I couldn't understand what was going on.

After everything that had happened, I'd been struggling with very gruesome dreams where I'd see death and I ended up waking up bathed in sweat. I was hallucinating, I had no appetite and for some reason, I hated my baby.

Since the dreams started, I hadn't carried him for up to an hour. Whenever Roman came in to take him away, I didn't fight him anymore. I just let him do what he wanted and he didn't bring the baby back until he wanted to be breastfed or it was nightfall already.

Even when the baby was being breastfed, I told him to wait so he could take him back. Thankfully, Roman hadn't noticed yet because he was still in the obsession stage.

He looked at that baby like he was his entire life and I banked on that to get some peace of mind. I could barely come out of my room. I didn't want to embarrass myself because I saw something and I screamed.
