“Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives, put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us”- Unknown

Neville knew the ride was going to be a long one, he had planned for them to take a brief tour around the city. He wanted to give Aurora a brief glance of the entire city since she loves it, before they set out to experiencing it’s lifestyle. Aurora being kept in the dark, pondered on what Neville had planned for the rest of their day. Not wanting to have an awkward ride because she was already feeling unease, she started a conversation.

‘ What are the odds, that we would come out in similar wear’ Aurora said smiling.

‘It just goes to show that we have similar fashion sense', he replied winking at her.

‘ Hope I didn’t cause any form of uproar, cause I noticed your brother’s reaction when I walked in', he said.

‘No you didn’t, we were already in a hot conversation before you came in’ she replied.

Neville didn’t think that was just all, he had a feeling he was in that topic but he choose not to push the topic. This doubt didn’t pass Aurora but she didn’t want to push it either.

‘So where are we going to', she requested.

‘Technically, we would end up in some places but for a first I am driving you around town, showing you key places’, he responded.

Aurora was excited, though she was sure she had been to some of the places but she didn’t mind experiencing it anew. They took a road trip a bit out of town, towards the hills which was hovering around the city. Aurora had always wanted a sight of the city from the top of the hills but she didn’t want to go alone, and sharing this experience with Neville pleased her a lot. The highest of the hill had built up road that lead to the peak, it was an active spot as it was designed as a tourist view. It had a bar a restaurant, a bar, a lounge all built up on the trees, it was like a suspending structure, held up by mother nature, which she didn’t understand how it was possible. It was a magnificent view, the trees were filled with lighting and the environment popped out like it was from a magazine. They stepped into the trunk of tree, which carried them to their cottage on the tree, they had the one that was at top most part of the tree facing the entire city. The view was breathtaking, Aurora couldn’t hide her excitement.

‘This is the most beautiful sight I have seen in a long while’, she said joyfully.

‘’I couldn’t agree more, it is the most magnificent sight I have seen’, he responded, staring at Aurora all through his statement… He couldn’t deny under the lighting Aurora glowed like a cleaned gem, the charm was emanating through her smile. She could sense that Neville was not referring to the view, so she turned her head to realize he was starring at her all along. She was speechless as she didn’t know what responds was befitting, but it was at that moment she decided to give whatever it was they felt for each other a chance.  She knew she had a lot to know about him, she doesn’t just go all in blindly, she wanted to be sure he was worth it. She smiled at him, and then said;

‘tell me about yourself'

That thought Neville unawares, as he was expecting her to be this direct. But he was happy, she was making that bold step, as he knew those are steps to take when getting to know someone better.

‘Well, I am an orphan from the lowest part of the city, that has nothing much to say about life than all it’s bitterness it’s got to ‘ he responded.

Aurora felt pain in his statement and she could imagine how hard it was for him to say it. That got Aurora, he saw the need to say something to her, even though he could have ignored her. It should that he was ready to let Aurora in, but she didn’t want the pain to spoil the mood.

‘I can sense that’s not a topic you enjoy talking about, I wouldn’t mind letting it go till you comfortable enough to let me in’, she said.

‘We could talk about things you enjoy doing, so we can get to understand ourselves better', she added.

That was a great relief to Neville and she sensed that, she didn’t want to bring back past memories, she wanted to enjoy every bit of the moment because it wouldn’t be there forever. They got talking and she realized they had a lot in common, he loves reading as she does, quite ambitious, loves his space and wishes to  achieve as much as he could from life. He was purpose driven and knew exactly what he wanted from life, which she is certain is what got him this far. He had great sense of humor and wasn’t as uptight as he made everyone think. She felt his past shaped the kind of man he was, probably that’s why he is always wants to be in charge of any situation, always assertive and never giving people a chance, she  the universe failed him, cheating him out of an home and family. She sensed all his form of brokenness and damage he hid but she didn’t mean mending them one scare at a time. They had drinks and food at the top view, they chatted till the sunset after which he ushered her out for the next adventure.

This was Aurora definition of a first date, in as much as she loves adventures, it was a means for them to bound deeply. There some cable connections at the side of the hills, it went all the way gown across the lower hills, it passed some part of the city. Though she had come across it but wasn’t curious about it. Seeing she had the ability to transport herself in a second, she took a liking to the ground in this universe. Apparently, it was a means of transportation, and it was linked at strategic spot in the city to aid movement. It was mostly used by couples and lovers for some romantic date; which made Neville thought it was the best means to reach the city fair.

‘ What about your ride? How do you intend on getting it?’, she asked. She knew going down without the car could lead to it sleeping at the park up the hill, which isn’t the best idea.

‘once we done down below, we could still come up here to view the city and night’, he responded.

She liked the idea and went on with the plan. Moreover, he planned the date, he definitely knew what he wants. Neville stretched forth his hand to lead Aurora into the cart, she took his hands and entered the cart. The cart was designed for only two people per cart, which gave couples their privacy. Settling in, Aurora realized she hadn’t let go of Neville’s hand and he wasn’t letting go either, instead he interlocked their fingers while he used his thumb to caress her hand. His actions sent sensual waves down her spine but she kept cool and absorbed herself to to the moment. She was literally in her best moment, a great view of a city she loves with a man she was attracted to, sending her signals down her spine, she didn’t wish to let go of this moment but she knew all she could do was enjoy the moment.
