Chapter 6

After Dinner once the girls were at Brittany's house they continued to bond over common interests.

Both the girls had lost their fathers but Brittany's father, Robert was actually shot while he was at work.

Someone mistook him for someone else and shot him. Once they realized they had the wrong person they called 911, made an anonymous report and ran off. Unfortunately Robert was already gone by the time anyone got to him.

Brittany's mother Loral was very kind. She told Allison to make herself feel at home and that she was welcome over any time.

Loral was a Nurse at the local hospital and worked Nights so as soon as she got the girls and Brittan's brother Jase settled with snacks and a movie she headed off to work.

The girls stayed up talking and sharing memories until 1am.

The next day as they were getting ready to go to the ski resort Allison got an angry text from her mom telling her she wanted her home within 30 minutes.

After 10 minutes and not getting a response from Allison, Erika started calling her daughter nonstop.

Allison ended up turning off her phone and going to the ski resort anyway knowing her mother wouldn't know where she had gone.

She knew she would be in a lot of trouble later but decided not to focus on that right now.

On the way to the resort Brittany could tell something was wrong. Allison told Brittany and Loral everything that had been going on over the last few years with her mother.

Brittany already knew most of the situation from their talk last night but Loral was horrified to hear everything Allison said.

Loral told Allison she was welcome to stay the whole weekend at their house if she wanted.

Once at the resort the girls met up with the others and started snow tubing and having fun.

after a while they stopped to get some lunch and hot chocolate. Even though it never made much sense to Allison's her mom never let her have chocolate because she wanted her to stay thin and not over eat sweets.

Today though Allison didn't really care what her mother's rules were. She was there to have fun and she wasn't going to worry about her mother right now.

After the kids got warmed up they decided to go Skiing. Allison had never been skiing before and she was nervous.

Jensen smiled and held out his hand. Allison hesitated but nervously took it.

Jensen helped Allison get set up but she was too nervous to move.

Allison apologized to Jensen and admitted that she wasn't ready to try out skiing.

Jensen chuckled and helped her get everything back off. The truth was he didn't mind. He just wanted to spend more time with Allison alone.

After hours of fun Jensen invited everyone over to his house.

Allison knew it probably wasn't a good idea to go since her mom didn't really like him or his family but she didn't care today and what her mother didn't know wouldn't hurt her.
