Once inside the house, Jade sat down in the living room while Max went into his bedroom and came back with the balm.

During this time, Jade wiped off the makeup from her face. The slap from Henry did not really sting but seeing how concerned Max was about it, Jade found herself enjoying the attention.

Max seemed like a completely different man. When he had first asked them to make a stop at his house, she had thought it was an excuse to get her to his bed.
