Book Two: Branch One Hundred and Seventeen

"Did you wait long?" Joshua slid into the car and turned to face Aletta.

"No but what did she want?" Aletta asked placing her seatbelt into a service position.

"To apologize," Joshua said and Aletta nodded.

"I kind of understand her, I mean I do understand her," she said and looked over at him. She did not like the expression on his face so she shrugged at him and mouthed "What?"

"How can you understand her? She wanted me to break up with you"

"I mean, she did not know me so I don't take it personally. She is obsessed with having you to herself and sincerely I kind of think that cute" Aletta said throwing Joshua into even more shock than before.

"What are you trying to say?" he said trying his best to control his emotions so he could fully understand her intention behind the words she was speaking.

"I mean you both have known each other all your life and it's been a long ride for you, she had a crush on you and naturally assumed that you would end up together," she said and turned
