Against the Odds (END)

It was dead silence in the room. Jacob's expression turns pale as he feels the strong pain. He couldn't help but move to Aurora and hug her one side tightly and give a peck on his son's forehead.

“ I'm sorry for not being able to protect her!”

He whispers as he feels the sharp pain in his heart.

“ Who died?” Aurora asks as she feels so left out of their conversation. Her eyes roam around, searching for an answer.

“ I don't know if you can actually handle all the pressure today. But everything that Alpha said is true. We can prove that!”

“ Enough!!!” Aurora just shouts. She grabs the towel and wraps it around her son and looks at Dahlia.

“ You don't have to come along with me right now since it's already dark outside. Also if you think you have to talk to him, go ahead. But I need to clear my head. So I am going!” She says, walking towards the door.
