Chapter 6

But I have to find you a handsome daddy! When I grow up, who's going to be there for you? This uncle bumped into me, so he

owes me. That’s why I’m asking him to marry you; it’s really a win-win situation, Mommy!" defended Leo with a slight frown, showing how serious he was about his proposal.

The audience couldn't help but chuckle at his adorable reasoning.

Margaret felt speechless and embarrassed. She so badly wanted to throw her son into the sea foe good this time.

Just as she prepared to speak once more, the bodyguards accompanying the man stepped forward to clear a path for him.

Margaret scowled, ready to voice her irritation at them when the handsome uncle in question raised a hand to halt the

bodyguards.

He then crouched down to Leo's level, offering the little boy a teasing smile.

Feeling the urge to protect her son, Margaret instinctively moved to shield him from the stranger. It was simply a mother’s instinct; she wouldn’t allow anything to threaten her child.

The handsome man lifted his gaze and locked eyes with Margaret for the first time.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still as they gazed into each other's eyes. Both of them had a sensation in their heart for the first time in a long time.

It was Margaret who eventually broke the tension, unable to withstand the pull of his

striking and captivating blue eyes.

Reflecting on it, she had to admit that her son bore some resemblance to this unfamiliar man.

It was easy to see the similarities, not just in their blue eyes but also in their facial features. The man was undeniably good-looking, and Margaret had to acknowledge that.

However, another thought nagged at her mind. Why did this man seem so familiar? She felt as though she had seen him before, but she couldn't remember where she had seen him.

There's no way she would forget such a handsome man if they had met before right?

The handsome man flashed a slight smile at Margaret which almost suck away her breath before turning his attention back to the little boy who was nestled close to his mother.

"Hey there, little one, I thought we were making a deal. Why are you hiding now? Don't tell me you aren't a man enough?" His deep, enchanting voice caused Margaret's heart to momentarily skip a beat as he spoke to Leo.

Before she could regain her composure, Leo stepped out from behind her, puffing out his tiny chest as he declared...

"Who claimed I was hiding? I was simply allowing you the chance to admire my stunning mom!" Leo declared with a sense

of pride, despite know how the truth was far fetched.

Margaret wished to step forward and face the situation herself. She knew her son would surely be her undoing sooner or later.

The handsome man smiled at Leo, nodding in recognition of the boy's cleverness.

"Thank you for the chance. I truly did get a good look at your mother, and she is indeed lovely," he playfully remarked to the boy.

Margaret's heart raced, and her cheeks flushed with warmth and red. She couldn’t quite understand why the handsome man's compliment about her beauty made her

feel shy.

"See... I told you! So, what do you think? Will you be my Daddy? I've heard that handsome and intelligent men don’t talk so much. They rely on their minds more swiftly than their mouths. So, what's your decision?" Leo said, appeared somewhat exhausted from the lengthy conversation.l as he claimed.

The man raised an eyebrow before reaching into his suit pocket, retrieving a business card, and offering it to Leo.

Leo accepted the card and read the name aloud, "Aaron Westwood, CEO of Glory & Stars Company!"

Upon hearing that last name, Margaret's expression darkened for a brief moment,

but she quickly regained her composure.

"The Westwood!" Shw thought inwardly.

Nevertheless, the handsome man noticed her subtle reaction and pondered why this peculiar woman had such a strong reaction to his name.

Before anyone could speak, Leo extended his tiny hand towards him. "I'm Leo, Leo Michaelson. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Westwood," he stated, sounding quite mature.

Aaron reciprocated, reaching out to shake Leo’s small hand with a smile.

He found it hard to understand why he felt such affection for the little boy, especially since the name "Michaelson" stirred

something in his memory.

Out of nowhere, a loud voice shouted from the entrance of the airport, interrupting their interaction and gaining attention.

"MAGGIE!!!"

Jane exclaimed as she spotted her sister and nephew.

"Auntie!!!" Leo cheered, dashing into her open arms.

Margaret beamed at the sight of her stepsister. Her joy was apparent as she rushed over for a warm hug.

Aaron stood aside, feeling oddly left out. After stealing one last glance at the trio sharing a hug, he exited the airport with his

bodyguards.

When Leo came back to reality, he turned to look for his future daddy only to be disheartened by Aaron's absence.

Yet, as he glanced at the card in his hand, he couldn’t help but smile. At least he had a way to reach out to him.

"I'll call Daddy Aaron when we get home!" In Jane's embrace, he exclaimed with joy.

"Daddy Aaron?" Jane inquired, raising an eyebrow.

Margaret glanced around to check for the man, only to discover that he was indeed absent.

With a sigh, she shook her head at Jane.

"Forget about him. He just spotted someone and asked if he could be his Daddy, as per usual!" Margaret replied tersely, eager to avoid the awkward moment of explaining to her sister what just happened a while ago.

"Oh really? Is this one more attractive than the last?" Jane teased Leo as they exited the airport.

"Absolutely! He's so handsome!" Leo affirmed, nodding enthusiastically.

Jane chuckled and playfully tickled him, causing the little boy to squeal with delight in her arms.

"Mom and Dad are thrilled that you finally chose to return after such a long time away!" Jane remarked to Margaret once

they were settled in their car.

"You know Jane, I had to leave to grow and develop myself. Plus, Leo needed to be brought into the world outside of this country," Margaret explained with a sigh, remembering the day she had to leave the country 6 years ago.

"Now that you're back, what do you plan to do?" Jane asked her.

Margaret merely smiled at her without offering a word in response. She turned to look her son in the back seat, engrossed in his iPad, and her smile widened.

No one was aware of the true reasons behind her return, but now that she was home, it was time to settle some scores.

"Alex! Esther! It’s me, Margaret! Im back! So, Buckle up because the ride is going to be exhilarating!"

Margaret declared with a mysterious expression as she gazed out the window.

Upon hearing her sister's words, Jane felt a satisfied smirk creep onto her face. "This is going to be exciting!" she thought to herself.
