Zyrielle’s POV

“Aargh!” I yelled, pretending to lose my footing naturally instead of as a consequence of my eavesdropping.

I blinked back the tears that threatened to fall out of my eyes as soon as the light appeared.

“Are you hurt?” Freya asked me, but I knew she was only pretending to be concerned.

I shook my head and attempted to rise. “Wait, I will help you.” She said, but I knew it was all a lie. She was probably happy about my fall. I flenched as soon as she came closer before moving away from her.

Her eyes widened in shock at my movement, but I didn't care one bit. It was just one of those things that happened whenever I was unsure about a person. “Are you sure that everything is fine, ma'am? " she inquired.

I picked myself up refusing to allow her to touch my body because I know the implication. She didn't like me and made it clear. I would be a fool to act like she wanted the best for me. “This is very weird. I would never expect that you would act this way.” She said,
