Hajin— the life force of god that is present all around the planet. It is found in the oxygen that we breathe, the minerals found on the earth, and it is sensitive to thoughts and emotions that they can blend into them.

Sliver of god— A part of god's power that he gave to alchemists when he was dying. Every thousand years, a god dies and it has to choose another person to pass his power. However, the current god, Croven, saw this as a distasteful, ineffective, and lonely job. So he decided to divide his power to the wise people whom he trusted, who would later become the Alchemists.

Lifesphere— an aura that surrounds the body of a person that consists of the soul, mind, emotion, and hajin. The bigger the Lifesphere, the more control the person has on the environment.

Types of Alchemy

Wheezer— A name for people who practice a rare type of Alchemy that uses breath to provide strength, or to temporarily control others such as animals, wind, trees, stone, etc. The bigger objects they control means more breathes needed.

Wheezers can also control the temperature of their body, and can even breathe fire using specific breathing techniques. Too much breathing can make them unconscious. However, if mastered, they can blend to their Lifesphere and turn the wheezer temporarily into wind, although only few of them have successfully done it.

Tippler— An alchemist who drinks water and converts it into fuel for strength and speed. They can also release this fuel through the pores in their skin to create a fog around them.

Tipplers can also spit poison by mixing elements from their digestive system and spit it on their enemy. Too much drinking can turn the user temporarily into water though it has some risk of not getting back to shape again.

Gobbler— eats fruit, veges, and other food that grows directly from the earth and uses it to manipulate body size and strength. It can also be used as body hardening for defense.

Coverscout— An alchemist that transmutes fear to speed.

Stormbringer— An alchemist that transmutes stress to electricity.

Avenger— An alchemist that transmutes pain to healing and strength. It can also be used to punish anyone who has caused them pain, cursing them.

Scorchers— An alchemist that transmutes anger to flame.

Optimist— An alchemist that transmutes joy to health, and luck.

Reaper— A rare type of Alchemist that breathes/ absorbs life for healing, and strength. They can also use it to temporarily copy the power or skill of someone they had killed.

Werewolves— An alchemist who eats flesh for strength, speed and increasing size. They are human, although they can transform into half wolf when eating flesh.

Vampire— An alchemist who drinks blood and uses it for regeneration, strength, shape-shifting, and immortality. They are weak during the day, because they have sensitive skin.

Jokers— An alchemist that sucks other people's joy and uses them to create temporary illusions. They usually make jokes, and when people laugh, they absorb their energy.

Haunters— An alchemist feeding on other people's fear and using it to scare enemies. Sometimes, they can use it to cast spooky illusions.

Provokers— An alchemist that absorbs anger— either from a person, or an animal— and uses it to steal other people's strength, or temporarily copy their powers.

Scourger— An alchemist that absorbs others' pain and uses it to heal and strengthen themselves.

Seekers— An alchemist numbs their body in order to focus their senses outward. Doing so grants them the ability to sense other people's emotion, and anyone that transmutes Hajin, or does alchemical activity. Most of them were promoted to higher ranks, leading scouting parties, or captive interrogation.
