First of I don't know if I should start with an apology or a vote of thanks because I owe both to my audience but here goes nothing. Dear Readers I am grateful to you all, you have been such support to me, asking for updates and even checking in on me while still checking out my other works it means so much to me. Now to my apology because you don't deserve what I have done to you all. How well can I say this so you all can understand!? As stated earlier I had a program which I had to attend and I was not allowed with electronic devices which resulted in my poor updates. When I got back from the camp I tried to begin writing for you all but I felt burnt out. So burnt out that the words that usually flowed so easily for me became hard and I even had a hard time writing little notes for myself and even replying to the messages of my loved ones. I found it hard to spell little words (And I mean it when I said I sat for a good thirty minutes trying to remember how to spell the word H
Xavier and Brian were standing there with their mouths wide open in shock. Xavier could not believe that the kind-hearted Leslie who had helped his wife get accustomed to the wealthy world was the one saying such things. Brian was surprised because even though his wife had said things that hurt him he still believed she was saying it out of a place of hurt and did not mean it. "Leslie" Xavier said slowly and in a low tone. She shivered as if someone had released a gust of air into the atmosphere. "What are you saying?" he asked walking into the room. Leslie bit the corner of her lips and rolled her hands into a ball at her side. This was not her plan. She knew that Jessica had control over Xavier and that she could change Jessica's mind Xavier would be a done deal. "Why did you go to Joshua's office?" Xavier asked coming to stand in front of her. Brian had been contemplating going for divorce and this moment was the confirmation he needed. Leslie must have lost her mind because
Xavier had tried to understand why and how Leslie had been acting but there was nothing to justify her actions. He narrowed his eyes and took a few more steps to be in close range to her. She could feel his breath on her cheek because of his bent head. The posture would have been romantic if they had been partners but she was not feeling any romance whatsoever all she felt at that moment was fear. She was afraid that Xavier would hold her by the neck and strangle her till she felt no breath in her throat anymore. She gulped and tried to hide the fear she felt from showing through her eyes. "What are you doing Xavier?" she asked flustered taking a step back to create space between them. "I am sending a warning to you," he said slowly and in a low voice. "Oh please" she said taking her fingers up to her face and flicking at them. "You know I am right, if I weren't married to that" she said pointing to Brian casually with a smirk before turning to face him. "Dawson would
"You can put me down now" Jessica murmured into Xavier's chest. "What?" Xavier asked stopping in his tracks as he looked down at her. "What are you thinking?" "Nothing" he jumped to defend himself even though he had been deep in thought about what had happened some moments ago. "Nothing?" she asked tilting her head the best way it could go. "It's about Leslie, Did she not seem off to you?" he asked. He was disgusted and disappointed by her behaviour but overall he was surprised and worried. "I know right, I always thought she was the sweetest. I mean she was always there" Jessica said. "Maybe something is up?" As much as Xavier hated her attitude, he wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. "Yeah," Jessica trailed off as she nestled in his hands. "You know I can walk, right? There is nothing wrong with me" she added after a moment. "Are you sure you aren't shaken up by her attitude?" he asked. "You sneaky man" she said narrowing her eyes at him. "Sneak
"Let's talk" "I have said this countless times and I can not believe that you are somehow making me repeat myself again, I don't want to talk to you" Leslie said with a tone of disdain. "You have to" he said snatching her hand and pulling her with him towards his car. Brian opened up the front passenger side and shoved her inside before closing the door and walking over to the driver's side. He began to drive out with silence in the car. "If you want to talk then do so and let me out immediately" she murmured as she felt the tense air in the car. She was sulking that her plan had failed but she could not believe that he had somehow caught her in the act. Her full plan was to get Joshua and Anette married and then go back to her husband. She was aware of how head over heels he was for her and that he would come running back if she shed a few tears. She wondered if her tears would be of any use to her at all or if she had to devise a stronger plan to get him back. Jessica had
"A divorce?" Leslie murmured to herself before letting out a sinister laugh. "You want a divorce?" she asked trailing off when she noticed that he was not laughing with her and the serious expression on his face. "Are you for real?" she asked and he nodded. "I thought for a split second that I would have been able to speak some sense with you but it's obvious that you are stuck on her past and you have intentions of moving on and being honest with me" he said looking out the windshield. "Brian I have always been honest with you" Leslie let out in a panic. The situation was not under her control as she had thought earlier, he was being serious and if she was not careful she would have to lose him forever. "You never loved me, you still had fantasies about Xavier and I wonder why it took me this long to figure that out" he continued. "Why the hell would you say that?" she asked trying to sound humble. "After all the things you have said and done in the past weeks I would be
Aletta stood outside the office door as she wondered if her decision was good enough. After encountering Leslie and the craze she had thought long and hard about her relationship with Joshua. Even though she had not been interested in getting married, the thought that his parents might want grandkids and a married daughter-in-law and that might ultimately lead to them breaking up crossed her mind a whole lot. The scenario of them separating and she being heartbroken could not for a second leave her mind and it kept her from getting any work done. She was also concerned he might have to marry a rich woman and she would be left with our memories of him. She had made up her mind but for many reasons, she kept rethinking it. She was about to push the door open when it yanked from inside and Joshua stood in the door frame tilting his head and blinking. "What are you doing there?" she let out without thinking. "I think I should be asking you that," he said leaning into the frame m
Aletta was flustered by his actions as she watched him go. Joshua turned back briefly and sent her a cocky smile before entering into the elevator, he held her gaze as the doors shut. Thaigo's assistant stumbled to her feet as she saw Joshua approaching. She tried to search her memory as to why he was there but there was no answer. "Mr Delgado..." She could barely get the statement from her mouth because he flagged her down with a wave of his hands."I am here to see Thiago, you don't need to announce my arrival, it's a personal meeting," Joshua told her and she never added."Do I need to bring anything to drink?" she asked. He stopped in his tracks and nodded before proceeding to the closed door in front of him. He tapped on the door to Thiago's office and then pushed it open. Thiago looked up from his desk and then smiled at him before standing up. "You asked to see me?" Joshua asked entering the office. "Yes I did, let me just save this" he said tapping his keyboard rapidly an
