Book Two: Branch Two Hundred and Eighty Six

Everyone turned around to see Anette standing there, She tilted her head as she saw faces she did not recognize. "What are you doing here so early in the morning" Jeanne was trying her absolute best to not sound bitter. She had forgiven Anette but she knew that the pain she caused her could not just go away overnight. She needed a little more time to heal.

"I am so sorry for showing up unannounced but I brought invitation cards" Anette said cautiously as she approached the table. She had apologized but she was sure it would not be that easy to forgive her. "I hope I am not intruding on anything?" she asked as she stopped at the table.

The silence in the room was so bad that anyone could tell that there was something wrong in that place. "Of course not" Aletta finally said stretching her hand to get the invitation from her. Anette blessed Aletta in her heart for breaking the dead silence they had just experienced.
