HADES POV

It was like I am being screwed by a thunderbolt. I don’t know…

"I’m sorry your majesty, I must be mishearing words just now. What did you just say?" was my answer clearly doubting the words I just heard.

"I said I want you to marry the girl who took care of me when I was away." The Queen repeated her words, this time it was more firm, loud, and clear, enough for her grandson to hear.

"And why would I do that?? I mean, where is this stupid idea coming from?" He asked annoyed.

"Because that stupid idea was mine! And that either is an order from a Queen or a request from your grandmother! You can choose yourself. Anyways you can’t do anything about it, I decided that since long time ago. It’s final."

"But grandma, no..."

"I’m the Queen"

"I know you’re the Queen, but you’re also my grandmother. You can’t be doing this to me! I have a life to live too!!!"

"Marry her."

"Please, your majesty... Set me free. Marrying someone I never met even once in my life is such a rude, ridiculous… stupid thing to ever happen! Please stop, This is nonsense!!" I shook my head in disbelief. This can’t be real!

"It has since my Prince. Look, Liza is a great child. She is a wonderful woman I can guarantee you that! She never mistreated me even once when I was still with her. She and James make me feel a whole lot new… like a real human being living a real life. Besides, it is your responsibility to be born almost in line to the throne; to marry and give birth to the future monarchs of this family. And, I want to pay her back! at least half of the sympathy, empathy, and love they had shown me. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for her or if she just ignored and abandoned me bloody alone inside that creepy forest! How would you think I can survive?? So please… please my dearest grandson, at least do this for me…" surprisingly she didn’t push me more. She did not raise her voice even so; instead, she showed some pleading look I can never refuse to. Grandma grabbed my hand too and tenderly squeeze, I can feel the utmost sincerity in her actions this time. How can I say no?

Unfortunately, Grandma sure knows how to convince me. I didn’t rebut my thoughts for a long time; I don’t think I can just give in like that. If I know much, she had planned this all along because she knows whether I agree or disagree, I will not be having any choice but to run. So yeah, what’s the point? she may be right for reminding me of the responsibilities I still have to fulfill but… why would I be the one to suffer for this thing? The crown is not even in line with me… what the hell am I going to do to avoid this?!?!

I was lost in my own world and unending thought to ponder here inside my room that I didn’t notice the fast change in time, and Papa… well he is the Crown Prince so maybe it’s his right to barge in my room without knocking? Still rude.

"I heard about the proposal the queen has told you." The soft tone he used telling me the matter, was just like how my secretary would inform me. He then moved forward to the living room, settling himself on one of the chairs designed for my visitors.

"I thought so too. It’s hard to hide news inside this place… ah, she didn’t propose to me. It was an order!!!" I honestly told him pointing a non-offensive finger in front of us as I followed his suit sitting in one of the spaces available.

"If she ordered you then you are obliged to do so. What is your stand on this matter?"

"Just like what you have said, whatever my stand is, if I agree or disagree on this matter would be of no use. I am obliged so I have to follow."

"It is final then?" This man, Papa is obviously asking me the obvious, just like grandma requesting for me to do her a favor when in fact she already made an order.

What more can I say? I just shook my head letting out my long kept heavy sigh, I am literally frustrated over this thing. I stood up, seriously pissed about everything being thrown at me today. This is just too much. I go back to my room, and lay flat in my bed, only after a short while I heard the door click close as my eyes started to get their most awaited sleep.

"Priiiiiinnnnnggg brap pa rap…… priiiinnnggg brap pa rappapapp… priiiii…" I woke up in an instant when I heard the loudest sound in the morning that was trapped in my room. It is a trumpet especially used to wake every royal member living inside this castle every morning.

 The one and only me.

This has been a dilemma I experienced every single day since I was born, and it will still continue to pester me until I am not yet married. This makes me a little too envious of my brother for having the leverage to wake up at whatever time he likes just because he’s married. Maybe because of this, I would agree to marry that commoner. As soon as I open my eyes, I heard the best morning news - pun intended.

"You’re Highness, her Majesty, the Duke and Duchess, and other royals will be having a mini gathering at the Sharfany garden, the Queen strictly asked for your presence in the meeting. Please start today as the said event will start in thirty minutes."

"You never failed to bring me bad news every morning huh… you’re consistency is amazing. Keep up the good work."

"I am sorry you Highness." He begged me clearly feeling sorry for disturbing my sleep, every single day.

"Naahh.. can you tell that to them so I can extend my sleep more?"

"I’m afraid it’s a no, my prince. Please take your bath already. The time is thicking fastly."

Yeah yeah yeah whatever.

I moved to the bathroom to take my long bath. Yep, long bath because I don’t really like the idea popping into my head right now. I think the agenda will be about me and that nonsense marriage. I’d be needing time to think of more reasons to stop, if not, at least delaying it will do me fun. I’m not yet ready to settle down indeed.

I only have one thing in mind, I'm so interested to know who will be my future wife.

LIZA POV “Aunt Liza!! Aunt Liza! Look there is a dead body I found here!” “What?” I looked at my nephew James and immediately went to where he was standing. I did not hear him loud and clear, and to my disbelief, I saw an old woman’s body lying alongside the river shore. She is unconscious and her skin has bruises on it, even her forehead was wounded and filled with blood as her clothes were torn just enough to cover some parts of her body. I wonder what had happened to her before to be in this state of being. “Auntie why is she here? Is she dead already?” James asked confused. “I don’t know either James... Wait, let me see” I said as kneeled down to her level and carefully lift her wrist to check her pulse. The old lady looked so weak with a pale face; there is no sign of life in her! “Oh! She isn’t dead yet James! Please help me, let’s take her home so we can treat her immediately!” I commanded my nephew as soon as I felt her weak pulse, I checked her breathing and it was almos
