Chapter V

I didn’t know what to respond but minutes later, I found myself inside his car. It took us about an hour to reach the studio. 

Everyone were wide eyed as we entered the studio.

“The perfect couple is here!” the director, Laema addressed us. 

The brute beside me laugh and I had to pinch his sides to stop him. 

I didn’t pay attention much to the people around us uttering how sweet is ‘my boyfriend’. 

The glam team casts their magic on me for about hours. I had to fit into the outfits they prepared for me. 

There is a biker shorts, pin heels, a hoodie that matches the shorts color and a matrix style cardigan as a first one which my hair was styled in a messy bun. 

I had to pose on the camera for about minutes. 

“That’s it, Isla!”

“Get it girl!”

“Ang ganda ng girlfriend mo, Kade!”

“Such a beauty!”

“Perfect!”

“Great pose!”

“You are really born for this!”

Lunch time came and Kade, as my ‘ever-oh-so-loving-boyfriend’, treated us foods. 

“Salad or pizza?” and I choose the latter. It’s my cheat day. There is no such thing for me in this profession but I have proclaimed some days as cheat days. I can also purge that’s why I’m okay with eating a lot or eat junk foods. 

And now, I am wearing a denim jumper and a knee-length boots. My hair is curled in the ends. I didn’t wear any top as it was really how the outfit should be. 

They just covered my tits with a nipple tape. 

“Sorry, Kade. This is purely work. You can’t make us change her outfit. By the way, she looks hot!” Laema exclaimed. 

I did my best not to be affected by Kade’s stares, but boy! It made me flustered as he caught me staring at him then gave back a smirk. 

“That’s perfect!”

“Yes!”

“Go girl!”

“And that’s a wrap, people!”

I dressed up again to another outfit that the team gave. They said it was an appreciation gift to me. It was a white boyfriend tee with an art on the middle, ripped denim jeans and comfy customized sneakers that seems to pair with the shirt. I tied my hair in a ponytail. 

Went out of the dressing room to find them smiling widely. 

“Kade’s already at the parking lot. Good luck!” then plastered two thumbs up. 

I entered the elevator then the people inside are also smiling widely plus some are even holding back their squeals. 

I didn’t pay attention to them and went out in the parking lot.

I found Kade’s car and entered it. 

He immediately drives away from the studio. It’s now near evening.

“Want to dine in with me?” he asked.

Before I could answer, my stomach grumbled.

“S-Sure.” I answered shyly.

 Embarrassed because of what situation my hungry self, had me in. 

He parked after twenty minutes. It was University of Foods restaurant. 

Before I could exit the car, flashes of cameras interfered with my vision.

Thankfully, the guards of the restaurant help us with those paparazzi’s.

“What do you want to eat?” he handed me the menu. 

“I’m not kind of familiar with the foods here. So, I’ll let you choose.” I answered.

He just talked and talked and talked. When the foods arrived, they were a lot! As in a lot! I think he ordered every single food on the menu.

“This is too much. Don’t you think!”

“Nah. I want to spoil my girlfriend.”

“About that. Won’t your ‘real’ girlfriend be mad?”

He laughed.

“Are you mad?”

“No. Why?” then realization suddenly dawned upon me which made me smacked his arms.

“Hey, ouch!”

I frowned. He then got a spoon with rice and a piece of meat on top of it. 

“Open your mouth, here comes the train. Chu! Chu!” I accepted the food but still frowning.

“My baby is having her tantrums.” he commented.

The whole dinner was spent with his feeding me, my frowning face and me also feeding him. It was all good and fun.

“Good night, my girlfriend.”

“Good night.”

“You’re free tomorrow?” I nodded.

“I’ll come fetch you then. See you!”

“Sure. See you!” I closed the door then covered my face and started squealing.

I run like crazy around the house without any footwear, still in my shirt, hoodie and jeans.

I got a call just right before I close my eyes.

“Hey.”

“Hey.”

“I called to say good night.”

“Good night.”

“Sweet dreams, my girlfriend.” Then the call ended. 

I close my eyes with my heart ramming inside my chest, my system not working properly but a smile on my lips is present. 

We had our road trip the next day. 

Kiss You blasted on the speakers.

“Don’t you miss being in a group?”

“It was our mutual decision to separate ways but we still remain good friends.”

“I just heard one song of your group.”

“What was it?”

“What makes you beautiful.”

He showed me a smile then played the song on the speakers. 

*Baby, you light up my world like nobody else

The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed.

The way you smile at the crowd

It ain’t hard to tell, you don’t know

We sang together. He brought a different car. It was a convertible. He opened the roof then with my hair dancing with the wind, I just sang my heart out. Not caring about if I am in the tune or not. 

Kade and I planned to stop to eat at a restaurant which offers adorable dogs to be with. 

I love dogs so much that back when I was six years old, I forced my mom to let me have a Shi Tzu. The dog which I named Bentley, died because of being seriously injured. I didn’t know that he was hit by a car because I was at a camp that time. I just had the news when I came back. Mom decided to bury him at a dog cemetery near our home.

We ordered our foods.

“This is my treat, baby.” I tried refusing but never won in the end. 

 Among all the dogs there, the corgi stood out. He was like smiling at me. His face expressions were very amusing. I had my stomach filled with good food plus I had to bond with dogs. 

I didn’t have another dog than Bentley since I have been too occupied with work that I couldn’t attend to its needs. I live alone so no one would look after him. 

We once again rocked the road but stopped at the beach nearing sunset.

“You know my boyfriend, I really had fun.”

“Me too, my girlfriend.” 

Kade put his jacket on the sandy shore and it served as our seat. 

The sky is now turning orange. 

Kade and I look in each other’s eyes for too long and the next thing was, our lips accompanied each other.
