Branch One Hundred and Twenty Four

Jessica and Xavier sat in the car in the parking lot quietly. Jessica wanted to tell him not to worry and just drop her that she would find her way back home but her voice could barely leave her throat.

Jessica suddenly felt a strong urge. It was like someone had taken a whip and whipped her continuously until she could not take it anymore. She felt tears drop down her face as she began to wail uncontrollably.

Xavier was thrown off guard as he was not expecting her to cry. He did not know what to do. He was not experienced in what to do when you want to console another person.

Jessica felt self-conscious and embarrassed that she was wailing her eyes out but she could not seem to control herself at all.

"Why are you crying?" Xavier asked worriedly.

Like a trigger, once the question left Xavier's mouth Jessica felt the urge to cry more. Why was she crying? She thought she had cried all the last drop of tears when they broke up.
