Both the girls had lost their fathers but Brittany's father, Robert was actually shot while he was at work.Someone mistook him for someone else and shot him. Once they realized they had the wrong person they called 911, made an anonymous report and ran off. Unfortunately Robert was already gone by the time anyone got to him.Brittany's mother Loral was very kind. She told Allison to make herself feel at home and that she was welcome over any time.Loral was a Nurse at the local hospital and worked Nights so as soon as she got the girls and Brittan's brother Jase settled with snacks and a movie she headed off to work.The girls stayed up talking and sharing memories until 1am.The next day as they were getting ready to go to the ski resort Allison got an angry text from her mom telling her she wanted her home within 30 minutes.After 10 minutes and not getting a response from Allison, Erika started calling her daughter nonstop.Allison ended up turning off her phone and going to the ski resort anyway knowing her mother wouldn't know where she had gone.She knew she would be in a lot of trouble later but decided not to focus on that right now.On the way to the resort Brittany could tell something was wrong. Allison told Brittany and Loral everything that had been going on over the last few years with her mother.Brittany already knew most of the situation from their talk last night but Loral was horrified to hear everything Allison said.Loral told Allison she was welcome to stay the whole weekend at their house if she wanted.Once at the resort the girls met up with the others and started snow tubing and having fun.after a while they stopped to get some lunch and hot chocolate. Even though it never made much sense to Allison's her mom never let her have chocolate because she wanted her to stay thin and not over eat sweets.Today though Allison didn't really care what her mother's rules were. She was there to have fun and she wasn't going to worry about her mother right now.After the kids got warmed up they decided to go Skiing. Allison had never been skiing before and she was nervous.Jensen smiled and held out his hand. Once everyone arrived at Jensen's house they all went downstairs into the finished basement to play pool and watch movies. Allison was starting to feel sick after being in the cold so long so Jensen offered to take her home or let her lay down and rest in their guest bedroom. Allison walked into her mom's house. Erika and Officer Kieth were sitting at the kitchen table with pictures of Allison on the table. Her mom had clearly been crying. Allison asked what was going on and Officer Kieth stood up and started heavily walking towards her. Officer Kieth spoke loudly and it startled Allison at first. "Where have you been? your mother has been worried sick about you! She called me over last night and we were just getting ready to leave and go to the station to file a missing persons report. you have a lot of explaining to do to your mother young lady. it was irresponsible turning off your phone and ignoring her the way you did." The ride home was long and seemed to drag by. The restaurant they went to was 2 hours away but the view was worth it. Allison started drifting off to sleep in the back seat. She had a Dream about Jensen. He was dating a very pretty girl. She had strawberry blonde hair and dark brown eyes. They seemed to be arguing about something but Allison didn't know what. she remember Jensen calling out the girls name, Hailey. It had been two full months since her Mother had left to go to Main. Allison had no idea what the real reason was. She assumed it was to get away from the current situation with Kieth and Fostering. occasionally she would get a text from her mom asking how Bentley and Kieth were, she never asked how Allison was. Allison always tried to keep her texts with her mom short and simple. Most of the time she just said they were fine and Bentley was growing fast and other times she said Kieth misses her and she would ask when her mother was coming home. Jensen wasn't happy about not being able to find out what was wrong with Allison and be comforting to her but they listened to the police and got in their car to wait for an explanation. Once the police Entered the Grey's home they noticed that there were no adults there to greet them and it appeared there hadn't been any adults in the home for several weeks. They questioned Allison and they were disappointed when they learned their friend Officer Kieth left two underage children home alone one being a teenager left to take care of a baby. The police called DFPS to come take the baby. technically Allison was old enough to stay home by herself so they couldn't take her without her permission as well and since the bills were being paid and a card was left behind to get food and necessities Allison wasn't abandoned and left with nothing. Once at Jensen's house Everyone was very friendly with Allison. Allison sat at the table with the other children. Her plate was full of homemade mashed potatoes, corn grown from the browns garden, a perfectly cooked steak from one of their bulls that they had slaughtered, Homemade macaroni and cheese and a glass of milk from their own cows.
