I watch my new husband make several calls, some of the things I heard I knew the call was from his office, the drive back to his house was awkward as no one is willing to start up a conversation
I sat beside him rubbing my sweaty palms, as unknown heat started from nowhere,
I fanned myself with my hand puffing out air,
"The air conditioning is on, are you okay?'' My eyes snapped towards him, immediately he asked me that
" uhh…sure, sure" I smile nervously
"Hmmm…" He hummed and turned back to his phone
I wonder if this is how he is….not saying more than two words
"Are you sure you can crack this man?" My conscience asked
I look at my new husband, thinking about what my conscience just asked me, but immediately he saw me I looked away, looking through the window like it has the most beautiful view
"We will see about that…." I replied my conscience
"We are here sir" I heard the driver say, I sat in the car expecting my dear husband to be a gentleman and opened the car door for me, but my eyes widened when he stepped out of the car and started walking inside
"What a weirdo…" I hissed and stepped out of the car too, but my jaw dropped seeing the castle before me,
I turned back from where we came from and then back at the castle again
"Is this a paradise…?" I asked the driver crazily
"No mam, but the boss is damn filthy rich" He smiles
I look at the fleet of cars, different kinds lining up, damn!
"What are you both whispering, aren't you coming in…..?" I heard my husband scream from the other end
"Phew…I thought he left me" I hissed walking towards him, but not without admiring the whole place,
I stopped before him, and watch him look at me in a sinister manner
"What are you both discussing?" He asked with his hands tucked in his pocket like it's his tradition
"You left me in the car so I'm not telling you" I muttered looking away
"Your business…" He groan and started walking inside while I ran after him
We went inside and I nearly screamed at the interior, but I was sharp enough to cover my mouth and composed myself
"How can someone spend a fortune just on building a house?"
"Well you should be happy you never got married to that ass hole," My conscience said
"You're right but this won't last either, remember?"
"Let's see about that" My conscience giggled, making me shake my head
I turn towards Wane and saw him looking at me,
"Your house is beautiful…" I complimented him
"Hmmm.." He nodded his head looking around
''Ahhh….don't you think we should know each other's name since we are married already"
"Rose…." I said stretching forth my hand for a shake
"Rose Malansala" He smirk shaking my hand, my eyes widened
"How did you know?"
"I've known you before" He muttered taking back his hand
"Ohhh…okay, your name?"
"You sure looked at the card, don't you know me before"
"No…I've been hearing of your name from my ex and best friend, but then when I saw your card I realized it was you I met" I said all in a go, looking at him
"Ohh….." Was his response
"What's your full name?"
"WANE DUNCAN"
"Wow……..nice"
"Let me show you to our room"
"Our room…..!" I nearly screamed
"Aren't we married to Mrs. Duncan…."
"Yeah….sure we are, let's go," I said nervously...
"Alpha……." We heard a voice and turned in the direction to see an elderly woman rushing toward us
"Mrs. Johnson…." Wane addressed her
"Good day Alpha…."
I watch as Wane rubs his forehead tiredly
"Mrs. Johnson, this is my wife, Rose"
"Ohh…beautiful, welcome" The elderly woman smiled at me
"Thanks" I muttered bowing a little
"Excuse me my Alpha, what would you like for lunch?" She elderly woman asked,
Wane looked at me with raised eyebrows
"Anything….." I stuttered
"Alright dear," Mrs. Johnson smiled and walked off,
Wane started climbing stairs while I followed behind
"You should have said what you wanted you know," Wane said
"I'm sorry I'm not used to here yet" I replied
We entered his room and my jaw dropped, this place is thrice my fucking whole apartment, the beauty is outer the world as everything here is white color, making me ask myself if he's obsessed with white, even his damn house is white
"You must really love white…." I said not knowing when it slipped from my mouth
"Yeah…sure " He replied and started unbuttoning his shirt, I turned around immediately
"You should have asked me to excuse you"
"Aren't you my wife….?" He asked, I could feel him smirking
"Turn around I'm done changing"
Slowly, I turned my head to see he's changed into a matching white jogger, damn he look so handsome
"Are you done checking me out?" He chuckled, making me blink my lashes twice at once
"Sorry…." I smile nervously knowing I was caught
"Here you can change into something comfy" He muttered paving the way to the closet
"My clothes…." I whispered slowly looking at what I'm putting on
"Don't worry, I already stuff the closet with new clothes"
"What….."
"Yeah…I'm downstairs you can come down when you're done changing" He said and went out
My eyes widened in surprise and I walk to the closet, slowly I opened it
"What….!!" I nearly screamed seeing the closet,
"Is this some joke? When will I finish wearing all these clothes?"
"That's the advantage of getting married to a billionaire," My conscience said in excitement meant
I smile and pick one of the bum shorts and crop top, I remove the dress that I wore, and put it in the laundry basket by the side before putting on the new clothing
I was done, I walked to the mirror, and wow…
"I look hot" I giggled with a smile, not recognizing myself as my hip and flat tummy are on full display
I walk downstairs and met Wane on the couch typing away on his laptop
"I'm done" I muttered catching his attention as his head snapped towards me, his mouth hanging open
"Boss….I….sent…" A guy coming into the living room talking to Wane couldn't finish his sentence as his gaze focussed on me with mouth wide open
Wane blinked his eyes as he turned to the guy,
"Silver leaves….." Wane said with a frown face
"Yes, boss…" He replied and left,
"Why are you wearing that?" Wane asked looking at me
I look at myself wondering what's wrong with what I'm wearing
"Is anything wrong with my clothe"
"Fuck….'' Wane cursed ruffling his hair like his upset
"That clothe should only be worn in the bedroom, not when my men are around they are staring"
"I'm sorry, you got them for me" I apologized
"It's okay" He sighed typing back on his laptop,
I walked toward him and sat beside him on the couch, deciding to start a conversation
"Do you live alone in this place?"
"Why do you ask?" He frown
"Nothing…..just wanted to start a conversation, to know you more" I muttered scratching my palms nervously,
He closed his laptop with a loud bang and turned to me
"Listen we may be married but that does not mean you should try getting close to me, remember no strings attached so expect nothing from me in this marriage, don't even try to get close to me"
He stood up with his laptop and left, leaving me in shock.
