Chapter 4

Marco is so close that she can almost smell his minty breath.

And her heart is going crazy!And it's not safe.

"M-Marco.."

"Yes..?" He didn't bother to move.

"Y-you're too close.." napalunok siya.

"No I'm not," agad na tanggi nito.

She tries to move his hands na nakahawak sa bag niya at nakalusot sa bewang niya.

"You know what the real close means?" Without warning Marco let go of her bag as it fell to the floor and he hugged her his hands were encircled in her waist at lapat na lapat na ang likod niya sa dibdib nito at nakapatong na ang ulo nito sa balikat niya and he was sniffing her!

"This is the real close Adie., I wanted you to distinguish the difference between them"

He is almost towering her,at pakiramdam niya ay lalabas na ang puso niya sa ribcage niya sa bilis ng kaba nito.

Why is this feeling so unfamiliar? Akala niya ay may nangyari sa kanila noong nakaraang gabi?

Did she feel the same exact feeling while doing those things to him?

Bakit kasi wala siyang maalala?.

"Y-yes., I will so.. let's go..?" Pagbabago niya ng usapan dito but Marco just chuckled.

"Yes, that's better if we leave., Because your smell is so addictive, that I wanted to start sniffing you here and now" it was almost a whisper that sent shivers in her spine.

But before anything else she holds his hands and remove it from her waist na natanggal naman niya agad at yumuko siya para kunin ang bag niya ngunit inagaw iyon ni Marco.

"Let me.." napatingala siya dito and there is an emotion in his face na hindi niya maunawaan.

He carries her bag and hold her hands again and pulled her out of her room, but still her heart is not calming.

She can still feels his warm body.

She wanted to slap her face.

.. Adira! Composed yourself!

Hanggang makapasok sa elevator ay hindi na siya nagsalita maging ito ay walang imik.

"We will be just staying in your yacht the whole month?" Basag niya sa katahimikan habang naglalakad sila papunta sa yate nito.

"Why., Are you suggesting something or., You want to go somewhere?"

Tiningala niya ito.

"Can you bring me somewhere quiet,"

"Quiet? You wanted a quiet place..?"

Bahagya din siya nitong nilingon.

She nodded but she suddenly realized

" Oh, can we visit some place to.. you know I can buy some personal things"

" Personal things like what? "

Ngumiti siya dito ng matamis.

" Of course what woman need"

" What woman oh.. "tila naisip na nito ang sinasabi niya." That thing.. that the woman used every month? "

She nodded.

" And of course I need to buy something like, soap shampoo toothbrush "

Marco nodded.

" Ok no problem, we will be going to the city tomorrow,and I need to buy some stocks baka maubusan tayo"

She smiles at him sweetly.

Pakiramdam niya ay nai-excite siya isipin palang niya na magagawa niya ngayon lahat ng mga bagay na hindi niya nagagawa dati ay nai-excite siya thanks to this man at mai-experience niyang maging normal.

Unlike when she's with her family, there's no doubt hindi nagkulang ang pamilya niya in the love and support but.,she feels na sakanya ay marami pang kulang.

Her sister Alethea has the most out of her life and she envy her for that dahil walang pressure itong nararanasan, even her sister Arielle, but ang bunsong babae niyang kapatid ang medyo pangit ang karanasan that's why like her hindi rin nito naranasan ang buhay ng maayos, and Lexus her baby brother na kahit binatilyo na baby brother niya pa rin.

Her dad is already giving him pressure now, sa murang edad nito but Lexus is tough kagaya ng daddy niya ni hindi mo makikitaan ng panghihina ng loob ang kapatid niyang iyon and he always looked up at her siya ang tinitingnan nito bilang modelo.

And he was trying his best para mahabol ang kakayahan niya, but she knew it very well na magiging magaling ang bunso niyang kapatid.

"You're spacing out" bigla siyang napabaling kay Marco nang tumigil ito sa harap ng yate nito.

"Oh., Ahm it's nothing.," And she smiles.

Marco stared at her.

"Then c'mon" and he pulled her papunta sa yate nito at nagulat siya.

Is this the yacht that he used the last time?

Because.. napatingala siya this yacht looks expensive, it has a blue light emitting the whole yacht at ngayon lang niya na realize that it has a third floor and it's huge.

"It is the same yacht last night?" Di niya maiwasang itanong dito.

Nangunot ang noo ni Marco.

"Yeah, why?"

Napailing siya.

"Nothing, hindi ko kasi napansin kaya nagulat ako na malaki pala ang yacht mo., You owned this? "

He nodded "then let's go in"

Napapaisip siya, Marco is a billionaire kita naman sa gara ng yate nito.

It look luxurious.

At pinapalibot ang tingin sa paligid.

... Who are you Marco..?

Kung maganda sa labas ay lalo naman sa loob pagpasok bakit ba hindi niya na appreciate ang itsura ng yate nito kaninang umaga?

It has a dirty white color from ceiling to floor even the sofa sets are all white at malawak din ang sala nito.The carpet is color royal blue that complement the color of the sala.,At sa dulo ay dining area na may puting upuan din and a dirty white color of the kitchen.

"I aakyat ko muna ang gamit mo," imporma nito at umakyat sa hagdan leaving her in the sala.

"Wait!" Napatigil ito sa paghakbang.

Nagmamadali siyang sumunod dito,

"I'm coming with you" nagkibit balikat naman si Marco.

"Sure" and he smile makalaglag panty na smile!

Napailing nalang siya.

She's crazy! Ano bang pinag gagagawa niya?

Kung dirty white ang sala ay nagulat naman siya pag akyat sa second floor it has a dim blue light at nag iisa lang pala ang kama.

She remembers this part ngunit napabaling siya sa banyo.

So the bathroom has a glass wall..

Pakiramdam niya ay nanlalambot ang tuhod niya.

She remembers taking a bath last night while she was so drunk and now.. she realize that the wall of the bathroom is glass and it's a clear glass!

Marco put her things down at hinarap siya but he froze when he saw her reaction.

"Hey.. are you ok.?"

Nag aalalang tanong nito sakanya.

Napatingala naman siya dito and she pointed out the bathroom

"I-I remember taking a bath last night., The wall.. is so clear"

Hindi siya makalunok but Marco stared at her with amusement and it turned to laugher after.

Sinimangutan niya ito.

"That's the reason, why you look pale.." natatawa parin nitong sabi.

And he turned around and walked towards the bathroom and he entered while waving his hands and smiling broadly at her.

And then he pulled the door and the clear door became blurry na hindi na niya makita ito sa loob.

Napa 'oh'siya and sighed in relief.

Lumabas si Marco wearing a teasing smile.

"So are you ok now?"

Lumapit ito sakanya, she nodded but Marco was still smiling at her at dumukwang ito palapit sa mukha niya.

" You looked adorable" and he smiles sweetly and pinched her nose.

"Marco!" Nagulat siya sa ginawa nito but Marco giggled and he held her hands again and pulled her paakyat ng isa pang hagdan.

Napahawak siya sa ilong na pinisil nito at napangiti.

... When he smiles at her like that she feels like.,her heart will explode.

Pag ka akyat nila sa huling palapag ay namangha siya.

It was the control room Marco let go of her hands at dumiretso ito sa mga control button and he starts pressing button na napaka rami.

Sumunod naman siya dito.

"Are we leaving tonight?" Napaka dilim pa ng paligid at halos wala siyang makita.

"Nope, tomorrow"

"Oh, ok..then what are you doing?"

Napabaling siya sa touch screen na pinipindot nito.

"Opening all the warning device in my yacht, because we're going to sleep"

Napa 'oh'

Sigurista din pala si Marco and that will be very fine dahil kailangan din safe siya.

At pagkatapos nito ay hinarap na siya.

"C'mon?"

She smiles and nodded at nagpahila siya dito pababa sa second floor.

The bed was huge but she has a problem, kung kagabi ay hindi niya naisip ang hiya dahil sa lasing siya iba naman ngayon, she's sober at nasa tamang katinuan at hindi niya kayang tumabi ng higa dito.

"You can put your clothes here" turo nito sa kabinet nito ngunit alanganin siyang napangiti.

"Don't you have a spare room?"

Napatitig ito sakanya and his gazed changed.

"You don't want to sleep beside me?"

Napakamot siya sa ulo.

"The thing is.,last night kahit may nangyari satin., Ayoko na.,you know may mangyari ulit., Because I will be staying here with you.,in just one month, so we don't need to make some more memories., Dahil kailangan parin nating kalimutan ang isat isa after.. r-right? At mahihirapan tayo pareho if that's happen"

And she forced a smile.

Matagal bago nakakibo si Marco sa sinabi niya but he sighed heavily after.

" Ok,. If that's what you want., Stay here and I will be sleeping downstairs "

And he walked passed her.

" W-wait! "She holds his arms to stop him.

And he looked at her.

" No, I mean you will be staying here in your room., and I will be staying downstairs, nakakatulog ako sa sofa promise., Hindi naman ako maaarte"at pinilit niyang ngumiti but Marco remove her hands in his arms.

And he shake his head.

" It's fine you should stay here,it will be uncomfortable for you to sleep on the sofa"

And he turned around and leave her.

Pakiramdam niya ay nako-konsensiya siya sa ginawa niya.

Nakagat niya ang labi niya, at naglakad papunta sa kama at naupo doon.

But she shakes her head hindi siya pwedeng makonsensiya, she already volunteered but he declined so that's not her problem anymore.

She cleaned herself after ay nagbihis siya and lay in the bed comfortably.

Napapikit siya his bed smells just like him, napaka bango..

She closed her eyes and try to sleep lalo na alas onse narin ng gabi.

It was so warm na nakatulog agad siya, naalimpungatan siya dahil sa lamig at napabaling sa orasan mag aalas dos palang ngunit napaka lamig na, bumangon siya at dumiretso sa banyo.

When some memories flashed in her mind.

"It's cold..."she said without opening her eyes,

"You're cold..?" It was a voice of a man.

"Yes..."

But the man suddenly hugged her and she feels his warm body envelope in her. And it feels good.

"Marco..?" Pagkalabas niya ng banyo ay naglakad siya pababa ng sala at lalong mas malamig sa baba and she saw Marco.

He was sleeping on the floor without blanket he's sleeping in fetus style as if he was already cold.

Napakagat labi siya. It so cold at ramdam niya iyon because they are in the shore and the wind still blows colder at napabaling siya sa bintanang salamin and she understands the reason it's raining kaya pala.

She tiptoes papalapit dito and she sit beside him nagdadalawang isip siya.

If she invite him in the room and she will sleep here baka siya naman ang lamigin maybe..

"Marco..." She holds his arms ngunit nagulat siya nang bigla nalang siyang hilahin ni Marco hindi na siya naka pag react sa bilis ng pangyayari the next thing she knows nasa ilalim na siya nito.

'tugg! '

At napamulagat ito ng makilala siya.

"A-Adie..?"

She was still shocked na hindi agad na proseso ng utak niya ang nangyari.

"Marco..."

"I'm.. I'm sorry" umalis si Marco mula sa pagkaka kubabaw nito sakanya at inalalayan siyang makabangon din.

Napahawak ito sa sintido.

"I'm sorry that's.. because of shell shock.."

"You've been in a battle before?" Di niya maiwasang ma curious.

" Yeah.. that's... I'm sorry did I startled you? "

She shake her head.

" I was just shock, but it's fine.. "

And give him an assuring smile.

Marco smiles like he was relieved by her answer.

Ngunit nangunot ang noo nito nang mapatitig sa damit niya.

She's wearing sleeveless spaghetti top and cycling shorts.

"By the way, why are you here?" Napa baling ito sa orasan sa dingding.

At mapansin na alas dos palang.

"Ahm., I was awake because it so cold and., Naalala kita so I get here to check on., And looks like you're cold" nag iwas siya ng tingin dito.

Marco didn't respond for a second.

"You mean to say, you're worried of me being uncomfortable here that's why you checked on me?"

Hindi parin siya makatingin dito.

Her heart feels like exploding again.

... Gosh..Marco what are you doing to me?!

Gustong gusto sana niyang isigaw sa mukha nito pero ni hindi na nga siya makatingin dito ng deretso to admit it.

She's a straight forward woman walang paligoy-ligoy at hindi natatakot mag express at magsalita nasanay siya sa ganun because of what her dad taught her.

That she didn't need to be afraid, of anything. She's not pero bakit ki Marco?

She never look away lalo na pag nakikipag usap siya sa kahit sino pa kahit nga malalaking investors ay hindi siya nagpapasindak pero bakit kay Marco.

... D*nmit this is really not good!

Piping sigaw ng utak niya.

Tiningala niya ito walang dahilan para mahiya siya dito one month yun lang ang araw na pagsasamahan nila so maybe... maybe just friends?

"Yes, I'm worried you might get cold, so.."

"So?"

Umarko ang kilay nito.

"I'm asking you, to sleep upstairs" at nakipag titigan siya dito.

And Marco smiles.

"You're always amazed me, by the way you answer''

Ngunit bago pa siya makahuma ay nakatayo na ito and without warning holds her arms and pulled her patayo.

"C'mon let's sleep together., And I was hoping na makonsensiya ka because it's so d*mned cold here without blanket nor comforter"

Bahagya siyang nilingon nito and grind at her.

Napailing naman siya ngunit napangiti rin.

Maybe it's not a bad idea to be friends with him.

Pagkarating nila sa kama ay dere-deretso itong naglakad hila-hila siya, he switched off the lampshade at naunang umakyat sa kama.

While she sat in the edge of the bed habang nakatingin dito.

Her heart starts pounding faster again!

"Well., What are you waiting for?"

Marco tapped the space beside him.

Kinakalma muna niya ang sarili and breathe heavily.

"Hey., What's with the breathing?!" Dahil napaka tahimik ay rinig pala nito ang paghinga niya.

"Ahm, nothing" at sumampa siya sa higaan and lay in the corner malayo dito.

Marco frowns but he didn't respond he straighten up his body at magkumot.

"Ok, good night Adie.."

"Good night" she replied.

Tumalikod ito pagkatapos ng higa sakanya.

She didn't moved at first na kinakalma ang sarili. Napabaling siya sa bedside table nang mapansin ang isang pulang bagay na nakataob at nanlalaki ang mata niya when she realize what it is.

.. my phone!

At inabot niya iyon at binuksan her phone has a triple lock, a combination of 25 letters and numbers.

Kaya hindi ito mabubuksan basta basta.

Kinakabahan siya habang tinitipa ang password nito dahil baka may mga message na ang daddy niya and it has.

(You're on a vacation right now anak? Take care of yourself. Your grandma still needs to undergo an operation and surgery so baka matagalan pa bago kami makabalik, we love you and enjoy your vacation and try things na mga hindi mo pa nasubukan,and have fun)

And she smiles malaki talaga ang tiwala ng daddy niya sa kanya.

And she replies.

(Of course dad, I will always take care of my self and our plan is still our plan so don't worry, you and mom and Lexus should take care of yourself too, I love you)

Sa wakas makaka pag saya niya without any problem at worries ibinalik niya ang phone sa bedside table at hinarap si Marco na naka talikod sakanya

Inabot niya ang kumot at kinumutan din ang sarili, right like what her dad says try things na hindi niya pa nararanasan, maybe that includes sleeping and sharing a bed with a man?

Napangiti siya.

Maybe...
