered, to remind myself that there is no going back now. I had all the links in my hands, now I just had to join them and destroy everyone who had hurt me and my parents. 

I knew that letters would be safe in the hotel, it was risky to keep them with me because Mikhail had found out. So I buried my Mom's love letters under that bed. It had a saga of Issac and her love. 

It wasn't going anywhere because I knew that the hotel was going to turn into an abandoned place soon, and then I would have hid it somewhere else. 

Now I was just waiting for Mikhail. So he can come and kill those three people who hurt me and helped Ivan in murders. 

I knew that if they misbehaved with me then Mikhail will kill them and that's why I purposely angered him in the room before running away from him so he could kill them in anger. 

I always wanted to kill those hotel owners but before I was a normal girl and I might have got myself into trouble, now I was a mafia wife and Mikhail would have definitely found out if I myself would have killed them so I used him. 

And as per my plan, Mikhail killed them. One part of my plan was executed and it was time for the second part. 

I somehow wanted him to reach the tribal area so he can try to find Mallika. He was avoiding it but I wanted him to go there and try to find out about her but I failed. 

He caught me before boarding the train and I had to drop it. 

But I wasn't going to give up. I was going to make him find them at any cost and for that I planned another escape.
